BEACH COTTAGE BY THE SEA....

Hello! Welcome to The Jacobs Beach Cottage!!! We are excited to share to you our SMALL humble but charming beach cottage. What we love about our cottage home is the outstanding view of the Chesapeake Bay with white sandy beach, just steps from our door!!!

The beach cottage is a SMALL "INTIMATE" BEACH COTTAGE but it is aesthetically designed utilizing all spaces with beauty, functions and comfort of our guests in mind. The cottage is for guests to enjoy the full house, deck, grounds, shed and the white sandy beach of Chesapeake Bay. A newly renovated single level home – 2 bedrooms (convertible to 3 bedrooms), 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and sunroom with full view of the Bay. PLS NOTE: THE MASTERBED IS ELEVATED, PLS WATCH YOUR STEPS IN THE PLATFORM WHEN YOU ARE GOING IN/OUT OF THE BED. The cottage has fully equipped kitchen, brand new appliances, bidets in bathrooms (luxury bidet in masterbath). Linens, towels, kayaks, assorted water gears, beach chairs are provided; also, life vests for adults and children provided. PLS BRING FLOATS AND LIFE VEST FOR SMALL KIDS. 3 nights minimum required stay; maximum of 6 guests. The size of our cottage is only allowed for 6 guests, as required by Northumberland County law. On site parking (2 cars), please do NOT PARK ON THE STREET, as per County law. If you have guests coming during the day there is an additional of $10 per person/per day for the use of the facilities. PLS CONTACT US IF YOU ARE OVER A GROUP OF 6+ DURING DAYTIME, WE APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY- we are a flexible host:)

Wifi, TV w/ basic cable channels, Blu-ray/DVD player, and wide range of movie selections available. CELL PHONE CONNECTION IS SPOTTY. If you are teleworking or attending a virtual meeting, The Jacobs Beach Cottage is actually a perfect retreat to focus on your job and enjoy the tranquility of the nature…or perhaps it is better to leave your laptop computer at home and enjoy the moment with your family at the beach. Either way, The Jacobs Beach Cottage is an excellent getaway destination!!! Visit the neighboring water towns of Kilmarnock, Irvington, White Stone, Heathsville, Matthews and many more…Explore the picturesque land-and-seascape of Northern Neck!!!

Great little getaway

The house is small, but works great for a getaway and has everything you need. We spent most of our time at the beach or on the deck -- so peaceful!

This cottage was the perfect little getaway, very cozy and intimate with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away from the world. Beautiful scene. Sunrise on the beach is perfect. Loved the low waves. Was easy to swim. The home was so cute! They were FULLY stocked. Anything that you think you may need and it’s there. The bed was squishy comfy. Even when we stayed inside, we had a gorgeous view from the sunroom. The neighbors were super friendly. The host was very responsive and extremely nice! Will definitely return to this little paradise!

Loved the beach access and cozy atmosphere

We had a great stay at this property - we loved being able to walk right outside and be at the beach and having meals on the back porch where we could appreciate the view. The property owners were extremely helpful and communicative, and the neighbors were all very welcoming. The beach was perfect for our 2-year old (small waves and plenty of room for digging in the sand), and the house was cozy and met all our needs.

We had a great experience staying here. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and the beach access is like no other, just right out the back door. Really love the location of this spot! It's remote, perfect for solitude, and the beach is 50 feet from the house! The view is beautiful. The house is very clean and it's very cozy. We also got to see the milky way at night. It was the perfect getaway that my partner and I needed!

We LOVED our stay and it was so relaxing. We traveled with an infant (5 months) and it went great. The Jacobs were so generous and offered us an early day check-in and late check-out free of charge. The sunrises were EXTRAORDINARY and the property is fully stacked with anything you need but might forget. Ex: we forgot our bug spray and found one on the property! The property is clean, kitchen fully functional and well stocked with cooking/serving wear. Freezer has an ice maker and that was great. Notes for future travelers:- The property is small, think trailer house. So if you have tall/large travelers, this might not be the place for you. My husband managed to be okay, but was not able to be in certain parts of the property.

Awesome view

Our stay for 2 weeks was awesome! Couldn’t get enough of the view! Lived on the deck. Private beach was amazing and the house was fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. This was our first vacation in 50 years without any kids or grandkids and it was super relaxing and quiet. would definitely go back as long as I don’t have to bring kids or grandkids!

Best we've ever experienced

Everything associated with our stay was superior. The cleanliness, the arrangements inside the home, the view, the varied wildlife we saw, the local trips we took, the day cruise to Tangier Island, and most importantly, the personal care that the host took to welcome us to celebrate my 80th birthday. I love taking photos and this is an amazing location for that. The Herons, Bluebirds, Eagles, and even a hummingbird seemed to be posing for a photo. And the stars at night over the Chesapeake allowed me to take night photos that I could not have gotten from a less dark place. This is by far the best mini vacation we have taken at a cottage anywhere. And to top it off, the neighnor was very helpful and the locals we met were all very friendly. We strongly recommend this beach cottage!

Meet Charlie & Chrissy! We have been dubbed by families and friends as “The Lovebirds.” We have 2 talented, hardworking, smart children, and for 2+ decades later being married to each other- we are still honeymooning. We have traveled to many countries and seen different cultures. We have taken countless of road trips far and wide but the most exciting adventures we had were the ones unplanned. On 2004, a supposed trip to the grocery to buy milk, eggs & cheese 2 miles away turned us up to Reedville, Virginia (130 miles away)- without milk, eggs & cheese on hand when we returned home 3 days later. We instantly fell in love with the Northern Neck Region and so this is the reason why we got this beach cottage in Chesapeake Bay… now we are sharing it to you! Cheers!!!
