This unit is in walking distance of SoCo (South Congress), which is a massively popular spot in Austin known for trendy stores and restaurants! It is also really close downtown, and many of the best green areas in Austin (Zilker & Barton Creek Greenbelt). Strolling on SoCo you'll find many cheap eateries, cool thrift stores, and Austin classic dive bars.

This home is tucked nicely away but close to downtown, making it an ideal location if you are coming for a major business event or concert, like ACL, F1 or SXSW.

There is a bus stop right in front of the complex, and it is an easy drive to downtown. Just take 1st street all the way in. Getting around is quick and easy. The apartment is situated between major access highways: 290 (south) and Mopac (west) as well as major local road Lamar, with great food and shopping all around. Downtown Austin is just 3 miles down the road, if you just take South 1st you will reach it. There is FREE parking on-premises.

The 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, open living/kitchen and wide windows worked very well for two 70ish brothers (Kansas City/Ottawa) spending 5 nights together in Austin. Good bedding/towels. We had brought breakfast and didn’t cook, save boiling water for coffee (there was a coffee maker but we preferred drip). The gym was used every morning. The Congress St location also worked well for us – we use a car to get around. The negatives: the traffic noise prevented a sleep-through sleep; no hangers; the broken TP holder; the fridge ice maker continuously making ice; the “Host” not responding to e-mails (the apartment owner is “Hikaru”, sends e-mails but doesn’t reply to replies, gives a ph # which is different from the VRBO’s Host ph #, who’s called Christine). The overall positives: Austin architecture; Rainy St/6th St (appreciated the early evening performances); the Colorado River walks/talks; the restaurants…the get-together.

This elegant and cozy 2B2B unit is just located on the south side of Downtown Austin which is just 3 miles away. This gives you direct access and just walking distance to supermarkets you could go into for groceries. Features a coffee maker, and microwave, plus a bistro table with seating for four. There is a full kitchen, bathrooms with tubs, high-speed wifi, and AC to bring you comfort. The location is super close to all that Austin has to offer, including SXSW and ACL.
