Golden Hill Town Forest Loop, a trailhead for leisurely wooded hiking, is less than a quarter mile of the home. Sandy Beach on Laurel Lake is directly across Rte. 20 from Golden Hill. The public access boat launch for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and ice skating is less than a half mile. 2 minute drive to downtown Lee, 5 to Lenox, 10 to Stockbridge, 15 to Pittsfield and 20 to Great Barrington. 12 minutes to Bousquet Ski Mountain and Resort, 21 to Ski Butternut and 34 to Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort. The main floor offers an open living plan with many windows, sweeping views and an abundance of natural light. From the front door, the entryway will lead you into a welcoming living area with sofa, loveseat and gas fireplace, where you can relax after a long day of exploring the Berkshires. Beyond is the open kitchen, fully equipped and stocked for preparing epicurean meals in the company of your friends and family while enjoying our lake views. The space flows into a dining area with dining table and seating for six. A hightop table at the bay window offers additional seating for 2, and countertop seating accommodates 5 more.
Sliding doors will lead you to our 2nd story deck with grill, dining table for 8, bench seating and patio chairs. Speakers on the deck allow you to enjoy the bluetooth stereo while mingling with your company. This spot is a highlight of the house, and in pleasant weather, where you will want to gather. You'll enjoy the peaceful setting and stunning views - and in the evenings, watching the breathtaking sunsets over Laurel Lake. A very relaxing and enjoyable space!
The main floor also includes one bedroom with queen bed and full ensuite bath with walk in shower. The living room sofa opens into a comfortable, full size bed, offering additional sleeping for 2.
The spacious upstairs loft is furnished with a queen bed, full sleeper sofa and daybed with trundle. In all it accommodates sleeping for 6. The full ensuite bath has a jetted tub, walk in shower and seated vanity. Comfortable sitting areas and marvelous views make the loft another great space for hanging out.
The lower level has its own kitchen (not stocked), eating area and living space. Board games and bluetooth TV are provided, making this a good go-to spot for children to play. Sliding glass doors will lead you out to the brick patio, where additional outdoor seating, dining and entertaining space is available. There is an umbrellaed table with seating for 6, as well as a sitting area with loveseat, patio chairs and coffee table. The patio flows into the spacious back yard where corn hole and ladder ball can be set up for your recreation, weather permitting.
