After a hike on the Appalachian Trail, a float down the Shenandoah River, or just a lazy day around the house, kick off your shoes and enjoy the beautiful view with some sweet tea on the porch, or a soak in the clawfoot tub. Dine downtown on Main St., or grill dinner from your garden to table at home (in season). The country life is soo relaxing or adventurous, depending on the day. Don't forget the Caverns, the shops on Main Street, and of course, a campfire under the bright beautiful stars. It's all here, waiting for you. At the Farmhouse, you'll feel like a local.

Amazing house and location! Top 5% we have stayed in. Small touches, authentic feel, Minnie circulating outside along with the ducks, rabbits, and cows heard in the distance. Luray just down the road with fun shops, thrifting, coffee. Best was 45min access to Shenandoah trails that gave million mile views and challenges that create memories. Thanks to Lisa for creating this mountain farmhouse!

We had a wonderful stay in this charming farmhouse. Lisa was top-notch-welcoming, responsive and thoughtful throughout our visit. The farmhouse was beautifully decorated, combining historic charm with comfort and warmth. Every room was spotless and well cared for. The kitchen was full stocked with everything we needed, making meals easy and enjoyable.One of the best parts of the stay was waking up to the stunning mountain views each morning. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area and would absolutely stay here again!

The Farmhouse was absolutely perfect. The house was beautifully renovated and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need, the views are magnificent, it was clean, and my son enjoyed the animals. Lisa was very helpful and friendly. We hope to come back soon!

This was THE PERFECT home base for our mountain vacation. We were close to all the hikes we wanted to do in the Blueridge mountains, plus we were near great biking, horseback riding, the caverns, the river and some great playgrounds. The house was perfect for our large group! It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Our kids loved playing outside and looking at the ducks and cat.

Memorial Day Getaway

Charming spacious farmhouse with modern and welcoming touches including fresh flowers, plenty of extra towels, freshly baked cookies (yum!), toys for kids, beautiful, scenic views. Quiet and relaxing with many amenities provided for a great time. We all enjoyed the ducks and the rabbits, the S’mores and Miss Minnie (the cat.)

Perfect vacation house

The Farmhouse was beautifully restored with large rooms, a wonderful porch, a kitchen equipped for every need, and a table large enough to sit our 8 family members with room left over. My grandchildren loved the big lawn with the provided yard equipment and sprinkler. We all enjoyed the animals and fire pit. Our host was gracious and readily available, and we would love to return some day.

Wonderful farmhouse!

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! Beautiful restoration with easy access to Luray and Shenandoah NP. Communication was easy, the house was more than comfortable and the outdoor house animals made it feel like home! Would absolutely stay again.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, I traveled the world for 20 years as a flight attendant, (living in Chicago, Madrid, London and Florida) before moving to Luray, and quickly realizing that I LOVE the country life. The locals made me feel right at home, and they will for you too. It has been a wonderful journey, fixing up these old farmhouse bones, and I thoroughly enjoy inviting guests to rest awhile and make new memories of their own. Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Farmhouse at the Grove is steeped in history, as the GROVE Family built the house back in 1875, and then later rented it to different farmhands over the years. The GROVE Family still lives very close by today. She now has all the creature comforts for your stay, including a GROVE of trees facing the Blue Ridge Mountains in the back of the property. Morning shade and a stellar view, and you can enjoy a picnic, or read a book for hours. If you love animals, just over the fence are cows grazing, squirrels scampering, birds chirping, and if you're lucky, you may spot the bald eagle from it's nest, down by the creek. I don't take any credit for the amazing view from every room.

Our home is full of old charm, and yet newly renovated with all of the latest amenities. Our views are unmatchable of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and guests of all ages enjoy the ducks, bunnies, and cat that call the Farmhouse home.
