"Sweet Cabana at Kure Beach"

This CLEAN and comfortable duplex unit has 2 bedrooms & 1 bath with ample separate free parking for 2 vehicles. Enjoy an outdoor shower with hot water, perfect for after a beach day. The beach access is about 1 block away. There is a fenced backyard with a picnic table and umbrella for your use. Your dog is welcome, please note that we ask that you crate your pet when you aren't home.

Simple and charming, Welcome to your perfect beach getaway! This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom home is just one block from beach access and a short 5-block stroll to the Kure Beach Pier, restaurants, and shops. With two comfortable queen beds, there’s plenty of space for family and friends to relax.

Enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer and dryer and take advantage of the large backyard—perfect for lounging. We also provide beach essentials like a beach cart, chairs, an umbrella, and toys, though availability varies.

With free parking for at least two vehicles, your dogs are always welcome!

OTHER DETAILS ABOUT THE LAYOUT:
This home was built in the '60s and had several additions added on. The layout is a little unconventional. There are 2 bedrooms: each with a queen bed and individual entrance to the bathroom. There is an additional room we call the study for extra hangout space. Please note that the bathroom is located in between the bedrooms and requires access through a bedroom from the main living area. All of the bedrooms have complete privacy with doors.

The shower is rather small & that is why we made an outdoor shower with hot and cold water for your convenience as well.

I was a pleasant, quiet Neighborhood, and short 4-5 min walk to the beach. We love this split home it was nice and neat and cozy. It had everything anyone would need and then some. I took some points off because there was no central air and they had a House rules sheet on the Refrigerator than said to not have to A/C units set below 72 degrees to prevent from freezing over and to keep all doors open as much as possible to allow ventilation to happen to circulate the air better to keep it cool. I got warm around 12-1pm, one room and bathroom had no A/c nothing but fans! wish it was mentioned in the details before I booked it. There was only one bathroom and the last bedroom you had to walk through another person's room to get to the bathroom. The stand in shower was so tiny you could not bend down, but the bathroom itself was spacious just not the shower. In the description in said they had fenced in area in the back for pets, but the gate door was broken and laying up against the wall, so my dog could not run around by himself. Again, I booked this place thinking of what was descripted and something were missing or not working. The outdoor shower the light was not working and had to shower off using a flashlight. The grass was overgrown a little and our poodle would get wet and dirty from the overgrown grass. Over it was okay! Host was very Responsive and quick with us, and it was nice first time at Kure beach, NC.

Our family had a great time staying at the Sweet Cabana. Very family friendly and quiet area that was a short walk to the beach. Also just a short drive from Carolina Beach.

Sweet Cabana

My wife and daughter spent the week at the sweet cabana. We had an amazing time! Just a short walk to Kure beach on North Carolinas amazing coastline. Property was perfect great location for beach, restaurants and local events. Thursday night live band and fireworks at Carolina beach was a great take. We would definitely recommend this location and go back again!

Great location

The location is amazing. Only a 5 minute walk to beach and that was with a toddler. The communication with the host was amazing. She even allowed us to check in a little early! Please be aware that to enter the bathroom, you must go through a bedroom. I did read about the bathroom entrance from another user so we were aware prior to our visit. The shower in the bathroom is the tiniest shower I have ever used. The outside shower is great when coming in from the beach and much roomier. The charcoal grill was useful for making hamburger & hotdogs after a day at the beach however I needed to clean it because it was full of used charcoal and greasy. In the host defense, it may have been used by the other couple staying on the other side of the duplex. The beach toys and chairs that were available were rusty and dirty. We ended up buying our own toys and just used our towels to sit on the sand. For the price, location and great communication from the host, it is overall well worth it.

Great host, perfect location for a small group

Host was super accommodating and responded very fast to our last minute inquiries. The place is basically 2 blocks from the beach- an easy, nice flat walk. The outdoor shower was a great place to shower after the beach. Host even has pet shampoo in there if you need to wash off your pup! Kitchen had salt, pepper, veggie oil, and all the utensils, pots, pans, plates if you're cooking. Oven and stove top are small so dont plan to do a roast, and there is no dishwasher, so plan to wash dishes by hand. Neighbors were nice, location feels very safe. Some things to note: Didnt bother us, but the shower inside the house is very small (i am 5'2" and had to take care so that my elbows didnt smack the walls). Also note that the layout of the bedrooms is such that one has to walk through one of the other 2 bedrooms to get to the back bedroom, and accessing the bathroom requires you to always walk through one of the other bedrooms. We had a wonderful stay.

sweet place to stay

The "Sweet Cabana" was such a great place for me, my friend, and our daughters. It was super close to the beach. The girls played in the Kure BEach Sand Soccer Tournament and this location was super convenient for that as well. The beds were comfy. We would love to go back!

Birthday weekend

Overall very nice property! The bathroom is located between all three rooms so you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to it. Would be fine for a family but was slightly awkward to use with a group of friends. Location was perfect and very close to the beach! Would definitely recommend staying here and host was very helpful and accommodating.

Long weekend

We had a great time at Sweet Cabana! We brought our daughter and her friend for a short getaway before school starts and this was the perfect location. The cabana was clean and had everything we needed down to beach supplies. The neighbors were friendly and offered suggestions on things to do. Overall, it was a great stay!

Best beach stay ever

From the ease of the check in process to the friendliness of the hosts. The hosts were more than welcoming and even gave little tips to help make the vacation even better! The house was clean and well stocked to help with not having to remember everything to take with you! The beds were comfy and clean! The outdoor shower is a must to try when staying! We will definitely be back

The duplex is in a nice neighborhood

The duplex is in a nice neighborhood and close to the beach, a very short walk. The community has many options for both food and entertainment. It has only a small area to gather when not in one of the bedrooms and no dining table to share a meal. The dishes were not clean (dusty). The bedroom with the sliding door got very hot at night making it difficult to sleep. It would have been nice given the price if they had quality toilet paper. However even with these issues it was a satisfactory experience.

Sweet Place

Great place to stay. Plenty of space and clean. Quick walk to the beach and easy drive to Carolina Beach and Wilmington. I would recommend you try Sweet Cabana.

Love it here

We had such a nice time staying here for the 4th of July. The house is cozy and comfortable and is closer to the beach than we expected. Great communication from the host. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Cabana! The neighborhood was quiet and very friendly. Everything was updated and very comfortable for our group of four, and the outdoor shower was a great addition. We walked to the beach every night and enjoyed the local restaurants and stores very much. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family visiting the area!

Beach getaway

We loved our stay at the Cabana!

This property was exactly what my family of four (two adults, one kid, and our doggo) needed for a quick beach getaway. The location couldn't be more perfect -- it takes maybe five minutes to walk to the beach! And with its proximity to Fort Fisher, we visited the NC Aquarium and were able to take our dog to the beach. Kure Beach is a lovely town and this property is a great way to enjoy it. The outdoor shower is A++++!

Birthday present for our Mom's Birthday

My parents loved their stay in the Sweet Cabana. The place was very clean and exactly what they needed for a little R & R. The host were very accommodating when there was a little issue with the toilet. They came over and fixed the problem and my folks were able to enjoy the rest of their stay. They said they would be back for sure. Thank you!

"Sweet Cabana"

Terra(host) was great...we had a little problem with power on arrival and the next day, so I contacted her & she immediately contacted their electrician who came by within 30 minutes, then Duke Energy was also contacted and she also came by herself to make sure the problem was fixed which was nothing to do with the place it was all Duke Energy and for our trouble she left a gift card for dinner in the mailbox the next morning. ..we had a wonderful time, location was great...we also LOVED the outside shower and the beds were super comfy...we will definitely stay again and you will not find a nicer host!!!
