Little Log Cabin in the Big Woods

This little log cabin is a dream escape for couples looking to unwind and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Situated on your own private 10 acres, this property is surrounded by 75ft Red Pines! The cabin was completely updated in 2022 and features original white cedar logs with knotty pine walls and is tastefully decorated throughout.

The great room concept gives this cabin a much larger feel boasting over 460 Sq Ft on the main floor. Nicely furnished with a refrigerator, barnhouse sink, butcher block countertop, microwave and keurig coffe maker, this cozy cabin has all the essentials for your escape. The bedroom consists of a queen bed with a washer and dryer also available for your convenience.

The bathroom is brand new in 2022 and contains a copper bowl sink and new shower/tub combination. We also all provide all towels, linens, paper products and Aveda shampoo, conditioner and body wash for complete indulgence. For cooler nights, there are electric heaters or enjoy the ambiance created by the pellet stove.

The Fred Meijer White Pine Paved Trail is just 1 mile from the property for biking or hiking. Enjoy a short hike to the stream in the back of the property or bring your toys to hit the nearby ORV/Snowmobile trails. This northern Michigan log cabin is a great resting place for your relaxing getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at the Little Log Cabin! The home was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and in a great location. Check-in was seamless, and the host was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The space had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable bedding. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

A Wonderful Anniversary Getaway

Such a beautiful and clean cabin tucked away in the most peaceful place. We stayed 3 nights and this cabin had everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and stocked with all the basics. It's obvious this property is well cared for. There was even cut firewood onsite for our campfire. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the host was quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet retreat in the woods

I found this listing in my search for a quiet getaway for the 4th--my dogs and I don't love the loud city fireworks. This place was perfect. The cabin is super clean, beautifully designed and maintained, with lots of thoughtful details for comfort. Plenty of basic supplies and thoughtful extras are provided. The surrounding woods are beautiful with marked trails; the dogs and I spent a lot of time on them. There was a bear making appearances on the trail cam during my stay, which added a little added excitement. Lots of birdsong to listen to while sitting on the porch in the mornings with coffee. Very peaceful and comfortable. Host was super great about communication, friendly and responsive.

Great stay at a great property

I absolutely loved our stay! I stayed with my husband and our dogs and it was great. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed, we felt at home. I thought it was a great size and really enjoyed the property. We loved relaxing and getting to enjoy the outdoors, it was so quiet and peaceful. Mike was very polite and responsive and was an excellent host. I would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Weekend in the Woods

This property is a hidden gem! Quiet and peaceful with plenty of walking trails in the woods. We had a great weekend with our dogs. Remote enough to see shooting stars, but close enough to town to grab groceries if needed (try the Mediterranean restaurant)! Thanks so much for sharing your special place.

We ate at Chase Creek Smokehouse for lunch one day and dinner the next. Its under 20 minutes away but worth the drive. Ebels General Store is a great grocery store thats nearby, check it out.

Perfect secluded retreat

The location is perfect to get away and unwind. You are far enough away from everything that you feel completely secluded in a restful relaxing way, yet close enough to “civilization” if you need to run to the store if needed. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and the cabin provided all the necessities and then some. Will definitely return.

Little cabin in the woods

The cabin is clean and compact and dropped into the middle of some beautiful woods. There's a little trail behind the cabin where we took our dog for a walk each morning and evening. It is close to some very nice cottage country destinations. It was a great stay!

Hello and welcome to our Little Cabin in the Big Woods. We bought this cabin in January 2022 and worked to finish the great work that the original owner started back in 2009. We have been married since 1991 and enjoy this cabin with our 4 grown children and their families. We love the convenience of the cabin being only 1 hour north of Grand Rapids.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We always wanted a small log cabin that was remote, but not completely off the grid! The luxury of having a hot shower and indoor toilet makes this property perfect for us. While it does not have Wi-Fi (we would have had to cut several trees to put in satellite Wi-Fi) we get great signal with our cell phones and use our data for any connection needs. In addition the TV antennae gets CBS, FOX and some other local channels if needed. This is a 10 acre beautiful property with lots of wildlife around. We have seen deer, rabbits, turkey and all sorts of birds on the property. Our neighbors have also seen bear, bobcats and coyote's but we haven't seen any yet.
