This pet-friendly farmhouse is meant to be a haven to unwind, to relax, or to just find peace. Whatever your reason, know that you can find what you are looking for at The Old House. If you crave tranquil mornings on one of the many nearby beaches within miles of The Old House, or crisp, starry-filled nights unhindered by outside light, or just good, old-fashioned family time at local apple orchards, corn mazes, or snowmobile trails, we want to welcome you to YOUR home at The Old House! It is also just a few minutes away from superbly groomed snowmobile and cross-country skiing trails for our winter loving enthusiasts! Recently renovated and updated, The Old House charm will find its way into your heart with custom made kitchen cabinets, island, and counter tops, bedside lamps with charging ports/outlets and fan/sound machines, and two comfy, cozy living spaces to lounge that could easily accommodate air mattresses for more sleeping room. If you're not out enjoying the quaint local businesses, waterfalls, or walking trails, cuddle up in front of the one of two TVs to stream your favorite movies. A full kitchen with all essentials (plates, bowls, silverware, pans, etc.) is available to create masterpiece meals or just microwave a bag of popcorn. All beds are made with comfy, cozy sheets and have plenty of blankets for those cold winter nights. There is a toddler bed and pack and play available for the kiddos, although the house is not baby proofed. The full bathroom showcases a deep, jetted tub to soothe away all worries and aches and you can wrap yourself in the provided towels when you are done. A laundry room with reliable washer and dryer is available for your convenience. So, whenever you are away from the comfort of your house, let The Old House be there to welcome you home!

Because The Old House sits on a working farm, the barns and outbuildings have equipment, etc. in them. These buildings are not accessible to guests.

The basement in the house is not accessible to guests and has a lock on it for safety.

We stayed 2 nights while heading to the UP. Everything was very clean. The house was the best stocked place we’ve ever stayed check in and out were easy.our two dogs had a big yard to chase frisbee .The host was very nice. The WiFi wasn’t great but everything else was awesome. Highly recommend

This little place Great!

The rental was clean and supplied very nicely. We Han one very small problem, and the owner came over and fixed it right away. This was a a wonderful place to stay in a very nicely updated farmhouse.

Why were we impressed with this Property along with the super host!! She went above and beyond with the amenities of the property and inside the home was beautiful , absolutely spectacular. The home was super clean and organized and accompanied with such great touches and decopatients.I highly recommend this property to stay. Beautiful pictures.We took down to just the old house on the farm so.Relaxing . I will be back if I have another event in the area highly recommend Thank you so much!!

Perfectly decorated with multiple charming touches that truly personalized our visit. The outdoor space was perfect with lots of comfortable seating, a smokeless fire pit and plenty of dry firewood. Outdoor games for the kids were a nice touch. The kitchen had all of the dishes and appliances that we needed. The beds were comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean. The two sitting spaces were perfect for our multigenerational group. Great place to relax and chill while enjoying nature. We are playing on staying here again.

Peaceful Family Oasis

Our family really enjoyed our stay at The Old House! The space was clean, comfortable & accommodating. We loved the outdoor yard surrounding the house where the kids ran free & we especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit patio. Shannon, the host, went above & beyond to make the place homey & personalized for us as her guests. We had everything we needed & then some. I could not recommend this choice more.

Beautiful, comfortable and so welcoming

The property was perfect for our gathering- close enough to town for easy access but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The house itself was so charmingly decorated and all the personal touches that Shannon provided really made us feel welcomed and special. I highly recommend this property for a romantic getaway or a fun family vacation.

Amazing Farmhouse!

We loved our stay in this house. The decor was wonderful, very modern and updated. The hosts have provided everything you might possibly need. We will stay here again when we visit Roger’s City!

Stay for Rogers City softball tournament

Fantastic stay . The little touches when we checked in were so nice . This farm house makes you feel at home while away . We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Very clean, all amenities we needed and very quiet area . Thank you !

Best Place Ever

This was the perfect place for my husband, myself and our two dogs. Very quiet and peaceful. Shannon's extra touches were just topping on the cake. Should have extended our stay another week.

Colorado Family visit

We needed a place for family that came in from Colorado, 5 grandchildren, their spouses and 2 great grandchildren. Shannon is an amazing host, and the house was perfect. The kids loved the quiet location and enjoyed the house. Thank you Shannon!

Great stay, great value

We are a family of five two dogs. This house was an amazing stay. Spotless, well appointed and good for a long-term stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Beds comfortable, so we slept in every day. The area is rural, super quiet and relaxing. Very dark sky at night, so a great starry sky. The host, Shannon, was very understanding and flexible with our very late check-in. Good communication throughout. Helpful info on local events and places to go.In the end, nobody wanted to leave, not even the dogs. We are very likely to come back.

Hidden Farm Gem

The quintessential Farm home. This was a delightful home for the family as we explored the surrounding area. Off the beaten track with all the right amenities. Nothing fancy, but simple, welcoming with all the right amenities. Enjoyed a walk down the dirt road, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Quite a delightful experience.

Ocqueoc Waterfalls

The falls brought us to the area and we had a great weekend. We are officially ready for the fall season after walking the corn maze of Michigan, tasting samples at the nearby Apple orchard and seeing the beginning of leaf color change. Accomadations were spot on with plenty of consideration for the guests . Thank you for sharing

Spectacular Stay

This property was absolutely spectacular! Allowed for a hard reset. The old house felt like our own, the property allowed for walks, lounging, and beautiful view in all directions. Stars felt so close you could touch them. Absolutely loved all of the art decor and signs, found myself laughing out loud at them. I don't think anything could have been better. Will definitely be back!

A hidden gem on the outskirts of Roger City

We were so pleasantly pleased with everything that was thought out in this house. Well kept lawns , surrounded by just beauty of nature, a fully equipped house cozy comfortable and inviting. a beautiful sit out area with fireplace. Host was so humble and welcoming we felt right at home, she even replaced the Grill to a brand new grill , If you stay anywhere else other than this house you are missing out on one of the most beautiful rentals we have ever been in.

Awesome get away spot

My wife and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary along with our dog. This was the perfect location. You have all the privacy you want with great views of the farm and cows that graze in the pastures around the property. It’s about an hour from Mackinaw City. The house was spotless and had everything you could need. Shannon was a great host and very responsive during the whole process. Would recommend for anything looking for a nice getaway trip.
