Lazy Bear Den - Cozy Cabin with Open Floor Plan

Come on in, sit back and take it easy. This charming cabin has an open floor plan with a wood stove to center it. The cabin comes with a queen size bed and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a Keurig coffee maker for your convenience. The bathroom has a tub and shower combination. Please know that the hot tub is no longer inside the cabin, but out on the front deck in the fresh open air. Watch streaming channels on the flat screen television. Relax and enjoy. This cabin is close to Unicoi State Park and about 4-5 miles from downtown Helen.

This is an open studio floor plan.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Lazy Bear Den is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The road is dirt and gravel. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles
• Pets: Pets are not allowed at Lazy Bear Den.
• Location: 4.5 miles to downtown Helen.

Super Clean, Great for the Price

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The inside of the cabin was super clean - not a cobweb, bug, or any dirt in site. It appears to be decorated with Goodwill furniture, but it's really comfortable. The tv buffers badly. The outside of the cabin & lot looks like a dump. There's an old, broken down bus in the parking area, trees are down all over the property and it's been that way awhile, the outside of the cabin has bondo spots all over where they've filled holes, but never painted and it's really dark at night making it hard to find the walkway. The hot-tub is hot, but only a few jets work, the adjustment knobs have been broken off years ago, the head rests are all missing. Basically, the outside is a mess and the inside is awesome. Sounds like a bad review, but it's not intended to be that way. The part I really cared about (inside) is great and I'd stay there again.

We even utilized the fire place. Perfect for a weekend getaway with my husband. We even had some concern with connecting the TV to WiFi and a service man was able to come help us troubleshoot. Very helpful! Thanks for having us, at Lazy Bear Den. We can’t wait to come back!

There was an abandoned transit bus in the drive way. There is no curtains in the cabin just blinds that do not block any light so forget sleeping in,at night the outside light comes on and shines directly into the cabin right onto where you lay your head so theres that. Tv came on but internet was out but they did leave a Hotspot,but unfortunately it wouldn't connect. When calling the after hours maintenance man he did not care and was zero help in regard to fixing the problem. Was supposed to be a relaxing sleep in get away but that was a major fail. Also when parking there is an abandoned transit bus next to the drive and what looked like a permanent residence not 50yds away with dogs barking . Not sure i would recommend anyone staying at this cabin.

Weekend with my teenage daughter

We had a fabulous time! It was perfect for the two of us. Management was amazing. The cabin is tucked into a quiet corner. Close to town yet far enough away. Wish the cobwebs and a couple other things were a little cleaner but hey I had a broom. Took them down myself. 😂. We’ll be back next time we need an escape for a few days. Thanks for the memories

There was no water pressure. And cobwebs everywhere. Most of the jets in the hot tub did not work. Wish we were told that the bill was so rough because we came in a little sports car. It was very quiet but definitely could use some work.

COULD NOT SIT OUTSIDE TO ENJOY THE WEATHER ONLY ONE FOLD UP CHAIR,,DRIVE TO THE CABIN WAS FULL OF VERY BAD DEEP RUTS VERY DANGEROUS.WOULD NOT EVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN VERY COSTLY TOO.

Simply Exploring

Our stay at the Lazy Den was great! Loved the cabin and hot tub experience. Remember to bring your code with you as you leave the cabin as the door locks automatically when closed. The cabin is conveniently located to surrounding cities and there is plenty of interesting things to do. Anna Ruby falls is beautiful as well as the National forest. The cabin kitchen is well equipped if you are planning on fixing meals during your stay and the rooms are a good size. Very Happy with our stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: loved the open floor plan, amenities of cabin, soft bed, good supply of towels, and kitchen necessities. The cabin was easy to find, outside lights were on at time of arrival. I would like to have had an interior lock on the door to feel 100% safe as I do not fully trust the lock that I cannot tell is locked from the inside of the cabin. A 2nd safety feature lock would have been nice to have for peace of mind. The hot tub needs some TLC - the head rests are missing, the jets are floating in the tub and would not stay in place, the controls to adjust the jets were also broken - if you are looking to stay in hot tub this cabin is not for you until these features are fixed. We did not use the fireplace or grill. Tall ceilings and rough wood are get for cobwebs, and the cabin had plenty - its kind of expected. I would recommend the property for location and cozy for a couple - I do not recommend the hot tub.

Weekend Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was the perfect, cozy size for two people. It was quiet and peaceful. It is actuallynicer than the pictures showed. We enjoyed using the hot tub to kick back and relax after a fun day of exploring Helen. We are thinking we would like to return in the Fall when the leaves start changing. We enjoyed our stay.
