Welcome Aboard!
The SS. Minnow is a classic Florida three-bedroom pool home that sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico with an expansive private beach and one of the best views on the Island!

The SS. Minnow can only accommodate a minimum of 7 night stays.

This eco-friendly, well maintained home uses solar panels to harness radiant light and heat from the sun and convert it to solar power. Guests are encouraged to recycle and reduce plastics in order to help preserve the fragile environment of North Captiva. Bring only what you need and leave a small footprint.

North Captiva Island is unique and treasured by all who visit.
We hope you "join us here for a week, my friend"

The Minnow is our favorite place to stay!

Everything about the Minnow is as perfect as can be! We love the pool, which is heated and wonderful to enjoy in its enclosed area even on windy days. We love the short walk to the beachfront. The house is spacious and comfortable for our group of five and Mary Anne is a great host!

Truly wonderful

We had the absolute best week at the SS Minnow. The house was perfect, the location was awesome, and Mary Ann and Sarah are just great people. Mary Ann really cares- about the island, the house, and that you have a great stay. She even provided extra activities, treats, and supplies just when we needed them. Would 100% recommend especially for those looking for a relaxing, authentic week in North Captiva. (Thank you again, Mary Ann!)

The Minnow is Paradise!

This is our sixth year staying at the Minnow and our ninth year on North Captiva Island. The island is amazing and the Minnow is perfect for our small family of three and also my parents who come along each year. (After we found the Minnow, we decided we couldn’t stay at any other house on the island.) There are always a few fun surprises at the house and the beach gets better and better each year. We greatly appreciate the owner and really respect how the home is always in its best condition, even after the island was hit by a couple bad storms in recent years. There is definitely nothing like a week in Paradise staying at the Minnow! It is our favorite place in the whole world!

Amazing week on North Captiva

We had an amazing week at the SS Minnow with our 3 kids (ages 2,5 and 6). From check-I’m to check out the trip was perfect. The home had everything we needed and was in the perfect location. We were delayed a day because of a canceled flight and Mary Anne (the owner) went above and beyond to make sure our groceries and kids equipment that were being delivered made it to the home. The house was stocked with beach toys and kids toys and books that our children loved. Mary Anne made the week very special for our kids with art projects, postcards to mail, and even a pop-up candy stand! We enjoyed the beach, shelling, the pools (at the house and the club), ice cream, golf cart rides around the island, wildlife viewing, meals over looking the ocean and sunsets on the roof deck! Our family can’t wait to go back to stay at the Ss Minnow. It was the perfect spring break vacation!
