This cottage was perfect! The pellet and space heaters were sufficient for the cold weather, the yard was perfect for our dogs, the cottage was within walking distance to all we wanted to be near in Cloudcroft. 100% recommend, will stay again.

Wonderful host and fantastic cottage! We arrived the day of the January 2026 winter storm and the host was super flexible and accomodating! The cottage was ready and we wintered the storm in comfort. Fantastic experience.

The house is absolutely charming! beyond cute. Everything was clean, and what we needed. The back yard was set up for entertaining and very private. We have a huge dog, but he got used to the side yards, and it was perfect. We enjoyed our stay mainly due to the house, being so comfortable, washer dryer, shower, comfortable bed, books, puzzles, and great tv, and stove!

Great location, perfect walking distance to most everything.

This location couldn’t be better, walking access everywhere in town. Loved the antique furniture and design. Our dogs were safe and comfortable in the secure backyard.

Quaint Cottage

We were very happy with this adorable quaint cottage. Was very close to town and within walking distance to restaurants. It was very clean and had enough towels for all of us. Great hot water! We will return.

What a quaint little cottage steps from everything in Cloudcroft. Had everything we needed including comfy beds and bedding…I’m a bit of a sheet snob. Lol. Would definitely book again…

Charming Cottage

The cottage is nicely decorated, beautifully maintained, and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. We sat on the front porch and back patio to visit and read in the beautiful Cloudcroft weather. You can walk anywhere in town from the cottage. We had some great walks. The owners were very responsive. We absolutely loved our time in Cloudcroft.

The house was wonderful everything you need is there for cooking walking into town it was nice we were there for the lumberjack festival and we had a great time we had one issue the last night which was the carbon dioxide alarm went off at 4 o’clock in the morning and kept going off That was the only issue we had

Loved our stay! For dog owners, the fenced back yard was great. It's basically a very big deck and a rocked portion along the side of the house. No questionable area you're worried about what the dog could get into. The front porch is where we spent all our time (with child gate to keep dogs in). Sunrise was gorgeous. Wish I'd noticed the puzzles in front bedroom earlier, we would have worked on one all week! Have always stayed outside of the Village on other visits, but discovered being in town was so much more fun. Will be back!

We are VRBO newbies. We stayed in the Lilac Cottage in Cloudcroft because the pictures looked very inviting. It was better, much better, than the pictures on the VRBO website. The cottage is whole lot bigger than we thought and it was nice, clean and charming, with the cottage vibe throughout. I really don't think we could have asked for a better first time VRBO experience. Cloudcroft was a wonderful village to explore and the people there are so friendly and welcoming. We loved it. Thanks Tamara for answering all of questions before, during and after our stay.

Very pleasant property. I would have enjoyed it more if the back patio had been cleaned. It was too dirty to sit comfortably out there. All in all it was a great experience and I will return.
