BlackRock Luxury Lodge sits on a beautiful half-acre desert lot with 12 mature Joshua Trees, offering guests a rare and authentic high-desert experience just steps from Black Rock Canyon Campground and the High View Nature Trail. Enjoy the park’s wonders right from your backyard.

Accommodation:
This spacious lodge includes four well-appointed bedrooms: three king suites with sitting areas and mountain views, plus a cozy queen room near the kitchen and guest bathroom. Three modern bathrooms ensure comfort and privacy for families or groups.

Saltwater Heated Pool & Spa:
Unwind in the saltwater heated pool and spa, surrounded by desert landscaping and shaded seating areas. Relax in complete privacy under the shade of your own Joshua Trees.

Pool Maintenance:
Our pool specialist maintains the pool on Tuesdays and Fridays between 12 PM and 2 PM, taking about 20 minutes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Unique Features:
The lodge boasts a large skylight and interior atrium, combining natural light with a warm, rustic-modern design. A spacious dining and living area offers a large table, a home theater-style setup with a large TV, and a sectional couch — perfect for family gatherings.

Fully Equipped Kitchen:
The gourmet kitchen includes a large island, breakfast nook, coffee bar, and an attached library. Cook with quality Calphalon cookware, an Instant Pot, a Keurig, and a full spice cabinet.

Outdoor Retreat:
Relax on the covered patio with desert mountain views. The backyard is designed for stargazing and quiet evenings around the barbecue area or simply enjoying the desert breeze beneath your 12 Joshua Trees.

Stargazing:
With minimal light pollution, the night sky is a highlight at BlackRock Luxury Lodge. Enjoy spectacular stargazing without leaving the comfort of your backyard.

Explore Nature:
Step directly onto the High View Nature Trail or walk to Black Rock Campground for hiking and wildlife spotting. Experience the natural beauty of Joshua Tree National Park up close.

Safety and Accessibility:
The lodge has a two-step sunken living room and patio area; guests with mobility concerns should take care.

Pet Policy:
Pets are welcome with prior approval. Limit two pets per stay. Pets must be house-trained, quiet, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Keep pets off furniture and beds, do not leave them unattended, and clean up after them. Guests are responsible for any pet damage.

We really enjoyed our week stay over Christmas! Everything was exactly as described and the host provided instructions, which made it easy to operate everything around the home. The outdoor spa was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. The host kindly checked in after the first day to make sure everything was up to par. Would definitely stay again!

I cannot say enough good things about this place and the owners! Monica and Skip were very responsive from the start and they do a really good job of informing guests of tips and how to use amenities without being overbearing or sounding snippy. And they do such a good job of caring for this AMAZING house! The beds were comfortable, the house is spacious and well-insulated, the kitchen is great for cooking and well stocked with pots, pans, knives and spices. Toiletries in the showers and plenty of nice towels. Plus their checkout list is easy-peasy, not ridiculous. But the absolute highlight is the yard. The pool is heated perfectly--we used it every single day. It has a nice shelf for sitting and it's great for kids who maybe aren't as confident swimmers. The hot tub is also incredible for relaxing under the stars or soaking after a hike. The whole place feels loved and homey, but also clean and modern. My small women's group absolutely wants to come back!

Beautiful home just a little way out of YV. Views of the hills and Joshua-Tree-studded desert. Very quiet neighborhood of larger parcels and homes. Fully stocked kitchen. A den open to the kitchen with its own 65’ TV. Large living room separate with even bigger TV. Distance between enough for people to break out for visiting. Same with the back yard, the pix can’t even capture the comfort. For even more comfort, 3 King bedrooms along the desert-side facing west, away from living areas, with a Queen bedroom off the kitchen. Ideal property for any ages to gather.

Great desert escape

We had a great stay in Joshua Tree. The property itself is very welcoming and tranquil. It was a perfect escape from LA for a few days. Everything was clean and exactly as pictured. We walked to a trailhead for a nice hike in Black Rock canyon but spent most of our time by the pool relaxing.

One of the Best Stays We've Ever Had!

We booked this home for our step son’s birthday, and it truly exceeded all expectations. By far one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve ever had. The house was immaculate—super clean and thoughtfully designed for comfort and fun. Perfect for our family getaway!The location is amazing—tucked away at the end of a quiet court, it felt so private and peaceful. The amenities were incredible: a beautiful pool and hot tub, cozy fire pit in the backyard that was perfect for our s’mores night, corn hole, foosball, and more. The big, comfy couch in the living room was perfect for relaxing, and every bed was extremely comfortable as well. We also really appreciated the little sitting areas in each bedroom—such a nice touch.Skip and Monica were the perfect hosts—responsive, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality. We’ll absolutely be back!

This home is so beautiful. The hosts communicated well with us and were very nice and helpful. Everything we could want was thought of. There were signs and directions throughout the house explaining how to work things. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and pool. The beds were very comfy. This is our favorite vacation home we have stayed in.

Beautiful Vacation Getaway

So many great memories made during our stay. The house has everything you need plus some. One of the best rentals we have ever stayed at. The rental was extremely clean and we were all comfortable during our stay. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the kids enjoyed the pool daily. We loved watching the sunrise from the jacuzzi and the sunsets were unbelievable. The Two living rooms were great allowing kids and the adults to have their own space. Kitchen stocked with everything you need tons of spices, nice quality pans and knives ready for the chef. Access to Joshua Tree trails pretty much from the backyard. A short walk up to the campground where you can jump on multiple trails. Warren Peak Trailhead is right there and had absolutely amazing views at the peak. Nice selection of local restaurants and stores as well as national chains right there. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay close to it all.

After minutes on the property, you will want to give Skip and Monica 20 stars. Their communication is far superior to anything I’ve experienced with VRBO. The home looks just like the pictures. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Skip’s and Monica’s home. They were quick to communicate when we had questions and went out of their way to accommodate our unique needs. The home was clean and the area is peaceful with plenty of opportunity for out door exploring. Highly recommend this place for your next Yucca Valley visit!

Quiet desert refuge

We were looking for a place to spend some time away from everything but desert, sun and sky, and this was perfect. The house was way too big for the two of us, but we felt entirely comfortable and the house would be wonderful for up to 8 folks -- four bedrooms, three bathrooms and lots of wonderful living spaces, indoors and out. Pretty much anything you might need/want is there, in a wonderful setting, with the pool/hot tub perfect for day or night. Be sure to have the pool heated if you're there in cooler weather -- this is really necessary even if you're only using the hot tub, as the water circulates between the pool and tub [and extra charge, but necessary]. For hiking, the house is right below a park with trails, but of course no one should miss visiting Joshua Tree National Park, which is very close.

Top desert oasis

Thank you so much for such a truly beautiful home. It is by far one of the best organized and well-maintained rentals that we have ever used. Communication, rental information and location were perfect. The outdoor living is superb. Pool, hot tub and fire pit were terrific! All indoor appliances and electronics were easily operated and in great condition. Our family truly enjoyed our stay.

Magical escape!

This property made me fall in love with the desert! Check in was seamless, Skip and Monica even let us check in early at no charge. The location of the property is great & neighborhood is very quiet, food & anything else you need is less than 10 min drive. The house was luxurious: immaculately clean, AC worked great, comfortable beds, the master bathroom was LOVELY. The interior design was tasteful. The layout of the house was well thought out, loved that the master bed, the living room, and the sitting area all had doors leading to the pool. The pool was the highlight - my family spent the majority of our time in the pool and hot tub. Huge back yard perfect for our dogs to run around. There was a nice shady area in the back, which was great because even during the heat of the day our dogs had somewhere to go that wouldn’t hurt their paws. The view from the back yard was breath taking. Loved doing yoga in the early morning out back - it was soo peaceful and relaxing. At night we saw the largest shooting star I have ever seen! It lit up the whole night sky for over a minute, my family and I were stunned. Such a wonderful getaway. Needless to say we did not want to leave!

Incredible Desert Getaway!

This trip was comprised of 8 well traveled women and this was undoubtedly the most incredible vacation home we have ever stayed in! The house was immaculate in every facet. Being able to jump in the pool after coming home from hiking Joshua Tree to watching a movie on their cozy couch, all 8 of us could have stayed here forever. If you’re looking for a desert getaway that feels like home, this is it! Skip and Monica were amazing. I cannot wait to come back one day!

Perfect family vacation

Absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The house is meticulously maintained and clean. Everything is available from bathroom and kitchen supplies to even hats for hiking. Spa area is perfect to cool down the heat or relax under the stars. Absolutely quiet location with opportunities to see quails, roadrunners, lizards directly on the property. Awesome property on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park

This property is well located on the end of a cul-de-sac near the border of Joshua Tree National Park. The house is very well maintained and the owners obviously take pride in offering a great experience for their visitors. The bedrooms and baths are clean, comfortable and well equipped The kitchen is open to a sitting area and the barbecue is just outside the kitchen door. Outside we enjoyed use of the pool and spa and looked at the night sky while sitting by the fire ring. Skip and Monica are great hosts and we highly recommend this property!

I am a retired Vice President of Commercial Lending with a passion for managing our 4 vacation rentals and long-term rentals in California and Texas. Monica, a former Dental Hygienist, enjoys shopping, decorating, and overseeing our cleaning crew as our Hospitality Manager. On our free time, we love exploring the outdoors near our house in Huntington Beach by swimming, hiking, biking, and inline skating. We are thrilled to share that we acquired this property in November 2020 and have spent a year meticulously renovating and preparing the house to make it the perfect desert oasis. We fell in love with the location and the stunning views that can be seen from every window, and we've worked hard to create a luxurious indoor space that blends seamlessly with the natural beauty of the surrounding desert.

This property is especially meaningful to us because it was our largest project yet, and we're proud to say it's now the fourth vacation rental in our portfolio. We believe our guests will appreciate the care and attention we've put into every detail, from the high-quality furnishings to the thoughtful amenities we've included to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We love the location at the top of Sky-Harbor right next to the boundary of Joshua Tree National Park at Black Rock Canyon Campground and Horse Camp. Getting around Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree is a breeze, with Highway 62 running through the entire city. Along the way, you'll find Morongo Valley gas stations, Cactus Mart, and a variety of unique vintage stores with cafes sprinkled in. Be sure to stop by the Frontier Cafe on Pioneer Road and Hwy 62 before checking out the art display at the ACME gift shop out back, and don't miss the inviting Hoof and Post and other nearby shops.

There are also several grocery stores along Hwy 62, including Stater Brothers, Vons, and Grocery Outlet, as well as a row of fast food options that includes Arby’s, McDonald's, Del Taco, Sonics, and Starbucks. Towards Yucca Valley's end, you'll find the Super Walmart and Home Depot, along with more chain eateries like Steak and Shake, Panda Express, and Taco Bell.

Joshua Tree City is home to stunning scenic views and unique stores, including the must-visit Rock Shop and Joshua Tree Coffee. If you're up for an adventure, head down Park Ave. to discover Coyote Corner, JT Saloon (which can have a long wait but is worth it), JT Visitor Center, and the Crochet Museum. Park Ave. is also the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, where you can explore the breathtaking landscapes and take on a variety of hikes. Note that there is a fee of around $30.00 to enter the park, but it's well worth it. Our favorite hike is Parker Dam, and we highly recommend checking out the photo-worthy Skull Rock while you're there.
