Anniversary Getaway With Family

This was a trip to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Adult children and young grandson were part of the group. The three bedrooms and three baths provided ample room for everyone. We cooked breakfast in the condo each morning and made use of all of the various appliances. Enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach from the condo as well as the use of the outdoor grills that are located throughout the complex.

We had a very enjoyable time at the condo. Lots of space for the 8 of us. The hot tub and pool was great, the property grounds were nicely kept and location was very close the Poipu beach to see the turles, monk seals and snorkel. Would definitely stay there afain.

Right on the green belt close to Poipu beach. Very clean and spacious rooms. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Our family of 7 had a great stay! Management is very responsive.

Great place!

Great location, spacious. No complaints. Clean, short walk to beach and lovely grounds. The only thing I would suggest to owners is to maybe leave some things people bought and didn’t use all of such as ziploc bags, foil, spices, etc. It’s easy enough to leave there for the next person and would be super helpful.

Nice comfortable space for our family. Close to the beach. Quiet. Nice to have beach towels provided. Carpet was not in the best condition. Dishwasher needs some repair. The a/c stopped working 2 nights before our departure, a tech came out, but was not able to get it working before we left. Would stay here again.

Lots of space and convenient location

The property was close to several beaches and had 2 pools. The community grills are well kept and in great working order. The living room and kitchen spaces were very large for 7 people. The only tiny issue was with beach chairs. The rental group asks owners to have 2 beach chairs but one was on its way to be torn. We requested a new chair and it never was delivered, however, they delivered a warning note about leaving items outside even though they told us to. Some miscommunication on the rental group’s part not the owner. Overall we would rent this unit again.

Ideal location near Poipu beach

Lovely unit with plenty of room for 2 families to spread out. Walking distance from a couple of great beaches. The pools and grounds areas are lovely and well maintained. The view from the unit isn’t great but you don’t have to go far to see the ocean. I would suggest more seating in the dining and living room - sleeps 8 but not set up for 8 in these areas. We appreciated the boogie boards and lawn chairs available, would have also been great to have some selection of kitchen condiments -perhaps a few more spices etc. The management was very responsive to our questions and needs and a couple of urgent requests. we’d definitely stay again! Thank you!

Roomy condo walking distance to beach!

We had a group of 8 - two parents in their 50s and three adult kids in their 20s with their significant others. The condo was spacious and comfortable. The best feature was the proximity to the beach. We could walk to Shipwreck, Brenneke's or Poipu Beach easily. We had previously stayed at condos a bit further away and this was a huge upgrade for us not having to load things into the car and deal with parking. People could wander down to the beach when they pleased without getting a ride or waiting for everyone else to be ready.The fourth bedroom/loft was not fantastic for a grown adult couple, but we managed. It would be better for children who are going to wake up early anyway. The other three bedrooms have doors with privacy.The only negative we found with this condo was that the kitchen was not very well-stocked, either with cookware/utensils or staples such as ziplocs, olive oil, sugar for coffee, spices, etc. There was just salt and pepper. There were a few beach chairs and an umbrella, which were appreciated, but more would be even better.Overall I don't hesitate to recommend this condo - it's roomy, quiet, clean, and is in a fabulous location. The staff were responsive and welcoming. Mahalo!

Perfect for our family!

The property was perfect for us. Everything was well stocked with nice new things (kitchen, bathrooms, towels, beach toys), and the location was SO convenient. Even with 2 kids under 2, it was an easy walk with the stroller to either Poipu beach or Shipwreck beach, and we loved both. The only thing I would say is that the 4th bedroom being a loft was a little difficult because you can hear everything up there / see every light turned on downstairs, so as soon as our babies woke up (early!) downstairs, our sister in the loft had no hope of sleeping in. But that was no surprise - the listing clearly told us it was a loft. Lots of beach chairs, toys, and towels we made use of. The property was truly exactly what we were hoping for! And the management company was so friendly and easy to work with. Word to the wise - our checkin instructions were to pickup the keys at the office in town, and we didn’t pull that up until we had already driven all the way to the property, so had to back track a few miles. That’s totally on us for not planning ahead, but just wanted to include the heads up so others don’t do what we did. But yes, we loved everything about our stay - 5 stars!

Great stay though a few glitches

We had a great stay at this property overall. The condo was in a perfect location and it was a nice unit. We had an issue with the check-in process. At the last minute we were told we had to delay our check in until 4pm — one hour later than the 3pm check in— because there was a delay in cleaning the unit. I told them I had a toddler and we need access ASAP because we had been on a long trip and she needs to take a nap. 4pm comes by and unit is still not ready. We decide to go to the unit anyway. There was no one inside the unit cleaning so I was surprised about why we couldn’t enter. After 3 phone calls someone finally came to tell us there was a small issue with the sink stopper in one of the bathrooms. I don’t think that issue was such a big deal to delay our check in for over an hour. A few days later, there was an issue with the fire alarm in our bedroom chirping at 2am because the battery needed to be changed and it was way up high in the ceiling so was impossible to reach. They did fix it the next day but it was annoying to have to deal with no sleep and my daughter waking up because of the chirping. The note in the welcome book specifically said there was no reserved parking, but then we got a parking violation because we parked our second car in a reserved spot. Overall management was slow to respond but maybe they are short staffed because of Covid. I would still stay in this property because of the location and the unit was pleasant overall based on the price. We’re pretty low maintenance vacationers but this property is probably not for someone who would like more attention.

Mahalo Aiza for your comments and feedback. I empathize with traveling with a toddler on a long journey and apologize we could not have the condo ready for you at noon when you originally called. I do suggest next time you confirm an early check-in so we can plan ahead of time. I apologize on the crew not having the unit ready on time, we just wanted to confirm there was not an issue with the drain and that required a third party vendor. Given COVID, we are also limiting interactions between our crew, vendors and guests for everyone’s safety. I too apologize on the alarm. That is frustrating, but I see from the notes we got it fixed within hours of your reporting it. On the parking, there is reserved parking for your unit, #821 almost right in front of the unit. Second cars need to be parked in unmarked spots. I do not see any other requests and I see we responded to all your communication throughout your stay. Lots of space and perfect location

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It's in a perfect location and has plenty of space for 7 people. It's walking distance to Poipu Beach where you can see a lot of turtles resting on the shore at sunset.. It's close to shopping areas and a lot of eating places. The place is pretty clean except for the carpet. I think the carpet needs to be replaced and the furniture updated. The place is well supplied with everything you will need for your stay including beach gear and kitchen/dinning ware. The property management communicated well and the check-in process was easy and went smoothly. We'll definitely consider staying here again if we have a chance to come back to Kauai.

Great location!

This property was easy to book and loved that they provided towels for the pool/beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great until....mice

We rented this place for a week to attend a wedding in Poipu Kai knowing it was conveniently located and had great reviews - although one of the more expensive rentals in the area. The property manager communicated all the details and took care of all the covid protocols via text which was super convenient for me given we were travelling for the first time with two infants (6mo and 9mo). The overall check-in process went by easily. On the first night, we left some fruits we had just purchased after landing on the counter top and to our horror we woke up to a half eaten banana and were extremely sure the rental had a mouse, rat, or some sort of rodent problem. I wasn't as concerned about the adults as I was about the babies as we were relying on the counter tops to dry baby bottles and now we couldn't risk it. I contacted the property manager and let them know of the issue and they were quick at stopping by to drop off 2 mouse traps - both placed on either ends of the kitchen counter. This really meant that we couldn't use the kitchen counter for anything. Also, both these traps were setup inside shoe boxes which made it look like the management was aware of the rodent problem and have been trying to deal with it for a while. That said, we left the bananas on the counter top to avoid the rodent(s) venturing into other places and on our last day there...the bananas were continued to be eaten and the mouse traps were empty. As much as we liked the rental unit, the location, and the responsiveness of the management, I was disappointed that the management knew about the problem (the mouse trap boxes looked pretty used) and knowing that we had infants travelling with us, they had not taken care of it proactively. I really hope they're able to fix this problem permanently as this is the last thing anyone would want to deal with during their vacation. Note that this is the only reason I rated this rental to a 3 and would have given it a solid 5 for everything else.
