Great home away from home!
Our first visit to Broken Bow was to view the Total Eclipse. The Lucky Duck Lodge was the perfect get-a-way home. Everything about the house is inviting, comfortable and very well equipped. Their on call staff was friendly and efficient. When we called about an issue with the microwave they knocked on our door in about 30 mins.
The location was perfect - somewhat isolated and surrounded by beautiful woods, yet close to town and Beaver Bend State Park.
The hot tub is spacious and situated where you can enjoy star gazing. There is plenty of seating inside, on both decks as well as around the fire pit.
We especially enjoyed hiking the Friends Trail which gives you a decent workout climbing the hill and then winds down to the beautiful river. If you continue your drive across the bridge the trail on the other side of the river is even more amazing. There is a tiny tough patch to get to the trail but don't let that stop you. The trail itself is easy to moderate and traverses along the river offering many amazing views and photo ops.
We look forward to returning to the area to enjoy more of the many amenities offered. Our hosts provided a long list of local fun which was very helpful. We we book early in hopes of once again securing Lucky Duck Lodge as our accommodations. .
