Welcome to the Little River House -- your slice of riverfront paradise. Located right off Highway 2 just 30 minutes from Stevens Pass Ski Resort, this home in Gold Bar, WA (aka "Gateway to the Cascades") is just minutes from hiking, kayaking, fishing, and so much more. Gaze at the stars from the hot tub or relax in the riverside hammock. Enjoy the brand new deck, fire pit, and outdoor games. We can't wait to share this lovely riverfront mountain retreat with you!

The space
Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home can host up to 9 people and is perfect for families or a group of friends. Enjoy the amazing sounds of the rushing Skykomish River and breath taking views of the Cascade Mountains right from the backyard.

Our backyard is equipped with everything you need to maximize the fun — including yard games, corn hole, a horse shoe pit, and ring toss. The backyard also includes a large fire pit (BYO firewood), which is perfect for roasting marshmallows with friends and family. After a long day of skiing or hiking, relax and unwind in our hot tub. In the morning, enjoy a hot coffee from our riverside lounge chairs and wave to the kayakers floating by!

We provide a fully stocked kitchen with everything from pots/pans to spices in order to give you all the comforts of home! You can even make yourself a backyard picnic with our state-of-the-art grill located on our BRAND NEW massive deck. Both the indoor and outdoor dining tables are perfect for the entire group, seating up to 8 people each.

Our master bedroom features 1 queen size bed with a cozy comforter and plenty of throw blankets to make sure you stay warm during ski season! It also features a reading nook with a comfy chair that looks out over the river. Unwind at night with a smart TV equipped with all of your favorite streaming apps.

The second bedroom also features 1 queen bed and a smart TV.

Our 3rd bedroom includes a bunk bed with 1 double bed on the bottom and 1 twin bed on the top.

Our home is equipped with high speed wifi, which is perfect for those working from home or streaming from several devices at once.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and backyard. Your private paradise awaits!
At this time, although the views are spectacular, there is no path currently down to the river from our backyard. There is access to the river within walking distance (0.2 miles) at Big Eddy Public Water Access.

Celebrated our Honeymoon at this BEAUTIFUL SPOT. The house is perfect. Goldbar is so cute too. The owner was very helpful. We will be back!

I chose this rental primarily for two reasons - the fabulous view and the large table for playing games. The house is very well equipped. Kitchen has a lot of supplies, some spices and coffee supplies, NICE plates and glasses, etc. They have towels handy by the patio door for hot tub users.Scott is, hands down, the most responsive VRBO host I've ever had. He was proactive, checking how we were doing on the first day. He responded quickly to texts.The main down side for us was the cramped bathrooms. But you don't spend much time there. All the other rooms felt quite spacious.

It was smaller than the pictures made it seemed and the master bathroom was super tiny but we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Love the house and backyard. Super clean and very cute.

Quiet and clean w every amenity we wanted and needed. Breathtaking view and minutes away from fantastic hikes and swimming holes. And Zeke’s famous milkshakes! We will be returning next summer!

Overall we had a wonderful stay at the “Little River” house! For our family, the best part of the property was the backyard. The view of and access to the river was so beautiful and peaceful. We couldn’t get enough of it! Backyard is fully equipped with a gorgeous new hot tub (even had speakers with blue tooth capability), nice new chairs, a fire pit and yard games. We had a blast playing corn hole with our adult kids and smores by the fire each night. Only thing missing was a cover for the gazebo. The house is also in close proximity to hiking trails and we had a great hike at Wallace Falls State Park one day just a 15 minute drive away. The house was very clean when we arrived. (Only exception was the grill which we had to clean in order to feel comfortable using). Little River house has a nice open layout and big dining table - great for board games and family meals. Kitchen could use some updating with certain items for cooking as well as enough dishes but nothing that we couldn’t figure out by being creative. Our host was very responsive to our questions and a good communicator. Check-in was simple and efficient. We would rent from this host again!

Such a sweet spot on the river

My friend and I had such a lovely and restful stay at your beautiful home. Thank you so much for sharing it. The house was not only incredibly cozy and thoughtfully decorated, but it also felt so well cared for, which made settling in feel effortless... and the hot tub was sooo nice! Everything was clean and tidy, and it’s clear how much love and attention you’ve put into creating a welcoming space.There were just a couple of stray hairs on the bed in the river-facing room, but I easily found fresh linens in the drawer, which made it a quick and simple fix. Truly not a big deal at all. I appreciated having everything I needed on hand!Overall, it was such a peaceful and comfortable experience. Thank you again!

Loved waking up to mountain and river view, loved that the backyard was set up to relax and enjoy for everyone. The adults were able to relax in the hot tub and could keep an eye on the kids making s'mores at the fire pit. The host was amazing at communicating before, during, and even sent a nice "thank you" after. Would definitely stay again, next time we're in the area

Relaxing environment and breathtaking views

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. The interior is cutely decorated and clean. The backyard is spacious and has an absolutely incredible view of the nearby river and mountains. You can catch the view from the living room, from one of the seats in the backyard, or from the hot tub. My friends and I had a lovely and relaxing weekend. We would recommend the property to anyone.

Wonderful rental property

The property was lovely. We enjoyed the view of the river from the backyard. Easy access to Monroe for groceries and making a trip to Leavenworth. The only downside I will point out is that we stayed Sunday through Friday and every weekday at 6 am, a neighbor across the street let their dogs out and seemed to leave for work until around 4:30, and their dogs stayed outside barking most of the day. It unfortunately detracts from the relaxing environment. I know that there isn’t much to be done as it is not the property owners fault, but I am just pointing it out for those who plan to visit and are looking for quiet time.

Riverside Retreat!

Great location right on the river. I stayed here while working out of town for the week. The accomodations were great. The house was well-stocked. And the hot tub was the perfect way to relax after a long work day.

Wonderful

This was my second time staying here and it was a wonderful as i remembered. You really have the place well stocked. We enjoyed the yard with the sound of the river and the view. The house is so comfortable and we did not want for anything. I will recommend this place to friends for a relaxing stay.

comfortable and inviting

We were in Gold Bar for a family wedding held nearby and the Little River House was the perfect spot for us. We enjoyed all the amenities of the house and the beautiful view looking out over the river. Magical! Thanks Little River House and Scott!
