Family friendly and you're close to everything when you stay. 1/2 mile from boat launch and lake access and 15 min to Mt Snow base lodge. A short walk to town. Located on hiking trails. Plenty of parking for a boat or snowmobile trailer and 2 vehicles. Open deck and yard area for relaxing. A stone pit in back yard and gas fire pit on the deck.

We had a wonderful time and everything was perfect! The location is just outside of town. Far enough that we COULD walk, but it would be far in the winter. We drove and parked next to South Main, where we enjoyed a few dinners with our family.It’s a few minutes down the road from Shaw’s and we got a lot of groceries there to cook and snack on throughout our stay. The beds were so comfortable that we slept better than we do at home. Upstairs are the 2 big beds with the bunk bed on the first floor. Outside there’s a walking trail that leads to a lake. We didn’t try the fire pit or the grill due to icy conditions.Despite being a frozen tundra outside, we were warm and cozy inside. We had plenty of coffee, hot cider, and hot chocolates for the Keurig. Everything was warm, cozy, and comfortable for our entire family. Thank you to the owners for a perfect place to stay!

Wilmington and this chalet were both wonderful getaways for my husband and I. The chalet was well equipped, comfortable and cozy and had the bonus of a fantastic location. We hiked Haystack and Hogsback, swam and paddle boarded in Harriman Reservoir, and explored the lovely town (Bartleby's bookstore, breweries, Dot's and Village Roost were our favorites). All was within minutes or a short drive from this chalet. Loved the availability of washer and dryer, comfortable and cozy couches, front porch seating with grill, hammock, well equipped kitchen. Oh and it was on the walking trail (Hoot, Toot) which led to one of Harriman's beaches and to town the other direction (when open, it was temporarily closed to make it more accessible). All in all a really nice and relaxing stay in a cozy place with lots to do (or not!). Thanks!

Long weekend ski trip

The property was perfectly comfortable for my family with plenty of space for a family of 5. Close enough to restaurants and downtown Wilmington, but in a very quiet area. We hope to visit again! Thank you!

Thanksgiving extended holiday weekend with family

We absolutely loved the chalet. It was open and cozy and although we had a big group we didn’t feel crowded at all. We had a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner at the dining room table. The house was equipped with everything you can think of. Kids had a great time with all the games. We explored around Bennington, did some shopping and we watched movies on the TV. With all of the snow we had all weekend the kids got to do some sledding in the yard and driveway. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and were so friendly! We can’t wait to go back!

Great location and house

Very clean and well maintained. Generally quiet other than some steady lake traffic. Dog friendly and close to short hike to lake for swimming. Close enough to town for food and drink, a short walk if desired. Would recommend and plan to book again.

Catching the end of summer

Spent some time exploring nature. The house is well-equipped and maintained. The location is very good. No dishwasher is a minus.

Relaxing Getaway

This was the perfect spot for our family. Close to town and the lake so activities were easily accessible it also the perfect spot for quiet relaxation. The house was clean and cozy. It was a warm summer week so the a/c was a bonus and cooled the house perfectly.

Great location

We had a great time at Joanne and Jeremy’s. We had our kids and dogs and it was so great to walk out the door right onto a nice walking trail. The house had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this house and will probably stay again sometime.

Cute cottage in the woods

Cute cottage. Perfect size for 6 people and our pups. Loved the property. It was nice, private and relaxing with a hiking trail right behind it. Great location to town and many things to do. Clean and well stocked.

Weekend stay at the chalet

I enjoyed my stay at the chalet! The house is super clean and thoughtfully appointed. I stayed in summer and each bedroom had its own window unit AC. Not always necessary, but nice to have for those sweltering summer days. The kitchen has all the necessities; living room is great for a group or family. There’s plenty of comfy seating. The property is great and sits on a nice hiking trail that runs to downtown on one side and to a river at the other end. Definitely recommend if weather allows. There’sa lovely patio in front with a grill. Communication with the owner is great. Very responsive. I’d definitely come back!
