West Side Family-Friendly Modern Haven - Sleeps 12

Our home is perfect for large groups looking for lots of space. The home includes 8 beds and can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. The home features 3 different living room areas and lots of style, technology, and comfort for your stay in Atlanta. We are located on a quiet, tree-filled street 10-15 minutes from downtown and 15-20 minutes from the airport. Main Floor: The front door opens into a roomy living area that has lots of seating and a 55 inch smart TV with Roku. The dining room and kitchen are also on this level of the home. The kitchen includes lots of cooking gear and a nice array of spices & oil. A coffee maker, filters, and coffee are provided. There are enough plates, glasses, bowls, and silverware to serve 12.

Upstairs: The master medroom is located in the upstairs bedroom and features a super comfortable King bed and private half bathroom. There are two other bedrooms with queen beds and a full bathroom on this level of the home. There is also full bathroom located in the upstairs hallway.

Basement: The basement features a bedroom with double bunk beds that is perfect for kids. This room also has a couch and smart TV. There is also another living room and bedroom in the basement that features a queen bed a two more smart TVs. There are two full bathrooms and a laundry room in the basement.

Bed Summary: Our home includes 1king bed, 3 queen beds, and two sets of bunks beds (4x single beds)

Outdoor Space: The patio on the back of the house has lots of seating. We suggest enjoying a meal or beverage outside since the weather in Atlanta is nice most of the year.

Parking: There is a driveway with 3 parking spots. Additional cars will have no trouble finding free street parking.

Guests will have access to the entire home including the laundry room, driveway and backyard

We live down the street and can be contacted through the VRBO app or our cell phone. Our property manager Michael has access to our VRBO messages and is available for anything you may need before or during your stay.

In the tumultuous last decade before the Supreme Court ended Jim Crow segregation, Collier Heights became a virtual Who’s Who of black Atlanta. Residents included the Reverend and Mrs. Martin Luther King Sr., bank president Lorimer D. Milton, civil rights attorney Donald B. Hollowell, Grady Hospital medical director Dr. Asa G. Yancey, and Georgia congressmen Leroy R. Johnson and Billy McKinney (not to mention his daughter Cynthia). The neighborhood is also known for its large houses and relatively large lots compared to surrounding neighborhoods. Since our home is located so close to I20 and 285, we are a short drive away from the downtown, midtown, Buckhead and the airport. Our home in West Atlanta near where I20 west meets 285. Because we are so close to I20 and 285, it’s a short drive to almost everything in Atlanta. The Atlanta university Center is located 7 miles away and downtown Atlanta is about 10 minutes away. We are about 15-20 minutes from the Airport. Uber and Lyfts are easy to call and relatively cheap. We also have plenty of driveway parking.

***Accurate guest count is required by VRBO, the City of Atlanta STR Ordinance, and our insurance. Please make sure when you book the house you enter the correct number of guests including all those that will be staying overnight or visiting. For example, if you plan on 6 people staying overnight and 2 people visiting during the day, the guest count is 8 people. If you have questions about this policy, please send us a message before you book.

***Please note a $500 pre-authorization hold (not a charge) will be placed on the credit card used to book your reservation 24 hours before check-in. This hold will be released after your stay, provided there are no damages or additional charges. Once the pre-authorization is successfully processed, we will send check-in instructions to the phone number associated with your VRBO account.

1. Please make sure the number of guests in your reservation is accurate. A guest is defined as any person who visits the property for at least 5 minutes. Additional visitors not included in the reservation must be approved in advance by host. Unapproved guests are subject to a $50 fee per person and/or immediate cancelation of remainder of reservation without refund.

2. Events, weddings, and parties are prohibited. If you are not sure your reservation qualifies as a party or event, please reach out to us and explain what you are trying to do and we can determine if its possible to host your event. Good communication is key.

3.SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. $500 smoking fee. Burning incense is also strictly prohibited.

4. No matter what the package says, flushable wipes or anything besides toilet paper and human waste should never be flushed down toilets.

5. Please remove makeup before getting in the beds.

6. $100 fee if confetti or glitter is used at the home.

7. Guest must provide a copy of their unaltered Driver's License or Passport to host after booking so we can confirm your identity.

8. $350 Bio-hazard clean up fee if our cleaning team has to clean up vomit, blood, or any other bodily fluid.

A hit with our group

This home was perfect for us! A room with bunk beds and couches was a hit with our youth, and provided the adults peace and quiet in the other areas. The neighborhood is quiet, but provided easy access to getting into sites in Atlanta. Check in was a snap, and the house was clean and well-supplied. We definitely will keep this listing in mind for future trips!

Hi, I’m Michael! I’m a proud University of Georgia grad (Go Dawgs!!!) and also studied Finance and Accounting at the University of Virginia. After school, I moved to Atlanta and worked in finance for several years before discovering my true passion: hosting.

I started back in 2015 by renting out a spare bedroom, which quickly grew into remodeling a basement and eventually helping friends and family design their own vacation homes. What began as a side project turned into Host This Home in 2018, where I now get to focus full-time on creating comfortable, memorable spaces for travelers.

I also serve as Treasurer for the Atlanta Metro Short-Term Rental Association, where I work with other hosts to keep Atlanta’s short-term rental community strong and welcoming.

When you stay with me, my goal is simple: to make you feel right at home while enjoying everything our city has to offer.

One of the things I most appreciate is that guests can come and go easily—whether heading into downtown or exploring local neighborhoods—and still return to a homey, peaceful retreat. It gives travelers both the convenience of staying close to action and the peace of staying somewhere intentionally calm and secure.
