Charming& Cozy Cabin walking distance to downtown and trails

This cozy, charming, and updated cottage has a simple and engaging layout with a single-level entry, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom.

Bedroom 1 features a queen-size memory foam mattress and a door that leads out to your own quaint porch. Perfect for grabbing a blanket, some hot cocoa, a book, and snuggling up in the chair. If you need to work while here, our desk gives you the space to do so while in the privacy of the bedroom.

Bedroom 2 loves dreamers from 0-99 with two sets of bunk beds (4 beds in total) featuring memory foam mattresses and lots of cozy blankets. A pack and play is also available in this room.

The living room provides comfortable seating for everyone in your family. Board games, books, T.V., and WiFi (25mb/s down 3mb/s up) await you for your down times. The beautiful fireplace boasts a stunning hand-scraped mantle that makes an attractive and simple reminder of an earlier time.

The stocked kitchen has all the basic necessities, a Keurig and dishwasher. It showcases local artist JD Custom Wood Works and his stunning wood countertops. Falling in love with these was easy and gives the kitchen a rustic feel while maintaining the vibrancy that is found throughout Cloudcroft.

Located in the heart of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. You’ll be swept away by the many trailheads nearby, the bustling town with restaurants just a stroll's distance, and sparkling aspen trees.

Sweet Sarah provides a binder filled with information to best plan your trip. From where to eat, hike, bike, snowmobile, golf, try your hand at archery, and much more! Heck, if you decide you want to be our neighbor, we’ve got a guy for that too!

Home away from home

Our stay was very accommodating and comfortable. The cabin provided everything we need and more. Host/owner does an amazing job with the feel of being at home. Excellent place to stay. We will definitely rebook!!

Fun in the woods!

It was our first time visiting Cloudcroft and we absolutely loved this cabin, “Sweet Sarah” . Perfect location, with quick walk to town where even the kids didn’t complain about walking. Home was fully stocked with everything you could need and then some. Bonus, the beds and pillows were super comfy! Can’t wait to stay again in a few months!

Comfy cozy cabin

The cabin is a home away from home. So comfy and cozy with all the amenities you need. Perfect escape from the hot Texas weather. Stayed in May and never got above 72 in the cabin. Love the location. Walking distance to shop, eat and hike the many trails. Traveled to several destinations during the day hiking in the sun and it felt so good to come back to the cool mountain air and coziness of this cabin. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Stay in Cloudcroft, New Mexico

Took a four-day trip to Cloudcroft, NM, from far west Texas. The accommodations were great. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the location. Our Maltapoo, Pam, also loved her stay. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go.

4 days of relaxation

Jen and Family were absolutely wonderful to work with, and she stayed in touch throughout the booking and reservation process. The check in was flawless and our cabin super clean and comfortable. There were 4 adults staying and everyone was very pleased. I will be staying with these hosts again… definitely!

Snowed in with Cabin Fever

So we were snowed in for a day with the main road in even closed for a spell. I can confirm that the cabin fever was not a problem. It was quaint, cozy with books, games and guest Roku to give us plenty of options to log in and watch movies. It was a great stay here!

A Weekend Away

My family and I needed a place to rest and unwind for a few days. This charming little cabin provided the perfect setting with a beautiful mountain backdrop. The owners have thought of everything and have created the perfect environment. We would definitely recommend it.

Cozy and close to town

My husband and I brought my grandma up for a short weekend visit. We all adored this quaint cottage and we're impressed by the care that Jenny and her family put into it. The check-in and out were simple and easy and we loved that we could walk to pretty much anywhere in town. Thank you again Jenny!

Perfect for a getaway!

This property has everything and more! Photos online do not do it justice! It’s extremely clean and decorated beautifully! Extra touches makes it even better! There are even little treats and extras for your furry friends. This was a wonderful VRBO and a perfect location within walking distance to the Village. We will definitely stay again!

Amazing Rental!!!

This cabin was perfect for our family of four. The hosts have thought of everything -down to condiment packets in the fridge. They have a book full of recommended activities (we wound up going to indoor archery one afternoon) and the cabin is located close to some amazing trails (we recommend the Osha trail). I can't say enough good things about this rental and we will use this cabin again on our next stay in Cloudcroft!

Mountain Getaway

My daughter & I had a wonderful stay at Sweet Sarah! It was an easy walk to the center of town and an easy drive to so many attractions in the area. Check in was a breeze and Jenny was very responsive to any questions we had. The cabin was perfect, with everything we needed...and many more thoughtful touches that were pleasant surprises! We already miss morning coffee on the back porch in the crisp mountain air. We definitely plan on a return trip to Cloudcroft & staying again!

Justin works in IT, Jen is a writer with a children's book on the way, Amelia (11) is full of adventure and Sam (9) is happiest building elaborate forts with sticks.

We fell in love with this property right when we walked in. Our 40-year-old beauty queen needed some love and we set out on this adventure as a family. We took this opportunity to learn new things about home improvement and ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed planning fun ways to serve our guests the best way that we could. It is within walking distance of downtown
There are several trailheads available within walking distance as well
Our countertops are by local artist JD Custom WoodWorks and use local trees and found treasures to make a stunning focal point
We were blessed to be able to put our favorite bible verses on the studs of the property
We have had an elk knock on our door
We have all the things you need to make hummingbird food and have a window where you can observe them as they enjoy it
