Cozy Lake Winnipesaukee Camp on Braun Bay with spectacular views

Cozy Lake Winnipesaukee camp style get-a-way on a private point of land. Enjoy water views on all three sides. Cute as can be with leather furniture in the living room and a gorgeous fieldstone fireplace. Perfect for small groups. 2 bedrooms and two full bathrooms.4 people, including children maximum. The property is located on a wooded , naturally landscaped lot with a small access way into a shallow sandy bottom area of the lake. Wonderful views from the screen porch and kitchen looking out to Goose Island. There is a small dock that accommodate up to a 16 ft. shallow boat. This property is located in Braun Bay and the waterfront can get busy on weekends with boat traffic frequenting a nearby sand bar. Water depth is approximately 2 and a half feet at the end of the dock and can vary. There is a wall unit AC in the living room. Don't miss out on this great vacation spot. PLEASE NOTE: the loft is off limits and not to be accessed by guests.

Please note: Sheets and towels are NOT INCLUDED with this rental. If you would like to rent sheets and/or bath towel packages from At The Lake Vacation Rentals, the cost of sheets (including arrival bed making) for this home is $75.00. Towel packages are $12.00 per person. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like to rent sheets and bath towels as availability is limited.

We spent a lot of time on the screened in back porch and on the dock! We can’t wait to return to the same spot next year! We had some great rides on our kayaks, and we enjoyed swimming in the lake!

This was our second family trip to the lakes region and we celebrated my son's 14th birthday! Loved the location of the house and area on the lake! Perfect for our family!

Wonderful Escape Spot

Overall this place is a magnificent little lakeside escape spot. The cabin itself has the charm of an old cabin. It wasn't quite as clean as we expected when we arrived, but nothing we couldn't overcome quickly. The location is amazing. with easy access to the water. Anyone staying here should be aware that the Braun Bay sandbar brings party boats just about all day, every day in the Summer and the music is loud. Completely harmless, but for anyone looking for that quiet hideaway, they won't find it here except the first few hours in the morning and after 9:00 or 10:00ish at night. We found the party boats amusing. The small wildlife we shared the point with was a blast. Plenty of birds, chipmunks, mallards, mergansers, geese, loons, and a water snake were fun to watch from the screened in porch and the large picture window in the dining area. The air conditioner was a life saver the first couple nights before it cooled off. The tv is old and worthless, but tv should be the last activity on your mind if you stay here. Proximity to Moultonborough Farms is perfect for getting local produce and a short drive to Center Harbor of Meredith gives you the lake town experience. It's managed by a property managment company so you have to stop at their office on the way to get the keys and drop them off on the way out. No modern contactless entry, but all that is part of what makes the place like an old fashioned cabin experience. This place was quite a find and we would absolutely stay again.

We honored my aunt and uncle at Tangelwood Shores on the Neck as they passed 4 days apart from one another in July. We also road the cog train up Mt. Washington to the highest summit! We kayaked around Braun bay and Heit cove several times! Can’t wait toGo back next year!

Wonderful ON-WATER Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin's screen porch is a delightful location to see birds and watch the lake. The water is literally a few feet away. Can easily here waves lapping the rocky shore from most windows. The lake surrounds the house on 3 sides. Feels like being on a boat without any rocking!Cabin is smallish with only two bedrooms -- the limit of 4 people is accurate. Kitchen is laid out funky, but functional. Didn't use the fireplace, but would be great in slightly colder temperatures. Has a charcoal BBQ.For those who like lake-swimming, there is a shallow sandy bottom near the dock and the water temperature was 'refreshing' once away from shore.We brought a 15' canoe. Lake was absolutely wonderful for it. Tied up at the pier overnight. About 2' of water at the pier, so no deep-draft vessels. Power boaters and jet skies steered clear and left us alone while we canoed around.Others have mentioned week-end noise from boaters and jet-skis on the lake. Yep. But gone by 9PM during our stay. Not very much noise Monday-Thursday - mostly jet skis 1/2 way across bay. Noise was not a problem for us, but if you're sensitive... Mornings (even week-end) were absolutely quiet, except for the sounds of nature.The management firm (At the Lake Vacation Rentals) was very responsive to some minor issues. They have additional documents you'll need to sign before getting there. If you're like me, ask for them via a query before sending VRBO any funds.Highly recommend this unit!
