3 BR Beach Bungalow Minutes to the Beach! Dogs Allowed!

Want to be a 2 minute walk from the beach? Say no more! This cozy bungalow is just what the doctor ordered for you and your family, your significant other, or dare I say, your pups. Come one, come all. Walk the 1 block to the bay in the morning, build your castles, wade in the clear calm bay water, go home for lunch or a bathroom break, then come back for more fun. If you're done with the bay, walk to the local brewery & BBQ joint for some food & drink, or relax on the large back deck!

We love the natural light in this cozy bungalow. This is our first listing, but the bungalow is known to us and used as a family beach (bay house). Easy place to kick off your shoes, relax, and let the worries drift away. It is a 5 min drive to the local grocery, Starbucks, Bold Mariner Brewery (walking distance), and other local restaurants like the Ocean View Pier. You will have the entire house which is a 15 or 20 minute drive to Norfolk Naval Base, EVMS/Norfolk general, Historic Ghent with all its fine dining, downtown Norfolk, Town Point Park, Half Moone Cruise Center, USS Wisconsin, Norfolk Tides stadium, and so much more. 30 min drive to Virginia Beach oceanfront. Back porch is spacious and great for gathering after a long sunny day. Backyard with doggy door is great for the woofers. We have a metal crate and a wooden crate for your pets.

HOUSE RULES:


*House trained dogs over 1 year old that are pre approved are allowed! Please tell me about your dog before booking. The pet fee is $100 per 10 nights. No cats allowed. Dogs must be crated when left unattended. Dogs must be supervised when in the backyard and may not be left in the backyard unattended. A $75 pet waste fee will be applied if pets are not cleaned up after. Dogs must be pre approved or a fine of double the pet fee per night will be applied.


- No smoking allowed (weed or cigarettes) - evidence will incur a $500 minimum fine. Please smoke away from the home away from windows or doors and dispose of cigarette butts properly.

- Any visitors must also be listed in the guest count. Minimum fine of $50 per person per night will apply for any undisclosed guests. The city is strict about maximum occupancy including visitors and we cannot allow more than the max guest count at any one time.

- Please observe a 9 p.m.- 8 a.m. quiet hour for our neighbors. They are our utmost priority to continue to operate short term rentals for years to come. Noise violations are taken seriously and will have one courtesy warning before removal without repayment for nights unspent.

- Our place is not for parties. $500 minimum fine for parties. A party is defined by any more than 6 occupants in the home at any one time. No refund will be given for nights unspent if we are forced to terminate the reservation due to a party. We want you to have a great time with up to 6 guests in the house maximum, including any visitors. This is a residential area and our neighbors rely on us not to disrupt the community. We want to continue to do short term rentals for a long time so please help us respect our neighbors.

- Please note while the home is cleaned very thoroughly between stays and air filters changed regularly, we do allow dogs at the home. Those with severe allergies will need to consider our home’s suitability for their unique needs.

- No refunds will be given for COVID-19 or weather related cancellations. Please consider purchasing trip insurance that covers any unforeseen circumstances. Please note during hurricane season our area is prone to inclement weather.

- $75 per hour charge for not checking out on time. Please communicate if you need more time, if we can accommodate we will not charge a fee.

- If our property has a grill, please clean after use to avoid an extra $75 grill cleaning charge.

- Ice makers are an extra amenity and no refunds will be given if they are not functioning properly.

- If equipment is used that would make the utilities charge become excessive, that will be charged back to the renter.

- Any cleaning or maintenance issues must be addressed to the host. We must be able to attempt to fix the issue before offering refunds. If an issue is not addressed during the stay, no refunds will be provided.

- Stays over 60 days will require a clean every 30 days included in your booking fee.

- An application, screening, signed lease and deposit is required for 30+ day rentals-please inquire for more details. Bookings over 30 days are brokered by Sojourn Realty.

- Guest agrees to complete a third-party encrypted ID verification independent of the platform booked on for security purposes. If the guest does not complete the verification or if the host is not comfortable with the screening results, host may cancel the reservation with full refund to the guest.

- Please note that we do not do shoveling or snow removal. Use caution in case of these situations, as we are not to be held liable.
