Welcome to Salem Lakes Chalet where you're invited to experience a unique and newly updated log cabin. Nestled in the beautiful town of Salem with a large fenced in yard overlooking a mature woods. Located near multiple lakes that are destinations for swimming, kayaking and fishing. It's perfect for a getaway with an up north feeling but with out the up north drive!


Located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood subdivision.

-Wilmot (12 minutes)
-Libertyville (30 minutes)
-Grayslake (30 minutes)


Wake up to a breathtaking view of the woods and walk out to the deck oasis where you can can enjoy breakfast while the kiddos play outside. After a day of adventure, unwind by the fire while gazing up at the stars.

Bedroom 1: king bed- located in the loft with direct access to bathroom (must use stairs for access)
Bedroom 2: two twin beds plus one trundle - will sleep up to 3 (located on main floor)
Bedroom 3: queen bed (located on main floor)
Bonus optional sleeping space: two pull out sofas (located in basement)

3 Full Bathrooms:
- 1 Walk in shower
-2 with tubs and showers
-All newly updated, many brand new features

Living room: One sofa sectional. The living area is a cozy area. Perfect for cuddles!

Basement: Two pull out sofas, large table to enjoy playing provided board games.

Salem Lakes Stay

Great cozy cabin away from the busy-ness of Lake Geneva and Milwaukee. Our family of six slept very comfortably and appreciated 3 showers/bathrooms. Loved listening to the birds from the deck every morning and card games/board games many nights.

Quiet and comfortable

We would definitely like to stay here again. Upstairs bedroom is particularly spacious and comfortable. Lots of room around inside and outside tables for a family meal. Location is convenient to lots of nearby lakes.

Great Stay!

I would highly recommend this place to people. Right smack dab between Lake Geneva and Kenosha so although you may have to drive 15-20 min, there’s a ton to do in either direction. The hosts were always there to answer questions and the house was gorgeous. We had 6 adults which seemed to be the perfect size for us! Overall a GREAT experience!

Working weekend

Our stay in Lake Salem

Our VRBO had all the conveniences and comforts of home just as advertised. Lots of positives. Great communications between us and the host/owners. We left some electronics behind, and the owners were right there to get them returned promptly. The only drawback was the home was in a fairly compact neighborhood with homes aligned very close; and we were confronted with barking dogs next store when we were out on the back porch.

Relaxing weekend retreat

I highly recommend to book with Rebecca and Cris very attentive host! We booked for my wife’s birthday weekend and our host went out of their way to make sure my wife felt special on her big day. It truly felt like home away from home. Thank you guys for a great time!

We had a really great experience in this property! There were four guys attending a conference in Kenosha. The accommodations were comfortable and provided an excellent place to hang out at the end of each day.

Absolutely Amazing!

This place definitely exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed my stay. Everything was super clean and although I brought my own personals, everything that I needed was already provided. The property manager also accommodated us with a later check out time. This experience was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great Couples Weekend

This was a great getaway for my boyfriends birthday. There was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable, but it was also cozy and warm. There were so many unexpected amenities such as smart tvs in each room, phone chargers throughout the property, a nice coffee bar, a speaker. The cabin was modern and aesthetically pleasing. The game room basement was great for game night. We absolutely loved staying here and look forward to booking again in the summer to really enjoy the area!

Quaint and Outstanding Cabin

The Cabin was even more beautiful as the photos. The welcoming packet that I received was very impressive, thoughtful and detailed. The accommodations were superb and very well thought through. A great home to rent out to relax, rest, and connect with friends and family. I felt very safe and relaxed my entire stay. The deck in the backyard was great for a morning coffee with a beautiful view of trees. The patio table on the back porch was perfect for morning breakfast as well. The basement was a great place to unwind, relax, watch TV, or/and catch up. I defiantly recommend and is worth every penny.
