Recently upgraded and beautifully furnished throughout, this private four bedroom home features a spacious floor plan, open kitchen, dining area, dedicated work space, and living room with 50” Smart TV.

Fully appointed modern kitchen, including stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with beautiful crisp new linens, pillows, and bed coverings. Master bedroom features a private en-suite bathroom and 48" Smart TV, as well as an additional master bedroom downstairs on the finished lower level.

Spacious living room includes a comfy sofa, a futon on the lower level for additional sleeping accommodations, patio door opening up to the screened-in covered back porch, multiple outdoor dining areas, private backyard, laundry area, on-site parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, and keyless access.

Dock/Boat Slip: The private dock is available for use for $50/day. Use of the dock is at your own risk and any accidents that may occur due to negligence are not the responsibility of the homeowner or property management.

Guests have full access and complete privacy inside the home and may enjoy full use of outdoor amenities as well. Instructions for access, check-in, checkout and directions to the home are provided in the house manual on VRBO. When checking out, please be sure all windows and doors are locked prior to your departure.

Relic of the 1950s unsafe outside and no TV service inside

The owner has spent a bit of cash trying to improve an old house (more to this below). But zero dollars or effort were spent to make the lakeside property area safe for guests. The pathway from the house to the shore is quite steep and very long and extremely unsafe because the actual "path" is only identifiable via a shallow, narrow depression in the dirt. That's filled with rocks and wood bits which are hidden under a thick, deep mat of wet leaves on top. A kind neighbor saw us struggling to not fall and told us to please use his paved pathway to avoid the serious risk of a broken leg. At water's edge is a scary, twisted, tilted ramp to the dock (50 EXTRA). The dock looked ok, but is unusable due to a fallen tree blocking the water. Inside, the house is roomy, but all windows are small, thus the whole place is dark and gloomy, so lighting is needed during daylight hours, The bed and bath rooms are redone and linens are ok. Furniture is newish. Neither TV would allow access other than Netflix, which only loaded in Spanish. Evening Management tried to help by phone but finally advised us to go online and get a new subscription. No outside or digital antennas would load. A friend called to tell us of approaching severe weather, possible tornadoes, and we could not get TV weather updates. Kitchen is equipped with old, beatup barely functional cookware. Multiple calls were required to gain access code and management's "Mister Plushy" who answered was not interested or helpful.

Hi Stanley, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear the stay did not hit the mark for you. That is never what we want, and we truly do take feedback seriously. Just to clear a few things up for future guests, the TVs in the home are smart TVs meant for streaming, not cable. We do not advertise local channels or satellite, and like most vacation rentals, guests use their own login for apps like Netflix. We tried to walk you through it over the phone, but we understand that setup may not have been what you were expecting. The home sits in a natural lakeside setting, so the terrain is not paved or landscaped like a city property. Things like the condition of the dirt path, fallen leaves, and even a tree blocking the water are part of the outdoor environment and, unfortunately, out of our control. That said, we will still take another look and see if any improvements can be made. We also want to note that weather, internet strength, and signal reception can vary depending on the guest’s provider and are also outside of our control. We do our best to help when tech issues come up, but there are limits to what we can do remotely when the connection is weak. We appreciate you staying with us, and we are taking your feedback into account as we continue to improve the guest experience.

ROACHES, MOLDED COFFEE GROUNDS, TRASH OVERFLOWING

Roaches, molded coffee grounds left in the pot, outdoor trash cans were over flowing when we arrived. I have pics to prove it. It was obvious that the management team, Plushyhost, had not made sure this house was ready for occupants and probably hadn’t even been there in a long time. The only good thing was the management team was quick to answer emails and text. They only offered to send a cleaning crew out, but at that point we had cleaned up the roaches and bought a new coffee pot. I did ask for another outdoor garbage can to put our trash in, but never got one. FALSE ADVERTISING as well. The property description says “ direct access” to your own “private dock” with use of all “amenities.” Of course that is why I choose this place because of the direct access to the water and dock. BUT NO - after I booked it and could not cancel, I received a list of rules that included “the dock and boat slip are not permitted to be used during guest stays.” Nowhere did it say this in the listing or rental agreement. I would but have stayed there to begin with if I would have known that. The management team has yet to make this right. I have asked for my money back minus the utilities used while my group was there. I felt like this was fair considering the neglected condition of the house and false advertising. I would have left but all hotels in the area were booked and could not accommodate my party due to a very large baseball tourney in the area. The management team has not reimbursed me, but only says they are reviewing my request. It has been over a week since I stayed there. I am getting the run around by a poorly run company who falsely advertised this property. DO NOT rent this property or any VRBO run by PlushyHost.
