Welcome to Poipu Sands 437! This top floor ocean view condo is spacious, updated and comfortable, with a 300+ sq ft lanai overlooking the cliffs of Shipwreck Beach, perfect for turtle, dolphin and whale watching (in season). There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a bonus lanai with gorgeous mountain views. The condo is nicely furnished and fully stocked to make your vacation a breeze. Poipu Sands is located on a large property with a pool, a tennis court, walking paths and lots of grassy lawn and beautiful landscaping. It is right next door to the Grand Hyatt and its restaurants and spa, Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Bay Golf Course, and only a short walk to Brennecke Beach and the famous Poipu Beach (frequented by sea turtles and monk seals) or a quick drive to several other beaches and many top notch restaurants.

We are excited for our guests to enjoy our new furniture, decor and air conditioners in both bedrooms!

Note that this is on the third floor with no elevator, but it’s definitely worth the extra steps if you are up for it!

We stayed for just over a week at this condo and I have so many great things to say about it! First off, it was so much better than we expected overall. The view was spectacular we saw whales almost daily. My baby and I watched the sunrise most mornings and they were just as wonderful as you can imagine. The condo is STOCKED in the best way!! Fully stocked kitchen for cooking, gear, all the things. I loved they provide baby gear for us young families. Huge bonus for us. There is a walking path right near the condo and you can quickly arrive at the beach and enjoy people watching or partake in the boogie boarding from shipwreck beach. The location is a quick drive to groceries, other beaches, or food out as well. The hosts were also helpful! We lost our baby’s pool floaty in a big windstorm and texted the owner to see if they could contact the staff there and it arrived back at our condo within 12 hours of losing it. I’m seriously beyond impressed. Ashely and Haythem were wonderful and their condo was a great place to park for a week of Hawaiian relaxing!

We had a wonderful time in Kauai. This condo was exactly as described. It was furnished with everything we needed. Wonderful trip, great stay

Everything is as pictured in the listing or better. It has everything you need and more. Communication with the owner was great. Check in was a breeze, we arrived late but had the door code and got right in. The grounds are well maintained, we took advantage of the pools and barbeque. It is right next door to the Grand Hyatt so we took advantage of their restaurants and did a day pass to the beautiful pools there as well (resortpass.com). Easy walk to Shipwreck Beach or Poipu Beach. 100% would recommend, would stay again.

Great trip, great place!

The place was great! Lots of space both in the unit and on the property, which we came to realize after walking around the area is not a guarantee at other nearby properties. Immediate proximity to shipwreck beach was awesome for morning walks and visiting the coffee bar at the Grand Hyatt next-door. We love the pool and the tennis court. Pool was never crowded so always found a lawn chair and umbrella. Views from the deck/lanai of the palm trees and ocean never got old. Would stay here again. Lovely hosts too!

Great location, but over priced

We just finished two weeks here, and while the location was a highlight, the unit fell short of our expectations. The condo is much older than it appeared in the photos, with single-pane windows showing corrosion, outdated appliances, and multiple cabinet doors with broken hinges hanging off. We had requested that the two twin beds be made into a king, which was forgotten upon our arrival and only half of the toaster worked. The bathroom fixtures are outdated, the water pressure was very low, and the entire unit had a strong sewage smell throughout our two-week stay! This was a significant drawback, it seemed like there was an issue with the complex's septic system. The view from the balcony was also somewhat misleading; while there is a beautiful partial ocean view to the left, the majority of the view overlooks the parking lot and hotel in front. That said, the condo is in a fantastic location, just a 5-minute walk to the beach in front of the Grand Hyatt and a great central spot for exploring the island. The owners were incredibly attentive and responsive, which greatly impacted our experience. They not only promptly replaced the toaster but also sent us a gift card to a local restaurant to apologize for the inconvenience. We also appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas provided. All major grocery stores were a quick 20-minute drive away. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the pool area at all, as they were redoing the roof of building #1 during our trip.

Gosh! What a wonderful stay! Booking a VRBO is sometimes like a ‘shot in the dark.’ You hope its as advertised. This condo was so well appointed! Spacious and the view, breathtaking! We slept w/the windows and screen doors. The ocean breeze was so lovely. Everything you need is there in the condo. Beach bag, small/large cooler, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs (4), boogie boards, water toys. The kitchen is well stocked w/all the appliances you need. Trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, shampoo/conditioner, hand soaps, and lotion. There was even two boxes of kleenex in each bedroom. Charging stations, games, puzzles, beach towels. Really we lacked for nothing. We chose to eat out. We bought coffee supplies, water and simple breakfast items. There is a brita water pitcher in the fridge, too. Ashely was wonderful w/her communication and checking in with us occasionally and answering our questions quickly when we contacted her. 100% recommend!! This is a third floor unit and although It wasn’t a deal breaker, something to consider if mobility is an issue. Thank you for a memorable stay!!

Loved the location! So peaceful and the grounds are beautiful! Short walk to the Hyatt and Shipwreck beach. Also a beautiful trail along the ocean just steps away from the condo. Owners were very responsive and helpful! And the breeze from the ocean was wonderful and made the condo very comfortable.

This is a really comfortable place. Location is awesome, easy walk to the beach. The pool is a really nice temperature. We used the grill just in front of the unit a couple times and it was great.

We loved our stay! Our hosts were very responsive and gracious. The property was very clean and comfortable. We loved the views and the location was perfect for us! The space was extremely comfortable. We didn't mind the 3rd floor as the views were worth it! Very nice Lanai! I recommend anyone to stay here. If we come back to Kawaii we will be staying in this property if available!

Amazing sunrise view!

We cannot say enough positive things about this condo. We are a family of 5, and it was perfect. Very spacious and comfortable unit with a huge lanai and the ocean view is amazing. Sip your coffee and watch the sunrise. The value in this unit cannot be overstated. Well stocked kitchen and charging stations at the bedside tables. Walk to the beach and surf the waves. Close to shops and restaurants. The owners have truly thought of everything! Very quintessential Hawaii. We will be back!

Fantastic 8 night stay with party of 5

Everything about our 8 night stay from August 26 thru Sep 3 was just fantastic! The condo was very liveable, with a nice wraparound, comfy couch, a lovely dining area, well-stocked kitchen which we used to prepare nice family dinners, and beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved the music playlist that Ashley had on the SONOs speakers. We also loved the convenience of having wireless chargers on each side of the bedrooms. We loved the incredible views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach from the third-story lanai, non stop 24/7 ocean breeze was intoxicating . The condo was close to walking paths along the scenic shoreline, as well as the Heritage Trail. Poipu beach was a 5 min car ride and has great snorkeling but getting in and out of the beach is tricky the coral reef rocks are sharp and one can get hurt with the crashing waves- so be cautious.The Grand Hyatt & Shipwreck Beach are right next door. The amenities included snorkel gear, beach bags, umbrellas, etc.--all the equipment needed for the beach and picnis! Something we didn't expect was the personal attention Ashley gave us. She emailed us before our stay with pertinent information, as well as during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed, and she got back to us immediately with answers to any questions. Ashley was an excellent host, very friendly, accommodating and great communication. I highly recommend Ashley's place and would definitely stay there if I visit again.
