Beautiful Island Home on Drum Bay, close to beach and pier

Pier Paradise is a lovely two-story home near Drum Bay, located in Seahorse Estates along scenic Bluewater Highway. Wraparound decks provide fantastic Gulf of Mexico views from two front decks, and Drum Bay, the Intracoastal Waterway and wetlands on the back side with more upper and lower decks. The house is two story with four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The main floor has open concept kitchen, dining and living room with huge flatscreen TV. Easy access to a long crabbing and fishing pier via boardwalk near the back side of the property, and a kayak launch nearby. Open sandy beaches just a short walk across Bluewater Hwy. This area tends to be less crowded than the city and county beaches in Surfside, Treasure Island and Galveston.

Our family had a wonderful time at this property in August! This is our third time renting this beach house, and we will rent again next summer! The house is VERY well supplied and clean, and the views of both the bay and beach are amazing, with lots of deck chairs. The walkover to the beach is just across the street, which is very convenient. The host, Matt, is very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back next year!! Pam W.

Was perfect for us! House was wonderful lots of space easy to keep clean. Kitchen had everything you needed. 2 refrigerators were so nice. Short walk to beach. Beautiful sunsets on deck looking at bay. Fishing dock with fishing poles and buckets for use. Beach stuff and chairs and wagon. We didn’t leave the whole week except to get groceries. Will definitely book again.

Outstanding Family Fun!

We loved this house! The dock out to the bay and the walkover to the beach made this an ideal place for crabbing, swimming, and fishing! The views were amazing in every direction! We would definitely stay here again.

Feels like home!

The location was great and the inside felt very home like. We loved the access to the pier and beach making it easy to fish, crab, and play. We plan on coming back next year!

Location, Location!

We looked for a location that would be in the vicinity of the beach and crabbing/fishing and this diamond brought it all right in walking distance!We had a nice shrimp boil out on the deck, went to the beach multiple times and crabbed and fished in the evenings and night on the pier running out to Drum Bay with plenty of fish lights to draw them in. We were able to add a big pot of crab to our shrimpdinner. It was a real treat! Stores for ice and groceries in close proximity! We drove in to Galveston for souvenirs at Merdoch’s and ice cream at La King’s Confectionery on the strand. The Management and Matt were super to help with any questions. We made great family memories here! Unfortunately, we didn’t get good pics from the pier. Shucks!

Best beach house we’ve stayed at

The property was by itself which gave us very peaceful evenings, very close to the beach. Very well stocked house. Honestly the best beach house we have rented and we have rented 4 in the past. I would rent this again in the future

Great Location

Best of both worlds. Bay out back and beach in front. The bay pier was a perfect walk for my MIL's daily walk. Otherwise, you found her on the balcony enjoying the breeze and sounds of the surf. I loved the short walk to the beach to achieve my daily walks. House has some cosmetic issues but does not deter from the vacation. Had everything we needed for cooking.

A weekend to remember!

We booked our stay recently for easter with the intention of doing some fishing on the private pier, and spending some time on the beach. We loved everything about the house, especially the outdoor patio space with outdoor furniture. You get views from just about every direction of the house. There was never an issue with bathrooms! Typically, with any trip and a large group of guests you can tend to run into having to share a bathroom or two. The house featured 3 full bathrooms, and an outdoor shower. It makes things so much easier when you are not having to fight to take a shower lol. Matt, the host was extremely responsive and helped with making booking easy. It was definitely a weekend for building great memories.

Great privacy

House exceeded expectations. Plenty of room for 8 adults. Location is great with no close neighbors. Had concerns prior to staying of things being dated but the cleanliness of the place more then made up for it.

Perfect!

We had a good size group, and everyone had their space. The house was super cute with the decor and accents. The wraparound porch and balconies were very much used and provided great views to both the beach and the bay. And the location was great, a short walk to the beach and a short drive to town. I received super quick responses from the owner, and they were very kind and willing to work with whatever we needed. Will definitely stay again!

Annual Coast Trip

Our group of 12 all had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and very well stocked with supplies. The location was great, and the walkover to the beach was directly across the street and very walkable. The minor issues we encountered were quickly resolved by the host. The beach was clean and EMPTY, and we pretty much had it all to ourselves! We will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Excellent Place to Stay

This beach house is an excellent place to stay. The porches and balconies are delightful. The boardwalk to the pier was a great place for crabbing. We caught lots of crabs. Easy access to the beach over the dunes (a bit of a walk) or drive onto the beach. We brought a canopy and beach chairs for extra comfort. The kitchen is very well equipped with the comforts of home. There was a nice variety of games and puzzles. A very pleasant venue for our family get together! Recommendations: Bring lots mosquito spray, and a few extra dish towels. The bathroom towels were adequate, could use an upgrade.

Property was not at all what we expected

When we arrived at the rental, the lockbox was hanging wide open, not locked. Then trying to figure out which door we could unlock was not pleasant as each door would not open or was stuck, there are 3 doors to the property and not a single one worked/locked properly. We overlook and get unpacked....well the 1st night we get there the weather was unseasonably cold....the wind literally came thru each door, the furnace could not keep up and we froze the 1st night. The next day I contacted the proprty manager and was told a handyman would be over to look at the door situation as we could not lock our condo from the outside, I was then told the handyman fixed the door issue, which was untrue, nothing was done to keep us secured. Every dish we pulled out of the cupboard was either very dirty or broken, all dishes had to be cleaned prior to use. The wifi was "down" and we were told a handyman would be over to look at the issue as we could not watch tv without wifi and with it being so cold we needed some entertainment. The owner of the property ended up at the property for like 4 hours, come to find out the wifi account had been closed so wifi was not even available. We now had a strange man sitting in our living room for hours....nothing was resolved until the 4th day in, when I sent a mesage to the property manager I was ignored again... then the rain started and literally the water flowed right thru the door, we had bankets and towels down to soak up the water. Nice house and location

Everyone loved the house, and solitude. Great views too! There were a few things that need attention… doors and locks, 1 of the blue Adirondack chair armrest fell off when someone tried to use it. I would still rent it again!
