Newly furnished beach house on Chappy with great outdoor living space including outdoor shower, hot-tub, and two deck areas with grill. One acre on secluded Chappy very close to East Beach, Cape Poge, and the Wasque Reserve. Two spacious bedrooms in the main house and one large detached Queen room with private bath over the garage, three living rooms (one with sectional and tv, one with Queen pull-out, and one more formal with couch and swivel chairs) and dining room that seats eight. Peleton and work-out area in basement. Minutes to Edgartown, restaurants and night-life with the serenity of Chappy. Family friendly set-up with two kayaks, games, corn-hole, basketball, and world-class fishing steps away! Drive over-sand to secluded beaches and come back to outdoor shower, hot-tub and complimentary bottle of wine! Also have three bikes to tool around with or take to beach. The Chappy Ferry is a beloved institution- just plan ahead when heading off island.

What a fantastic week on Chappaquiddick! This property was the perfect fit for our family and dog. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. After a day of exploring the island, it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Our dog loved having the yard to run around in, and we all appreciated the easy access to the Chappy ferry and local beaches.The host was incredibly responsive and helpful from the moment we booked. He provided fantastic recommendations for local fishing spots and obtaining our OSV permit that really made our trip special. We can't wait to come back!

We have fallen in love with Chappy, and Christian’s beautiful home. The island is so peaceful - the perfect place to restore the soul. The sunsets at Wasque beach are magical.We spent our days taking relaxing walks on the beach, playing corn hole and basketball, and grilling on the beautiful deck.Christian is an awesome host - very responsive and accommodating. The house is cosy and comfortable, and we loved the decor. The kitchen appliances are top notch.This is a very special place - we would love to come back!!

This is a very well appointed house in a quiet location. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. It is tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The bikes and kayaks are a great addition as there are many quiet spots to check out on the island. Chappaquiddick is beautiful and far less crowded than the rest of the Vineyard— just take whatever food you need, otherwise you’ll need to go back into Edgartown occasionally. I can recommend this property without any hesitation - we had a great time there.

Nice relaxing atmosphere

Christian was an excellent host. He was always available and responded in a timely fashion when we had questions. His house was a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of Edgartown. The house was fully stocked with all you need. There was even had a fancy latte machine for this coffee loving family. He had a selection of dvd movies to pick from, of course we watched Jaws. We enjoyed spending time at the beach, riding bikes around the island, watching the fishermen catch large blue fish on the beach and playing corn hole in the front yard. The Mytoi Japanese gardens were disappointing, very buggy and not much to look at. There wasn’t much going on at the Community Center so not worth paying the fee however they did allow us to use the pickleball courts so that made up for it. There is not much to do on Chappy for younger families but I would definitely recommend for families with older children who want a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge. Thank you Christian for the opportunity to use your home for our family vacation!

One of the best VRBO stays in memory

I’ve had a few VRBO stays, and this was one of the best. Yes, the property was beautiful, but Christian, our host was all we could have asked for and more. He reached out not long after we booked with detailed info about the house and how to get there. It was our first visit to Chappy, so he helped us navigate the ferry and find restaurants on the island that were open over the holiday. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. The home was beautifully furnished and so comfy for my husband and me (and our puppy). Everything worked! No need to contact the host about the cable or wifi. We cooked almost every night and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house is tucked away off the main road and a short ride from the beach. Luckily, it was warm for November, so we enjoyed a beautiful walk on East Beach. Getting back and forth on the Chappy Ferry was easy. We did Thanksgiving dinner with friends in Vineyard Haven, Black Friday shopping in Edgartown, and the Christmas tree lighting in Oak Bluffs. We didn’t brave a night in the hot tub at the house, but Christian let us know we could have! This was the perfect Thanksgiving getaway, so I can’t imagine what it’s like during the summer. We’re grateful to Christian for the gift of his home and hospitality. It was just what we needed!

Wonderful family vacation

First, the house was immaculately clean!! We had the best week and could not have been more comfortable staying in this beautiful home. Its nicely secluded on chappy island and very quiet. From the furnishings to the artwork, everything is just lovely. Very large deck with a huge outdoor fireplace, hot tub and outdoor shower. Although you can't beat the restaurants on the island, we found we enjoyed many of our evenings "cooking in" and relaxing in this wonderful space. The host was wonderful, left us a lovely bottle of wine upon arrival and checked in with us during our stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better place, I highly recommend.

Happy on Chappy

We loved loved loved this house and Chappy. I got up and walked the beautiful one mile to the beach, took a swim and went back for breakfast on the deck. This house was comfortable and tastefully appointed. We ate inside and we ate outside. No bugs! Hope we get to do experience it all again. The peloton and gym in the basement kept our endorphin levels high ……always a plus when in family settings!

Great Property! Very clean and comfortable. I have a bad back so I’m sensitive to furniture/pillows/beds with no support. This house has been furnished with care not cheap stuff from Homegoods/Wayfair. The island itself is an oasis from the crowds. We’re planning on staying here again, next year. Christian, the owner, couldn’t have been more accommodating. Great host!

Family vacation

This VRBO was absolutely perfect for 6 adults. Plenty of room, plenty of beds, plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was very well appointed. We used the hot tub every night. The AC worked very well which was good because it happened to be fairly hot and humid during our stay. The house is in a quiet neighborhood away from the busy-ness of the other MV towns, but was easily accessible by the Chappy Ferry. I would absolutely recommend this listing to anyone staying with a family. Several beaches are only 10 minutes drive away and they are not crowded at all. Very close to golf and Japanese gardens as well.

Father’s Day Weekend getesway

We had a marvelous weekend in Martha’s Vineyard at this lovely home in Chappaquiddick. The house had everything you could need, inclues wonderful coffee maker! Communication with the owner was great. It was easy to take the ferry back and forth to Edgartown and do nice to be able to explore East Beach and Wasque. The house itself was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the Celtics together in the TV area, and also had fun playing basketball and using the hot tub!

Chappy Life

This is my second time staying at this property and it is perfect! The house itself is beautiful and so clean! The owner is always making improvements and this year there was an awesome bean to cup machine and a new propane fire table for relaxing on the deck by the hot tub. Chappy itself is a beach lovers dream and expect to see lots of birds, some bunnies and some deer. Plan ahead for groceries to avoid going back and forth to the main island and plan a night in Edgartown for dinner. Lastly, the host is amazing too and I cant’t wait to go back!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. The decor is coastal…love all Annie Selke furnishings. We enjoyed the hot tub and back deck despite being chilly. Christian was extremely helpful and responsive. All in all, we had a wonderful long weekend and hope to come back again soon.

So Happy on Chappy

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It had all the comforts of home and more! Lots of space for fun and relaxation indoors and out. The hot tub and outdoor fireplace was a perfect spot to unwind after a day of swimming at fishing at local private beaches. The kids loved running in the yard and playing basketball. It is the perfect peaceful getaway. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Vacation Getaway

We have been to the Cape many times but realize now how little we knew about Martha's Vineyard. We are so happy that we chose this house. Chappaquiddick (Chappy) is magical. The short, convenient Chappy ferry takes you from bustling and beautiful Edgartown to a completely different environment. It is quiet and open with undeveloped farmland and miles of pristine beaches. The house did not disappoint either. Private, spacious and very accommodating. Everything was immaculate and comfortable. We truly appreciated all of the details that the owners had thought out. The whole house was stocked with everything we would have at home, making it very easy to just purchase a few food items, make a great meal either on the grill or stove and hang out. We looked forward to going back after sightseeing and using the hot tub, having a few drinks and even dancing on the deck. We had two couples so two master suite areas was wonderful. They are in opposite sections of the house and provide a great sense of privacy and separation. We used the bikes provided to explore the island and our only regret was that we only had four days. We will definitely be back for a family vacation with our grown children. One word of caution-if you plan to take your car, be sure to book the ferry from the mainland to Martha's Vineyard early. We did not and had to get a rental car due to unavailability on the ferry that can accommodate vehicles. Thanks Christian for a wonderful getaway. Your house is lovely!

Comfortable home on peaceful Chappy

Would highly recommend for families. In-law suite above garage was a nice set up for accompanying grandparents (although outside staircase may be tricky for some folks). House was clean, updated, beautifully and comfortably furnished, well-equipped with all we needed including linens, beach towels, soaps, etc. Host was kind and responsive. Just a short drive to the beautiful East beach or Wasque.

Our new favorite island!

We loved Chappaquiddick. The beaches were wonderful with hardly any people. No traffic, just beauty here! Getting to Edgartown and the rest of MV was super easy on the Chappy Ferry. The house was perfect for us. My husband and I had plenty of privacy in the suite over the garage while the rest of the family slept in the main house. The house was beautiful with plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the hot tub and playing corn hole in the evening. Can't wait to go back!

After a long search for homes on Martha's Vineyard we found this beautiful Chappy retreat and bought our dream beach home in 2022. We have updated it with details we love like fresh white paint, new beach-inspired décor, and fantastic outdoor spaces. I live in Cambridge, Ma and work in downtown Boston in finance. Kylie is a trained Opera singer (Melbourne and London) who currently lives in London and teaches at the Westminster School and London City Girls School. She also sings professionally. I grew up coming to the Cape and Islands and knew someday I'd be back! We truly hope you enjoy our home as much as we do! It is not just a rental property to us- we come as much as we can and absolutely love it!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

What we love about this property and home is three-fold. First of all its on Chappy- a truly stunning place in time, history, and beauty! The beaches are amazing and uncrowded- and you can drive over-sand all the way to Cape Poge and all the way down to the Wasque Reserve. It has numerous walking trails, golf course, Slip Away Farm, and lovely residents. I encourage you to join the Chappaquiddick Community Center and meet the people- but also enjoy pot-luck dinners, summer music series, and other great activities and events like yoga, tennis and sailing lessons, and ice cream window.

Secondly, the house sits on one acre of private land with a large front and back yard. We have two decks with new outdoor furniture, grill, outdoor shower, hot-tub, basketball court, and outdoor games like cornhole. Did I mention the terrific neighbors and caretaker too? There is a shed where we keep extra propane, games, basketball etc.

And thirdly- the house itself has large rooms that don't feel cramped- this was very important to us. Three large bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two living rooms, reading area, and dining room. It has a full basement that we will be updating over time- so stay tuned! One of the bedrooms is detached over the garage with its own full bathroom. We love this space as it feels like its own private apartment. It also has a new TV, Blu-ray, and fridge. The Master King bedroom has a huge walk-in closet and a new desk with curved screen so you can work or surf the Net. We added a wireless printer in the closet if it is needed. The Twin room has two single beds, two closets, desk and rattan couch. Great space for kids!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I think the most unique benefits of this house are its feel / relaxed vibe, comfort level, and location! Chappy has the best of all worlds- proximity to the best beaches, sun-rises and sun-sets, world-class fishing- but also is relaxed while close enough to the bustle of the "mainland" via the Chappy Ferry. Locals like to boast about how many days they have remained on Chappy without going "over". The longest I've heard is three weeks- although this does not include walking over on the Ferry. :)
