Pet friendly, obvious evidence of previous pet "accidents" and smell. Stairways must be evidenced in photos. Guest book would be nice addition. Likely very muddy in rainy weather with adjacent construction.

Host - We went to barbaruq about 2 hours after arrival. There was NO gas in tank. Been left ope & drained out. 2nd tank empty, I text Host and did not like her attitude. She said if anyone had needed gas they went and got it themselves. I offered to get it & be reimbursed. She did not like that but since I asked she would. Eventually it was solved. Her cleaning lady brought it to us. but we have come to NC mountains for 30 years. Host have never required this. Tanks have always been full. I feel her attitude was rude. The bed was perfect and the house was lovely. The view was beautiful. We enjoyed our week there.

Best view and great place to relax and get away

This was our third time staying here and we still love it and will be back. Can’t beat the view whether relaxing in the hot tub, hanging out on the deck or just reading a book inside. Lots of waterfall hikes and visiting Brevard on days we wanted to get out. Mostly enjoyed relaxing and spending time with fam. Great place and great host. Will be back!

Weekend Get Away

Great views as advertised. Very secluded spot which was peaceful and quiet. This is our second visit to the property and may not be our last.

Beautiful Property

Property was great. Second time We stayed here but under new ownership. Check out process was not great. The cleaning people were dishonest about what was done on our end and we left the property very clean but they stated otherwise. Just be careful when you check out and take pictures.

Absolutely awesome

Pictures do not begin to show how awesome the view is from the deck. Had everything we needed to make a last minute weekend getaway wonderful and relaxing. Very clean and so comfortable. We will definitely be returning.

Awesome place

Enjoyed our stay and the view. The house is about 30 min from Brevard and I did t realize that when I booked. The view is worth it but don’t plan on being close to city amenities. The extras the owner provided are very thoughtful and make it homey.

Heavenly Views

Two week get away from the heat of Florida. Wife and I very much enjoyed both our alone time and time with our adult kids and their significant others along with our dogs. Waterfall fall adventures, hiking, fishing and boating. The Muse was the best location to unwind and decompress. Quiet and peaceful. The host was excellent to quickly address any issues we had like internet not working. She had guy out next morning to replace modem. The remote location, hot tub, fire pit, back decks overlooking Lake Jocassee (which we rented a boat for a half day), and house was most pleasant. Would recommend this place to my friends.

Magnificent View

Teri did a great job communicating many tidbits of valuable info to enhance your stay. We were very grateful for the directions to the home as GPS omits one road. The view is beyond exquisite. It is constantly changing so it is most entertaining. The home is as cute as can be. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was a unique experience to have the power go out very briefly, but there is a generator that automatically kicks on! My only recommendation would be an umbrella on the second floor patio to give shade during the hot summer. There is a shaded patio below where the hot tub is, of which you gain access by exiting the home and walking around to the back patio. The top porch is so much more convenient. Thank you for a beautiful, restful time.

View is Even Better Than Advertised!

This property is beautiful! The pictures are great, but do not even begin to do justice to the unbelievable view! We could not take our eyes off the mountain ranges, lake in the distance, etc. The view is ever-changing as the day progresses. The home offers several ways to enjoy the view. The decks are nice and, of course, the hot tub is fun. However, I loved the huge windows in the dining and living area. The binoculars on the desk were a great touch! The home itself is wonderful. The beds were nice and everyone in our group was comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked. In fact, the whole house is very well-appointed with pretty much everything we needed. We felt at home instantly! The fire pit is a fun place to hang out too! The ride out to the house takes about 15-20 minutes from Brevard and involves a gravel road up a mountain. However, the payoff is well worth it! We felt secluded, but not not too remote. We did get groceries before leaving Brevard and were glad we did. I could have stayed at the house the whole time and looked at the mountains. However, we did enjoy a few day outings to Sliding Rock, Brevard downtown, Ecusta Brewing, Looking Glass Falls, Whitewater Falls, Hooker Falls, etc. The young people in our group did an additional hike. Our little dog had a great time too! We are already talking about when we can return. We have always loved the area and enjoyed our RELAXING and REJUVENATING stay!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

If you want a fantastic view, THIS IS THE HOUSE! We absolutely loved our stay. Every day the colors of the leaves changed and the sunsets were amazing! Do not miss an opportunity to stay at this home. We plan another trip next fall to enjoy the “Show Of Colors”!

View of views!

The view off the back deck was spectacular. House was clean and the amenities were well thought out. Quite aways from town and restaurants. Great for a quiet getaway.
