50th birthday Girls Trip

Very convenient location, beautiful piece of property with an amazing screened in porch. Bathrooms & refrigerator were a bit dirty, and strange to have to make our own beds. Overall, had a fantastic weekend!!

Wonderful home. Close to the beach and downtown.

Everything was wonderful with this home. Close to everything Saugatuck/ Douglas has to offer, including the Lake/ Beach. Home was in great condition and we loved everything about it, especially the 4 seasons room. Enjoyed coffee in the morning with the sunrise and some drinks at night with the wildlife, we saw lots of deer in the backyard. My kids had a great time and there was plenty of room for our 70 lb Golden doodle. Host was very responsive to any messages. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful weekend away.

Lovely quick stay

Our family had a lovely trip to Saugatuck area and this house was perfect for the 5 of us. Beautiful home, great location - close to everything. The back porch and views were so peaceful and the perfect place to unwind. House had plenty of room to spread out and felt cozy and special. Would stay here again.

Great Home, Great Weekend!

Went with a group of friends for a girls’ weekend, and we tend to be pretty picky about the places we stay. Everything about this property added to the enjoyment of the weekend! Location, accommodations and communication with the owner made this trip relaxing and memorable!

Great stay!

This property was exactly what we needed for our visit. It fit our group of 6 perfectly. It was a good location to the downtown and the beaches. It had everything we needed, and you could tell the owner takes very good care of it.

Lovely place! Perfect location!

We loved this property for our girls trip! It was absolutely lovely with the screened in porch, hot tub, & the location! Very near the things we wanted to do—sailing in South Haven, dune riding in Saugatuck, awesome restaurants, shopping, etc. Very clean and charming place with most everything you needed. Loved the beach chairs available in the garage which we put to use! Our host was accommodating and willing to help with a small issue we had with no kitchen towels available. We worked around that and would say our only negatives were the upstairs was very warm (AC didn’t seem to work up there—fans worked OK but still pretty stuffy) and we wished we’d had more bath towels or at least easy access to a washer/dryer. Also, a small issue since we didn’t watch much, but the TV has antenna only so hardly watchable—remember to bring cords/adapters for streaming your own streaming service (property description needs to be changed as it said “cable/satellite TV”). Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives so we would still give this a 5-star rating! Would definitely recommend to others & would stay here again!

Clean and great location!

The house was beautiful. The screened in porch was the best feature, we spent a lot of time out there. It was close to Saugatuck, Douglas and Holland. Parking was easy, the hot tub was great and the kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely stay again. Two minor complaints, is the the upstairs got very warm, even with the ceiling fans going. There was 1 extra fan, but both rooms could use one. Also a few extras towels would be nice. There were two per bedroom, but if the were used and wet, there were no extras to be had. Nothing that would reduce the 5 stars! Thanks for sharing your house with us.

Wonderful Home

We loved our stay at house in Douglas. Very clean and comfortable. House is in a quiet area with beautiful screened in porch and sprawling backyard. Would definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Nice home and beautiful property

The home itself was more than expected - large and well furnished, not only with nice furniture and design but there were sufficient supplies just like your own home. The backyard is large with natural views and deer - sweet smell of honeysuckle growing wild in the area. You can be in Saugatuck in less than 5 minutes. It is true local TV reception is spotty but by lightly touching the connection on the back and moving the antenna we got Cozi to stay on most of the time. We did not use the firepit in the backyard as the walk between the pit and home is long and up a slope. We did use the small fire hearth on the back patio, with no issues. If you bring wood to burn bring lighter fluid or you can buy it at the local store. The only thing that could have been better is there is only one AC system for both floors, so it is nearly impossible to cool down the upper bedrooms, and trying makes it too cold on the first floor - it got cooler at night so we opened up the bedroom windows to sleep and that helped. I would go back to this property/

Fantastic, serene and beautiful oasis!

The backyard and screened in porch were definitely our favorite places of this very beautiful house, but it was all great! The hot tub was very relaxing and the house had plenty of space for all 5 of us to either hang out together or apart as well. It was my husband and 3 teenagers (13,16,17) and our goldendoodle. Our goldendoodle wanted to spend all her time playing in the backyard. It is not fenced in, but has a natural fence of trees and tall grass that kept her in the yard great! We would definitely recommend this home to others and we would gladly stay here again!

Lovely Location and Peaceful

We stayed end of March - early April for a couple days of peace and quiet. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and it was a bit rainy and cold so we could not use the beautiful screened in porch but we enjoyed the rest of the property. The kitchen was stocked, the house was clean and well maintained. The area was quiet and you could walk to downtown Douglas, shops, restaurants, etc. Also very close to the Lake. We took our dog on long morning walks and it was so pretty. Very short drive to Saugatuck and fun to be in that area in non-summer months so you could find parking, restaurants with availability and overall less crowded. The host was available via text message and was responsive for check in/check out and questions. Thanks Doug, we enjoyed visiting!!

Wonderful weekend

I rented this property for a getaway weekend for myself, a friend and two dogs. The property was very nice and had a very large backyard with enough privacy for the hot tub. The inside of the house seemed even better than the posted pictures. The checkin process was easy and the property is very close to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. I would recommend this property and would stay here again!

Best home we’ve stayed in!

I have rented many vacation homes over the years, and this one by far was the best! So well-maintained and well-appointed! We’re so used to having to bring absolutely everything we’ll need, so it was refreshing that little things like extra garbage bags and spices were available. Everything was so clean, too! This home is in a great location- close to shopping and the beach! We spent most of our time on the amazing screened-in porch! We definitely hope to return soon!

Great House and Yard

We spent a wonderful week at this house with our children and grandchildren. As others have said, the house and yard were great. It has a huge screened porch next to the deck on the north side of the house so it wasn’t too hot at dinnertime. We saw 12 deer and 6 wild turkeys in the yard and hummingbirds on the deck. The kitchen is well equipped. We had a couple of questions during the week and the owner was very responsive. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s a ½ mile to Lake Shore Drive on a ridge along the lake for morning walks/runs. We plan to come back again next year. But next time we’ll remember to bring cables and devices to connect to the big screen TV.

Quite nice

We enjoyed this home. 5 adults and an infant from our family wanted a place to stay while in the area for a wedding. Clean, pretty, and quiet. When we arrived, there were still people cleaning and mowing but they left shortly.

Awesome place!!

This place was amazing! The whole house was nice with a great kitchen, but we really spent most of our time on the fabulous screened in porch and the backyard when we weren’t at the beach. In the mornings, we sat on the porch drinking coffee and watching the deer in the backyard. Also an excellent fire pit to roast marshmallows!

Fabulous Family Fun

The home was roomy, clean, and well appointed for adults and kids. The screened porch was the center of life. Big, open, and well connected to yard. lots of outdoor activity. The house had lots of personality. Clearly an owner with creative ideas.

Girls weekend

This place is perfect and beautiful. We all loved it. Well stocked. 20 minute walk to beach access. If there were any negatives, I would have like more towels (only one per person for three nights and four days) and more pillow cases (one pillow per person, with extra accessible pillows, but no extra pillow cases). Issues with one of the upstairs fans. None of these warrant a lesser than 5 star rating.

Great House!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The only things I would note is that they bedrooms upstairs are a little warm and don’t seem to cool down, and it would be great if more than one set of towels per bathroom were provided. Other than that I would say this is easily a 5 star property with a wonderful location and the screens in porch is an amazing space to spend time! We will definitely look this property up again if we come back to Saugatuck!

Boat trip

This home was very comfortable for our early summer boating vacation. We enjoyed our time at the house. Absolutey loved the screened in porch. The location, being just outside of town, was nice, as we were away from the busy downtown streets. The walk or bike ride to Saugatuck is just over a mile, and the public beach is about the same. The sunsets were spectacular. The owner was very accessible. We had one small snafu upon arrival, which the owner immediately addressed to our satisfaction. Very pleased with our stay. We would stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone planning a vacation in this area.

Lovely attentive detail

The home is fantastic. Owners have done a marvelous job of renovating and decorating. The kitchen is fully stocked for any possible occasion. The screen room is lovely and furniture extremely comfortable. Our problem was with cleaners and management company. Propane tanks were empty which prevented us from fully enjoying the fantastic accommodations. The two master bathroom sinks were lined with hair. Very disturbing to couple occupying that suite. A real shame since the owners spared no expense on their home and left no detail ignored.
