Family, group & pet friendly-This place was designed with fun in mind!
From the twin-size porch swing to the games to the backyard hangout & playset.

2 blocks from the fair, Aldi’s 2 blocks away, easy to find, 3 miles to downtown, fully stocked kitchen, 4 beds & a couch.

We personally renovated this for the sole purpose of being an short term rental. Which means we put ALOT of thought into the details and maximizing space as well as opportunities for fun.

This is a cute space that we created with families/small groups in mind!

Kids are welcome, pets are welcome. We strive to provide you a place that feels homey, cozy, and cool.

The entire house and spacious backyard are yours!

Other things to note
There is one bedroom (and couch) on the main level. The other 3 beds are downstairs. If this is a problem for you, please don’t book.

The host was wonderful. The unit was very cute and clean. We felt very welcome. The location was central to our needs. We wish we could have enjoyed the backyard more, but time did not permit. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and host.

This is the cutest little house! It had everything we could possibly need. Backyard area is amazing and kept the kids entertained. House was clean and functional. Beds are comfortable! Awesome location!

Great location and Great host

We had a wonderful stay! Jessica was a great host—very responsive and easy to communicate with. The property had plenty of space for our family of six and was in a fantastic location, just minutes from Wells Fargo Arena. Everything was as described, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our two day mini vacation to Iowa. Our daughter turned 14 on Monday August 4th and we spent the day at Adventureland having a blast and the fun continued when we were back at Jessica’s house we rented. This house is kept up very well and was so cozy to spend time in. It is very obvious how much care goes into this rental for their guests! It was also extremely easy to communicate with our host, Jessica. We Will definitely stay here again if we are back in that area for any overnight plans!!!

The place was perfectly decorated and created a very cozy environment that is literally just 3 miles from HyVee Center. The house is located close to restaurants and a grocery store which made it really nice. We enjoyed playing card games and relaxing in-between our wrestling event. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you!!

Car show

My I wanted to come in early because of the car show. The owner of the place was very kind. Gave me upfront pricing on checking in early. The person had very clear communication part throughout the whole process. They always reached out to me within 24 hours of me sending a message to them when we got there. It was beautiful. It was very quaint and more than I expected the pictures on a line made the bed look smaller than what they actually were. There were four queen size beds and they were all very comfortable. I enjoyed the backyard and it’s six blocks three blocks down three blocks over to the state fairgrounds, which was a nice easy walk.

Got there 30 minutes early they were still cleaning, drove around and did a little shopping. Messaged 15 minutes after check in time was told 10 to 15 more minutes. Only partial roll of toilet paper was left, couldn’t find anymore, messaged and they said they would bring more. Bedroom had no light switch, found out you have to pull the chain of the ceiling fan for light. Go thru the bathroom to get to basement.

Hi there Donna- I reached out to you on the platform and via text (you read but didn’t respond to both) about check in time bc we had work being completed that day. FYI- You are not ENTITLED to early check in, that is a courtesy that hosts extend when/if available. Summer months are busy with back to back check ins, so if you expected early check in, you should have maybe replied & communicated that. Also FYI- I’m a HUMAN BEING who owns & runs this property. The extra TP was in my car, I had simply forgot and when you asked I drove it right over immediately! (You failed to mention my promptness in your review) Your sour attitude, negative outlook and worse yet- that of your daughter’s leaves me weary worrying about what host you will torture next. Perhaps you are better suited for a hotel next time….

Not as it seems

The owner was very good at communicating and very helpful. House was not quite as it seemed in the description. Basement bedrooms did not have egress window (major fire hazard). Had to through the bathroom to get to the basement. Very dangerous stairs even for able bodied 20 somethings and kids. (The stairs were mentioned in the description but were worse than expected). Bed upstairs comfy but sat very,very low to the floor making it difficult to get out of. Outside play area was ok, had to buy camp chairs as those provided were ripped out and unuseable. Neighborhood was not exactly family friendly (got to see the police in action a few doors down). Very cute decor and very well stocked for any of your needs. Front porch swing is awesome.

Great Time in Des Moines

My family loved this quaint little home. The main floor has one bedroom with a curtain for a door. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed starting my day and ending my day with a cup of coffee on the porch swing. My daughters (6 and 12) loved playing in the backyard and having their own area in the basement. Those beds were comfortable as well. They also enjoyed having their own TV with Netflix. I did see a prior comment mentioning the stairs. I know everyone is different, however, my husband and I are in our mid-40's and the stairs were fine. A little steeper than ours at home but this is an older home. The neighborhood is comprised of small older homes. We got a chance to meet the neighbors and they are very nice. The house is on a side street of a busier street but there was no road noise from inside the house and very little while on the porch. The location was central to everything we wanted to see and do. The owner was very responsive and even left a splash pad for my kids to play with due to the hot weather. Would definitely stay again.
