This large basement apartment has a separate entrance for your privacy. With a full kitchen, living room, dining area, 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private laundry room, and lots of storage you will have plenty of space to spread out and unwind. It is the perfect place for a long weekend get-away or a longer-term stay in the Salt Lake area. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am.

It was beautiful, clean and the perfect place to stay for a few days. The beds were very comfortable and it was close to everything we needed.

Lots of room! It is a basement living area but it was very quiet. The hosts were very kind. Would stay here again.

The gathering place is exactly what it is!!! As soon as we walked in we felt at home. It's spacias, and homey. Big enough to accommodate a good amount of people. Beds were comfortable The trampoline in the backyard was a perfect touch for the kids and the jacuzzi for the adults! Great area and huge plus to be so close to everything ... airport, shopping mall and restaurants! Only bummer was it rained for most part of the stay.

Great stay

When we arrived, the cleaners were still there for 10 more minutes. The owner was responsive, friendly, and easy to work with. The space was great for the number of guest's. The location was only 5 minutes from all the shopping at the District. I would book here again.

Just what we needed

We came for a week with some colleagues to do some training and attend an event for our non-profit. The accommodations were just what we needed and in a great location. The host was responsive to answer our questions and we all slept comfortably.

This is a roomy basement and very accommodating for a large family. It has everything you will need. Very clean! I would stay here again!

This space is very reasonably priced and convenient to shopping & activities in the area. It was sufficient for our group of 9 in regards to sleeping, but the common area is not large enough to accomodate more than 6 people without extra chairs. The kitchen could use more prep ware and cooking utensils. There are many cosmetic flaws in this space, but everything functions. The issues preventing me from recommending this space are: inadequate internet; I suspect it is shared with the permanent residents upstairs because streaming was an issue, even when only the single tv and two other devices were being used; the temperature is controlled only by the upper unit, and it was uncomfortably hot, even with windows open. When I contacted the host they confirmed that we had no control, and suggested we open the windows. After I contacted them it was a little cooler, but we still experienced some overly warm periods, even when only half of our party was present. The most conerning issue, however, was the cleanliness. It appeared as if this space only received a cursory cleaning before we arrived, & possibly does not get consistent deep cleaning. Hair in the bathroom drawers, dirty baseboards, food spills on kitchen cupboards, and food and trash under the sofa cushions. The carpet also appeared to be fairly dirty, which was a concern since our group had 2 toddlers under 2. If they could resolve these issues I would definitely stay again, but with max 6 people if we were there a lot.

Wonderful for family reunion

We were in Utah for a family reunion with family who live there. The location was perfect. Central to our other family members. The beds were good. The kitchen was roomy and everything was clean. The air conditioner stopped working and as soon as I messaged Caitlin, she had a technician out and it was fixed by the time we got back that evening. It is a basement apartment, but definitely not a dungeon. We all enjoyed ourselves very much.

Read listing carefully

The listing is for an apartment but shows a large home. It is actually the basement of that home. The pictures show a very clean house but the carpets were dirty and the rooms smelled very stale. There is no venting for the stove to the outside so smells and smoke lingered. There was no temperature conrols and the use swamp coolers were required to regulate the temp. All of the windows were extremely dirty and the basement window bays were full of weeds and trash, so letting in air and light wre hampered. The beds were very well worn and were not very comfortable.There is only one entry/exit and it leads you through a garage and workshop to the side of the house. Access to the yard is through that entry and a gate. The grass needed cutting and the hot tub needed servicing ( water smelled stale). All else was available but there was tons of trash in the sand and around the trampoline. There is no grill available. All the amenities for the kitchen were great ...plenty of dishes and utensils and cookware. Unfortunately i didn't read the ad very well and was deceived by great pictures. The place was roomy and there were plenty of towels. There was a 10pm noise curfew and the owner who lived upstairs broke it quite often. Finally the owner did not respond to questions very timely throuh the messaging system.

Nice but needs updating

This property had some pros and cons for us. I'll start with the pros. It was plenty spacious and had plenty of beds for our large family. The location was good and there are a lot of stores and restaurants close by. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, even with the occasional noise from the owners upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed. Now for the cons, it is a bit old and outdated. The bunk beds are really uncomfortable and creak loudly. The bath tub was kind of gross and we couldn't get the plug to stay closed so the water kept going down. Not that big of an issue, since there is another shower, so we just used that one. Also, the entrance is a little difficult. The entry is through a crowded garage and the bottom of the stairwell, where you enter the rental, is VERY dark! Unless you have your phone for a light, or a flashlight, you won't be able to see the numbers to punch in the code. We had small children, so having the dining table on carpet was not ideal, but also, not a deal breaker. We enjoyed our stay and thought the hosts were great, just thought it needed a little updating.

Very spacious basement apartment close to shopping. Few important details left out in description.

Stayed one week+ at property, very spacious basement apartment. Three large bedrooms, one with queen bed and two sets of bunkbeds. The queen mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The murphy bed in the living room very comfortable. Bunks we didn't use. Kitchen well stocked, extra storage for skis, ect. One TV in living room, none in bedrooms. Overall, updated and modern. Can tell a lot was put into this property. The noise! A big family lives upstairs, so our day started at 7am. Thank goodness we had places to go in the morning, there is absolutely no sleeping past 7am. The running and stomping usually stopped by 9pm. They have house rules that state it may be loud, and if you don't like it, it may not be the place for you. We were a bit stuck with the accommodations but had we known this probably would have chosen somewhere else. The other house rule that we were not told was they have a no alcohol allowed on the premises. Didn't know this until after we brought a bottle of wine in. Over all, the property was fine. Spacious, clean, fully stocked. The noise and no alcohol rule would make us choose differently.

Lots of room..but…

We had a family event w/8 people & a dog! Rental was fine as far as space, beds comfy, plenty of towels, large kitchen & table.I ran to store to buy dish soap. Windows & blinds difficult to open & no HVAC control in basement we needed the windows @ times. Kitchen cabinet interiors need some tlc. You enter through side door & through garage that was full of stuff & lots of screws allover floor. 4 parking spots on side of driveway almost always taken by someone else.One night we returned there were 3 construction workers 1 yelled @me wanting his $400. I explained I don’t live here just renting the VRBO in basement. They were not happy & fighting w/ another man, they said they wanted their payment for the work. I was hoping they wouldn’t slash our tires thinking we were owners. I spoke to VRBO owner & she apologized. Big prob was construction work every day above our heads,very loud.I spoke w/owner about this & she said they had a deadline to finish the bedroom. We were not made aware of this @ booking, we agreed it would be business hours for noise. It was loud. Also the noise from family upstairs @ times was loud. When speaking abt this she said there was a noise curfew of 10. I told her I wasn’t aware. Problem was her family was noisy til 1 am @ times w/moving things & banging on floor. Owner brought us yummy cookies 2x that was nice.Bottom line: lots of space & if you don’t have to deal w/construction it will be a good stay.
