Welcome to Paradise on Pelican!

Welcome to “Paradise on Pelican- the perfect home for your gathering of family and friends!

This five bedroom home sleeps up to 12-14 people and is situated on a spectacular 1 acre hillside that provides 180-degree breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

We are a short drive to the entrance of Jedediah Redwoods State Park and the Smith River Recreation Area. A few miles south enjoy the Trees of Mystery and several local golf courses. Whether you enjoy golfing, fishing the pristine Smith River, hiking the scenic trails of the Jedediah Redwoods State Park, finding treasures while walking the beach or just watching the magnificent sunsets over the ocean, this home is the perfect choice for your next vacation.

The home provides 5 bedrooms, a Game Room, 2 bathrooms, a large living room with cathedral wood beamed ceilings, a wrap-around deck and a backyard forest of redwood trees. Relax under the gazebo on the outdoor patio set and meet the family of deer that visit each evening.

The home offers televisions in each bedroom with cable and Netflix, a well-equipped kitchen, laundry room and extremely powerful internet connection.

Wake up to views of the ocean and to the sound of the fresh water spring running adjacent to the home. Enjoy your coffee by the big bay windows or dine in the evening by the light of a sunset on the wrap around deck. An open floor plan and big windows allow unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.

The house had a great view of the ocean and was very cozy. I loved the large table for dining together and to play games afterwards. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans as well as having other items that we needed for making breakfast crepes like flour, and vanilla. Be sure to read the binder carefully to find the hidden light switches, especially the one for the main light switch in the kitchen. I would stay here again.

Older but comfortable home. Could use some maintenance and upgrades. But we had a wonderful time. Close to great beach and just down the road from what Brookings has to offer.

Unfortunately, the pictures do this place justice. The place wasn't very clean at all. Pet food and goldfish crackers on the living room rug was our first impression. Linens and bath towels were quite stained..ugh! Spiders were found in of one the beds after a bite! Certainly not the best experience but we made do. The home has potential.

Brookings get away

Great place to stay in Brookings! Lots and lots of space/rooms to accommodate large groups. The game room was fun, enjoyed having beers and playing hoops and ping pong. Beds were comfortable and had smart TV. Deck was great and had new cushions. House has a few beach chairs and towels to borrow.

Family Time

Awsome veiws . Big house with plenty of beds to accommodate all 9 of us that went. The kids have lots of fun with the game room.The only complaints is the place needs to be a bit more deep cleaned. But over all enjoyed it.

Great View-A Few Kitchen Updates & Maintenance Needed

The cleaning crew did a great job preparing for our stay in a few short hours. The view from the deck and kitchen are amazing. The property needs a bit of care: washing machine gasket is mildewed, deep tub in master bath can't really be used because it doesn't plug well or get enough hot water in order to take a true bath, the kitchen china dishes are a lovely color but badly chipped, and a few items needed for baking and cleaning up in the kitchen (like measuring cups, a bigger cutting board, kitchen wash cloths, and a supplementary roll or two of paper towels). We were grateful there was a fireplace when the power went out with the wind one evening. The dining table chairs and one of the living room recliners are not very stable, so be careful how you sit. The sofa bed would open, but not close back up again and no sheets were provided, so we bought some at a thrift store and left them at the house. We needed a separate bed for our teen son since all the other kiddos are girls!

Magical memories

When I booked Paradise on pelican it was a last minute booking. My daughter wanted to go to the beach one more time before she has knee surgery. She wanted to be able to play with her dog on the beach. She also wanted to take her brother and her nephews. This house was absolutely spectacular for everything that we needed. The game room was perfect and kept all of the kids, ages 10, 15, and 17, completely entertained. This gave us adults some good relaxation time on the deck watching the absolutely awe-inspiring scenery of the ocean that can be viewed from the front windows of the living room. This this is definitely a place I will be returning to

Cozy Home w/ a Great View

We've been looking for awhile now, to find a place that was affordable, pet friendly, had an ocean view and access to the house w/out the requirement of stairs for my MIL who is unable to get up them. We were so excited when we found this home, as it checked every box. My MIL loves the ocean and hasn't been able to enjoy it for many years. It was great to see her enjoy the view from the living room and enjoy time with the grandkids. The kids loved the downstairs playroom and the beach was just a few mins away. Thank You so much for opening up your home. It was the perfect place for our family!

Amazing view and beautiful home!

Perfectly located to visit the Redwoods and the local beaches. The home was nice and suited all of our needs. We loved the ocean view and was able to watch the sunset the last night if our stay! Mother Nature brought rain the other nights but the view was still beautiful. Lianne was amazing and any questions we had were answered immediately! Would highly recommend and will love to stay here in the future!

Brookings stay

The view of from the house is beautiful. The house was in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that could have been better was the downstairs bedrooms had a lot of dead spiders everywhere. There were a lot of alive spiders also. Which we know comes with living in the woods.

Great stay on the coast

Lots of beds for all 9 of us. Fun time hanging out looking out over the coast and playing games. Might need a map to the different light switches. Communication was clear and quick

Great Location

Paradise on Pelican gave us great access to the Redwood Forrest and nearby beaches. The house was very quiet and had great beach views. The property owners were very easy to work with!

Awesome Home for Families

We loved out stay at this amazing home. It was very well kept, everything was very clean and they had anything you could need. Beach towels and chairs, plenty of clean linens, and all of the necessities in the kitchen for a 5 star meal. Love Brookings Or. and loved our stay in this home!!

Amazing location and incredible views

The house and amenities were perfect for our group’s Friendsgiving. The kitchen was well stocked with all that we needed to make a meal for 11. The views from the main living area were wonderful and beach access/exploring in the area was better than we hoped. The few issues we ran into were quickly and thoughtfully addressed by the owner. A great holiday getaway!

Great house with beach views

Beautiful home with lots of room for everyone, inside and out. The game room was perfect for our grandkids (and us adults) when we weren't hanging out at the beach or at the Chetco River. When we arrived, there was a problem, so called the property person and she got it resolved right away. :-)
