Very clean and great location. The host was wonderful. It is strange that you are on the top floor of a salon, but it did not bother m3 and my guests.

I booked with my friends for st. Patrick’s weekend and it was the best. Good and easy communication with host, had access to basic amenities and a very clean spacious rooms. I would definitely recommend, 10/10!!

Came in below my expectations

To start off with, the residence is above a salon which I knew beforehand but I didn’t mind until I saw there was no privacy. The wall up the stairs is glass, it’s the shared wall, one side the salon the other side is the stairs leading up to the residence. When I say there is no privacy I mean the people in the salon can see you if you are in the “kitchen” area. There are three levels to the building, first level is the salon, 2nd level is the vrbo residence and the “basement” is under the salon. When people are using the stairs from the salon to the basement it sounds as if people are coming up your stairs to the vrbo. First day got super freaked out when I heard people using the staircase in the salon because I thought they were coming up our stairs. 2 of the three bedrooms we had a hard time adjusting the heaters so we had to stay in the third room and that heater worked perfectly. Unfortunately the rest of the residence was extremely cold and I did not want to go back and forth with the host to figure it out. The bathroom did not have a functional mirror. I’m not sure how the guests/reviewers before me had 6 people get ready with no good mirror. No washcloths, no extra blankets. My husband grabbed a plate out of the drawer the last night we were there, water came off it. Glasses were dirty, floors are EXTREMELY DIRTY. I truly wondered when the last time someone scrubbed that floor was. We had to wear socks the entire time to not get our feet black. Wouldn’t stay again.

Excellent Host

Our stay was excellent. We were a group of 5 here for a wedding. We had no issues checking. The place was as described and meticulously clean. We stayed for 3 nights. The location was perfect. We would rent again for sure. The Host was easy to contact and great to deal with.

We were looking for a place for 6 adults to stay for an out of town wedding. This place exceeded our expectations! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful unit in a great location

Everything was great. - Check-in/check-out were as easy as can be. - The location is perfect - I was visiting the Google office for the week, so you can't beat the convenience of being across the street. Beyond that, it's walking distance to both downtown Kitchener and Uptown Waterloo. - The unit was clean and attractive. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice bonus. Things to be aware of when booking: - It's above a hair salon. So in the evenings/nights the building is very quiet, which is perfect. Not sure about during the day. - There's no "living room" area; there's a couch in each bedroom, and a small table in the kichenette. Not a problem for me, but if the full 6 people were staying here, there's not really a space for all 6 people to hang out together. This will definitely be my go-to place when I come to Kitchener-Waterloo.
