Right on the Creek! Right on the ATV Trails! Right on the Horse/Hiking/Biking Trail! Right in the Heart of Elk Country! Ride, hike, float, swim, fish, hunt or just kick back, relax and enjoy the mountain views and the sound of the Bennett Branch flowing by while you enjoy a cold beverage around the fire pit. Forgot your beverage? No problem, the local pub is just across the road. We have 4 BRs, 2 BAs, 3 living areas, plenty of dining space, an awesome vintage metal kitchen, laundry and plenty of porch space to rock back, relax and enjoy! Don't be surprised if a herd of elk wander through the property, up the creek or graze in the fields on the other side.
Important Notes for Guest: Parking: The driveway is bumpy, take it slow. Do not park in front of the house. There is extra parking creekside of the garage.
Steps/outdoors: Property includes typical outdoor steps/terrain-please use caution. House in very rural area: occasional bugs or critters may get in despite pest control.

Very nice, well kept house and property. Large comfortable bedrooms. Lots of space in general. There Could have been a more handicap accessible outside entrance that was allowed use. Too many messages from property owner. Cameras on property not disclosed on booking site.

The kitchen was fully equipped with all items needed for our stay. Everything was neet, clean and orderly. Host was pleasant and very easily to communicate with and responded quickly with any questions we had.

Lovely older refurbished general store. This was our second stay. Very close proximity to the Elk Center and accessible to major routes. Quaint kitchen and large living and game playing areas. Minor issues this visit but the host was highly responsive.

Stayed for 3 nights. The house was clean and as described. The home was close to the Elk center which made travel easy and fast. The owners comunicated every day and were a pleasure to deal with. We will use again whe back in the area.

Wonderful Place!

We loved the house and how roomy and comfy it was for seven adults. Everyone could have their own space when needed. It is beautifully decorated with very nice furniture. Plenty of seats and a nice table for eating and playing games. You hear some traffic noise, but we knew the location and expected it. There are so many things to do in the area and never enough time to see it all. Thank you for sharing your place.

Lovely old country store

If you love historic places & the idea of staying in an old country store, then this is the perfect place. Conveniently located, beautiful setting. Very comfortable accommodations. Best part we watched cows & a bull elk our first night there right in the back yard! It was amazing. All around recommend;)

Very comfortable home!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this very comfortable, spacious home. Bedrooms are huge and beds are so comfortable. Kitchen has cooking amenities galore! Great cupboard space. Living room is terrific for a big family to sit and enjoy visiting, TV or games. Table was perfect for large family dinners. Thank you for making our family trip to Benezette a fantastic time together!!

Great place to stay

The house was exactly what we were looking for. Step outside and go fishing in a stocked stream. We had a slight issue with the WiFi when we got there but it was quickly resolved by the owners. It's close to the visitor center and to the other parks in the area to explore. None of us had cell service at the house so we had to solely rely on the WiFi.

Simply Outstanding!!!

This was one of the finest vacation homes we've ever experienced -- and we're seniors. This home was extremely clean and very well furnished and decorated. It had everything that we could have possibly needed, and more. We had five people in our party, but there was plenty of space to have our private time. This home is very spacious and could easily have handled ten people. There are three sitting areas with three flat screen TVs. The outside BBQ grill was brand new with a full tank of propane. The front porch was nice for watching the tourist. Walk across the street and you can have lunch or dinner inside or out with your favorite adult beverage. This is everything and more than what was listed on the web site. Very convenient location for traveling to the Straub Brewery, which has excellent German food, but call for hours first. Easy trip from there to the Kinzua Viaduct and Visitor Station. Lots of wineries and hiking trails -- but don't forget the elk at dawn and dusk. With all of the things to see and do, it was always refreshing to return to the comfort of our vacation home.

Great weekend in the woods

The property is a nice rustic experience. There are so many trees and a creek in the backyard. It's also within an hour to many great hikes and nature activities. Beds and couches were so comfortable. We all slept really well. There's plenty of games, tvs and WIFI, as well. We talked about coming back!

This home is special! The home itself is special from the 10' ceilings and display shelving in the original store to the vintage metal kitchen to the comfy beds to the porch rockers, pure old fashioned comfort. Every outdoor activity you came to Elk Country for is available right from the property. ATV/Snowmobile trails, hiking/biking/horse trails, creek access for fishing, swimming and floating available right from the property. There's even a bar and restaurant right across the street. We are right in the heart of the best elk viewing anywhere in elk country. We fell in love with this place the instant we saw it. We know you'll love it too.
