Had an excellent birthday retreat to this lovely cabin! Just what was needed for some relaxation with the hot tub and turning of the leaves in view! Even grilled a couple steaks and ate by the fire pit, which was a nice vibe with the screened in patio that also had a nice ambience for chill fall night vibes! Inside was cozy and comfortable, thank you Skyes View Cabin for a memorable time while at the cabin!

A Bear in the wild.

Thanks to this place we got to see a small bear walk through the woods in the back and through the front. This is something that we did not expect but very happy to be able to witness. The property itself is very spacious and lots of hanging out areas so you can pick your relaxation spot. The deck with the hot tub was very nice, as well as the game room in the basement. Bring amenities if you are staying for long or with a group of people as the house has enough for a few days for a few people. Very close to Dollywood and very close to everything else downtown in Pigeon Forge. There is some steep roads to get to the cabin but nothing my midsize SUV couldn't handle. No view of the mountains but a great view of the woods. Would recommend.

Skye's View Cabin

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Skye's View cabin. It had everything we needed and was conveniently located to activities and shopping. The kids loved having their own space with plenty of games to keep them busy. We also loved the screened porch area and cooked out on the gas grill one night. We could have used a few more days as there was so much to do and not enough time to do it.

Great cabin for kids.

This is a nice little cabin. It is small, but we came to Tennessee to enjoy everything outside of the cabin. The bedrooms are all of good size. Tv's in each room. The mattresses were very comfortable. The bedding was nice & soft. The living room is small, just 1 sofa. The kitchen is also small, but has most things you need for cooking a nice meal. The pool table was great for myself & the grandkids. Overall I was very pleased with this cabin. Everything was clean. New shower curtains after each guest. The owners were the best. We communicated with them everyday. They answered us back within minutes. When the electricity was out, they sent us flash lights & water. The cabin is on well water. But you would never know it. It had great water pressure. The water was always clean. I give it 5 stars overall.

Horrible experience

No a/c and no refund This was by far the worst cabin/hotel experience of my life. The A/C did not work. The cabin was 80 on the main floor, and higher in the master upstairs. We checked in the first night after the check-in time (4 pm) and noticed the cabin was hot and turned all the fans and A/C on. The coolest it got that night was 78. The A/C, by the way, is monitored online by the owner. He is always able to see the cabin temp. The next day we contacted the owner about the issue and he said he would have a technician out the following day. This meant another unbearable night of 80 degree heat for us and our toddlers. The technician did not arrive until after 5 pm on the third day, and the issue had still not been fixed. Instead of resolving the issue, they turned off the unit and advised my husband to try going outside to turn it on again 3 hours later, 9 pm. This wasn’t even a guaranteed fix. We had enough and did not want to send our poor kids to bed nearly naked again just to survive the heat of the cabin with no promise of cool air soon. So a 7 pm we informed the owner we were leaving and wanted a full refund and he refused. NO WHERE should you be expected to stay in 80 degree housing that you are paying hundreds of dollars for a night. It is unimaginable to think to charge people for such horrible conditions that are 100% the owner’s responsibility. And how little integrity the owner has to not honor a refund. Beside the horrible A/C situation, there was unfortunately still much unpleasantries to be dealt with at the cabin. There were big cobwebs on the chairs out front, couldn’t use them. The wine glasses are left on an open cabinet and thus dusty. The hot tub’s temp can’t be changed and the jets don’t work. The master sink leaks every time its turned on getting all toiletries wet near it. The shower randomly slows and then spurts out. Some of the outlets don’t work. The one dresser provided looks like they picked it up from the side of the road. The fridge is missing a shelf, so perhaps it too was found on the side of the road. The stairs leading downstairs were too rickety and scary even for adults. Overall very dusty and run down, lots of nicks in the walls and uneven flooring. This is slum of a cabin.

Hi Adam, we once again would like to apologize to you and your family for the unfortunate situation with the AC at the cabin and hoped we had the opportunity to remedy the issue. Unfortunately, the AC freezing out is something that was completely out of our control. Please note that though the temperature of the cabin can be monitored remotely, unless we are informed of an issue, it is not checked. Had we been informed upon your arrival or the morning after your first night’s stay there was an issue with the temperature, we would have jumped into action right away. Much like we did when you informed us at almost midnight on your 2nd night. An AC technician was contacted right away with no success, though no surprise given the time of day. The tech was called again first thing the next morning, and came later that same day. Upon his inspection he found the coils to be frozen over. There was no other solution to defrost other than turning off the unit to allow it to do so. All unfortunate events for all, but again, completely out of our control. With that said, we refunded you 3 out of your 4 night’s daily rate as we do not have the capability to waive VRBO’s fees, all things that were shared with you immediately after your request of a full refund. We’re sorry that you felt our cabin was not up to your standards and hoped the outcome was different. We wish you and your family the very best and hope your next stay in the Smokey’s is a pleasant one.

A+++++ DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER!

Location! Location! Location! Cozy cabin, nice layout, 4 adults, plenty of room, slept comfortably with each having their own bed, mattresses are very comfortable, super clean cabin. Oh, and the view, especially from the top level....just breathtaking! We were able to get to Gatlinburg, the Island at Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, rafting in Hartford with such ease from this location. The owners are fabulous, organized, easy booking, easy check-in and amazing follow up! I can't thank you enough for making our stay memorable.
