Good location a short walk from black rock

Overall really liked the accommodations. Master bedroom was nice. Brother said the small mattress was a bit uncomfortable but kind of expected. Location was about an 8 minute walk from black rock. No salt pepper or seasonings of any sort when we went which was a bit odd. Overall would definitely stay at this location again. Only complaint is it is not immediately on the water and requires a small drive or walk to access beach

Great location

Very spacious property with a great location. Just a short and pleasant walk across the street to get to the beach and shops. We worked while there and had great Internet connection and all appliances etc. worked great.

Provided the basic needs

Kitchen needs some work. Dishwasher front crashes on your foot. Cabinets trashed and sticky. Missing wine opener and any bakeware. Had to have maintenance come and switch out an outlet and patio lamp. Otherwise as described. Great location. Just needs some TLC.

Well equipped and a good experience

Overall a good experience. Well equipped. Rented boogie boards and snorkeling stuff near by and enjoyed the beaches when we had some sunshine. Little rainy at the end but enjoyed overall. Bed were ok for family, pullout in living room was better than expected.

Convenient and comfortable

Great ground floor unit! Has all the necessities for a stay in Maui, from bogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and all the kitchen ware you will need. The property management team are very responsive to any questions or request. Will recommend this unit to friends and family

Great location and property

Located close to Whaler’s Village and Kaanapali Beach. Clean property and condo. Condo is nicely appointed and well maintained. It has extras such as beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, inflatables, etc. It’s located on the north end of the property and the walk to the mall and beach are approximately 10 minutes. We also paid a daily fee per day for parking there. Overall a good stay.

Everything was really good

Everything was really good and we are giving this rental a 5 star rating. Mostly due to the KBM team who handled all issues with quick resolutions and hassle free answers. This is a great unit, a bit close to the road, but you get what you pay for. Overall though, a great experience and the team once again was there for us for every request, well done!!!

Good Enough Condo

The location of the complex is 10/10, but the condo itself is not the best location. The lanai faces an elementary school and can be a bit noisy during the day. The unit itself also needs a bit more love from the owner. The kitchen was a little under stocked, could use some more tall glasses (only 2) abd plateware. Nothing major.Master bathroom fan conks in and out, and shower head needs replacing. The unit has a few burned out lights that need fixing. Sliding door to patio is very stiff. Nothing that ruins your stay but some minor annoyances that could be easily dealt with to make things nicer. The property management company (KBM) was amazing to deal with. Very receptive and responsive. Brought us oven sheets when advised the unit didn’t have any, and extra towels as there were only 4 originally. Much appreciated customer service!Ultimately, you’re in Maui, and you'll have an amazing time despite some love that the condo needs and not the best view.

Not what I expected for a "luxury" retreat...

The first thing I noticed was the musty smell. It stunk in there. I immediately emailed the Mgmt. Co and the next AM, they had an air purifier sitting on the counter, so that was plus. In the listing, we were told that the condo would be filled with L'Occitane bath and body products. There were none. Instead, there were a couple of travel sized basic toiletries. Nothing replenished. They stated: All properties professionally managed by KBM Resorts include the following pkgs at no addtl cost to make your vacation one you will always remember: L'Occitane bath and body products found only in luxury spas and resorts worldwide, premium bath linens...I can tell you the bath linens were not premium. I didn’t want to use the towels until we washed them. The beach towels smelled like laundry detergent, so we used those. One of the sinks in a bathroom drained slow and there was hair in the sink – gross! I took a pic of a HUGE brown roach that was on its back near the desk in that same bedroom and the air vents were filthy and could use a nice deep clean. The grill hardly worked. My hubs and Dad worked on that thing for 30 mins to get it lit. We called the Mgmt. office to ask for help and a “work order” was created to get help. We eventually figured it out on our own, but it was not working properly. We were only cooking seafood, so we did not need too high heat. The beach chairs were broken, and swim noodles were filthy. This is not a smoker-friendly space, so if you smoke you need to stand outside the property gate or in the parking lot. There is no picnic table or area to host you, but I can’t be too mad at that – it was just a pain for my mobility-challenged elderly dad. Even the Ritz had a smoke area off to the side. One day my dad had someone from security “yell at him” because he was not far enough into the parking lot. All was not bad – the condo was super close to the Luau we attended at the Hyatt. There is a huge mall and beach close by and downtown Lahaina is nearby. There’s a convenience store literally 2 blocks away for essentials needed for your trip too. The golf course is beautiful. Also, UberEATS delivers here easily! The stay was not completely horrible. For the money you pay vs advertised perks, it falls short of being a luxury resort by far and at best is mediocre. I guess it depends on what your expectations are.

Overall we had a great time. The condo was located on ground level so we didn’t need to climb any stairs to get in or out. The back patio is also on ground level which meant we could easily cross the green to get to the beach and the Whalers Village shopping center with tons of great shops and restaurants. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the laundry room and dishwasher were equipped with laundry and dishwashing pods. Also, there are ample parking spots if you end up renting a car, but there is an added $20/day fee. I have 2 complaints, however. First, the dishwasher did not work so we ended up having to do all of our dishes by hand which is NOT what I wanted to do on my vacation, especially with the amount of money we payed to stay there. Also, when we signed up we were clear that there would be 6 people staying there, but there weren’t enough sheets or pool towels for everyone. There were two twin beds in one room and a queen bed in the other room so 4 people had beds with sheets and blankets. Then there were two fold out couches in the living room, but only one of them had sheets and a blanket. So we called the number they gave us to let them know we needed another set of sheets and a blanket as well as 2 more pool towels and they didn’t get them to us until 24 hours later! Seems like they could have done better than that especially since we were only there one week. I’ll end on a good note, we discovered the pool was open until 10pm each night which was fun for everyone to do together after dinner.

GREAT CONDO and very well kept

GREAT CONDO and very well kept. Well furnished with everything you need. Definitely glad there was AC as it was not super hot but very humid in Maui. We liked that there was a washer, dryer & laundry detergent provided since there isn't any housekeeping during the stay we were able to wash the towels while we were there. It was a nice touch having the lights on, AC already on and the condo cool when we arrived. The Hawaiian chocolates as a welcome was a great touch. Overall very happy with the condo, location and reservation team.

Wow! Condo was incredible

Wow! This condo was incredible! It was perfect for a family of 5. Very spacious and clean. Loved all the extras for going to the beach (chairs, towels, cooler). It truly felt like a home away from home. We spent a lot of time at the different beaches but when we'd come back to relax, this condo was so welcoming. Great location for staying in West Maui with great restaurants within walking distance. We loved the hose out back for easy rinsing. Parking was never an issue. The pool was really nice at night under all the stars. Overall, we would highly recommend this to anyone. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you KBM for helping us make this a great vacation!

Spacious and well decorated

Spacious and well decorated, very comfortable, was always the perfect temperature day and night. Well stocked kitchen. Loved having the boogie boards and buckets and shovels for the sand. Loved the beach towels. Loved the extra table and chairs on the lanai. Loved the cooler on wheels. Would definitely return!

The place was perfect and clean

I couldn't have asked for a more better place to stay. The place was perfect and clean. There was more then we ever asked for. Especially the closet in the backyard that provided all the things we needed for the beach and more! The size, location, cleanliness and facilities were so great! We loved it!

Plan to return to this unit next year

We have stayed in this condo twice. We like the location on the ground floor. The BBQ on the lanai was wonderful. We used it several times. Unit is well equipped with dishes and kitchen gadgets. Always nice to know that we can count on KBM to have the extras like, Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella and nice big beach towels. This past visit we had our grandson and appreciated that a playpen and booster seat we available at no extra cost. Plan to return to this unit next year.
