Wonderful stay

We visited for a quick weekend trip and were very impressed with the cleanliness and the amenities provided! The kids enjoyed the provided board games and the adults appreciated the fully stocked kitchen.

Great place to stay

The house was nice and clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The check-in process was a small struggle due to a typo but checkout was quick and easy. We would stay here again.

Very nice place in a bit of a sketchy area. Host was very attentive and available immediately whenever called. Had everything we needed and was close to all Hocking Hills attractions.

Nice House

The house was nice, be prepared the area is a very old town. The town folk were wonderful people to us. The scenery of this area, is very beautiful, especially during the Fall season.

Great little house

It was clean and worked great for us. It's one about 20-30 minutes to old man's cave and lake Logan. We had a great stay.

Family weekend

House is well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of room for the whole family. Just a short drive from Athens and OU which made it perfect for visiting our student.

Great Weekend

Enjoyed our stay at The Milroy- comfy beds, roomy space and everything very clean. Close to the Hocking Valley Railway which we did and 12 year old grandson had great time at The Fun Barn. And of course Hocking Hills hikes! Thanks for the awesome weekend!

Weekend stay

We did a weekend stay, all adults. The rooms were nice, beds were comfortable. Only disappointment was the grill didn't work and the food stuck to the pans when we cooked. Home is located down the street from a small grocery store which was super convenient, and if we had wanted fast food it was close by as well. Nice home, good hosts.

The furnishings were good beds comfortable. Showering was good. Loved the soap dispenser in the showers. Everything was comfortable sitting on .the only bad thing was the mildew smell that we incontered upon leaving and coming back we sprayed fabreeze in all rooms that helped.so has a whole everthing was good except the mildew

Family trip to Hocking Hills

Our family of 4 stayed at this convenient, clean, and functional house. The neighborhood leaves a little to be desired but we had no problems and once you are inside, you forget about it because you have everything you need within reach. We came to hike at Hocking Hills and the location was convenient to do so. Unfortunately, our first day was rainy so we needed to fill our time. The town of Nelsonville is very small with very few options of activities but it is close enough to Logan and Athens that we found things to do and places to eat, etc.

Great space for some family but the neighbors…

This was a great space and accommodated our family.We were in town for the Nelsonville Music festival. The only reason that this wasn’t rated higher was that the neighborhood/ neighbors were not welcoming to all. At night houses on the street and surrounding streets flew confederate flags and it gave off a very sundown town vibe. We were meeting friends and I did not feel comfortable having them in that neighborhood.

Girls weekend away

This home is very clean, it has comfortable beds, the bedrooms are good size, and we really loved the layout of this home. The neighborhood is quite which was nice. There is off street parking too. The owners are very nice and when communicating, they get back with you quickly. Our arrival time was pretty late, so they went over and made sure the back porch light was on for us. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great experience!! Jennifer C

Even though we did not meet the owners in person but David was quick in responding to our emails with good communications. The house was exactly as pictured, had everything we needed, and right in between Hocking Hills Park and Ohio University in Athens. When David knew of ETA he went to the house turner on the lights and cranked the AC because it was a hot day. Everything was to our satisfaction. We definitely recommend Cheerful 👍

Cute place, weird smell

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and up to date with fresh paint. It smelled like an old folks home and the air freshener used to try to cover it up was pretty stinky too. The fry pans were awful. We ruined our breakfast using them bc everything stuck to them. We made the best of it. Could have used a box of tissues. Enjoyed seeing our daughter at OU and this place was within 10-15 so that made it nice. We’d stay here again if the smell could be eliminated. Abandoned house next door was kind of creepy but that’s no fault to the owner. Also asked if we could have a later check out and owner never replied.
