Cozy, comfortable, great environment for family and friends. The beds are comfortable including the bunk bed. This house was completely rehabbed, and everyone seems to like it. New kitchen & bathroom.

Very Clean, Very Responsive

Overall we had a great experience. The property was very clean and our kids really enjoyed the bunk beds. The only downside was that one of the swamp coolers was not working. We contacted the host about it afterwards and he was very responsive and said that they would get it fixed. We also had really little kids that we had to keep away from the stairs, but again though, we had a great experience and are really grateful for how clean it was.

Passing through

Myself, my mother and brother were passing through on our way to Virginia Beach. The hiding place was clean and just enough for us for our one night stay. Communication was good and price was fair.

Sent to the wrong place; came back to another family in the apartment

Address on listing and directions given by host did not match up and we were sent to the wrong place. We were getting in late (2 am) and things didn't seem right, but after a 7 hour drive and with a race the following morning, we were suspicious and confused but just happy the code worked and we had a place to sleep. Reception in town was spotty so I only had screenshots of the host's directions to go off of and didn't look further into the issue, though I planned to the following day. After our race, we returned to the apartment we had slept in the night before to find another family in it with a note on the door saying the owner had no idea who we were or how we got in, and that he had all our belongings. We called Jim and we discovered that he had given us information for the wrong listing. He was very nice and relatively prompt with bringing our things to us and offered to let us stay in the place we had actually reserved for the weekend. After all the confusion and uncertainty we did not feel comfortable staying and ended up driving a few hours and getting a hotel. I believe it was an honest mistake on his part, but one that could have gone seriously wrong. As two young women traveling by ourselves, it is scary to think that we could have been walking in on other guests or vice versa. Thankfully we did not run into anyone else in the apartment, but I imagine walking into an occupied apartment at 2 am would not have gone over well for either party.

We booked super last minute due to a death in the family. Place was perfect for us and met all of our needs. Fantastic host!

Lovely Space!

This was a beautiful and lovely space -- perfect for 3 friends on a Gauley Rafting trip! The house was cute and clean, and had everything you need for a weekend getaway. Following the parking directions was a little funky, but we got there! Would absolutely stay again :)
