Great place to stay

This place was perfect. The location was great. Everything you needed was right there- appliances, washer, dryer, cable TV in all the bedrooms. The host was in contact with us right away as questions came up. I would definitely stay here again.

Katama house Martha’s Vineyard

Our stay was wonderful. There were 6 of us, plenty of room in the home. The house had everything we needed. It was a very quiet neighborhood and only 5 minutes by car to South Beach. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing - Awesome house and location!!

Working with Darlene to book the house was very easy and the house itself was spectacular!!! I would highly highly recommend staying here! Not only was the house great but the location was PERFECT! I love how the house was super close to South Beach but also close to downtown Edgartown - Katama is really the perfect location :-D It is a little slice of heaven and I would gladly stay there again!!

Awesome Time In Katama

Great home...great location and great vacation. We really enjoyed our stay at Darlene's home which was exactly as represented in the listing. Having access to bikes/chairs/coolers was greatly appreciated. Watching the Perseid Meteor showers on the multiple decks was amazing. Looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful home

Our family stayed here in July 2019. This house is amazing! It has open spaces for family time and great beds rooms for everyone! The kitchen is so pretty and has everything! I loved the porches also! We sat out at night often! I hope to stay again next summer !

Comfortable Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at 7 Plains Lane on Martha’s Vineyard! This spacious home has lovely indoor and outdoor “visiting” spaces, a well equipped kitchen, lots of bathrooms and is in a quiet neighborhood! A nearby air strip gives bi-plane rides...that does create some noise, but you get used to it! We could walk to a pretty beach and get into Edgartown in minutes! The owner, Darlene, is very nice and helpful! Enjoy your stay...we did!

Great location, responsive owner

We love this neighborhood and this house is great, especially for a group with teens. The owner was super communicative about a potential issue with WiFi in advance and arranged for tech to be there the minute we arrived. Ultimately it was working fine, but appreciated her responsiveness immensely.

Bright and spacious home

This is the fourth different home that we have rented on the Vineyard over the past 15 or so years. All have been great, but this one is our favorite. The location of this property is what we loved most. The area is quiet and scenic. We walked and biked on the bike path every day of our stay and spent many days at South Beach, which is one of the best beaches on the island, and less than a mile away. Darlene was quick to respond with any questions that we had and her home was very clean and comfortable. Looking forward to staying again next year!

Good location house is worn out

We have been coming to the vineyard for 10 years now, so we know the location well. The location is great. But… the house is very tired looking and out dated. What bothered us most was that the listing did NOT say no door on master bedroom. It’s open to the kitchen and living room. Which gave us no privacy. There are many things that need to be fixed and updated. Hopefully with some improvements the house will be more enjoyable.

Amazing location

For us the location of the house was spectacular and one of the best features. Being close to South beach, the bike path and Edgartown was fabulous. The four bedrooms each with their own bath was very nice. The open floor plan of the kitchen, living room and to outdoor porch space was fabulous too, with great outdoor furniture and an outdoor dinning table that we used most nights. This was the best equipped house we have ever rented!! The kitchen had most everything we needed, plenty of cookware, lobster pot, etc… having access to bikes, bike locks, towels, beach chairs and boogie boards and so much more came in very handy and was wonderful. The fact that we could bring our little puppy was huge in choosing this home too. The down side is house is it’s in need of updating. Outdoor pealing paint, rusting and popping nails on the porch and the feeling of a lot of plastic. My daughter had issues with the mold in the home which could clearly be seen on the silk flowers. The Master bathroom is quite run down. The Master bedroom has an open stairwell to the kitchen/living room so no getting away from downstair activities which was to much of an issue for us since everyone was exhausted by the end of the day. Lovely porches off of the master bedroom but they did not have any furniture on them. I loved the lounge chair in the master bedroom. Communication with the owner was excellent except for accessing the home the first night due to VRBO sending one set of instructions and the owner sending different instructions in an email that I had missed. That said, we had a fabulous week! A few nights we all walked down to south beach to watch the stars on the beach (spectacular walk in the dark to the beach and the view of the stars there is incredible), walked to the airport for breakfast, we all biked from the house to Chappy for the day, biked to Edgartown, spent a day at our favorite beach - Long Point, went to Aquinnah beach and one morning got up before sunrise to see the sunrise at the Edgartown light house - unforgettable.

40 year wedding anniversary with Family!

Darlene was an absolutely wonderful host! Responded immediately and was very helpful ! Even was so kind to let me change my rental days ! Left us a bottle of rose to kick off our celebration! We loved the house! Very spacious ! The location was wonderful! So close to beach, town ,bike path! My entire family had a great stay! Would come again!

Amazing vacation rental!

This rental house was fantastic. House was beautiful and clean when we arrived. Location was perfect. Less than five minutes to the beach and ten minutes to downtown Edgartown. Darlene was easy to reach and very responsive. Definitely plan on staying again!

Family getaway

The house and the location were great. Plenty of space for us to spread out even on a rainy day. Loved that Darlene has several bikes that we could use. We completely enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot!

We stayed here with 4 adults and a handful of young kids. The house is has a nice open feel and has plenty of room indoors and outdoors. The neighborhood is also friendly and quite. We’d definitely stay here again.!
