Hurricane Helene Update: The Cozy Cottage survived the hurricane! There are some minor repairs that need to be done but otherwise we are very lucky. There is power, internet, and water at the property and we are accepting reservations.


Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located home! A fabulous space for two people, this cozy cottage is located only 9.3 miles to the heart of downtown Asheville where you can enjoy locally produced food and beer, fun live music, and a vibrant arts scene. This home boasts a thoughtfully updated interior and a back yard with a fire pit. There is plenty to see with Black Mountain's Downtown Historic District or the Blue Ridge Parkway also just a short drive away!

Perfect for one. Quiet and close!

I stayed for 5 nights helping my kid pack up the dorm before coming home for the summer. And I needed to work while I was there. This sweet little home had everything we needed, and nothing we didn’t. It was easy to find, close to Asheville and Black Mountain, quiet, and very comfortable.

I was in town for work. This place is safe, cute and clean. Convenient to highways, shopping and food. Easy check in. Laundry on site. Cute home. I’d stay again.

Everything was clean, comfortable and convenient at this cozy little cottage. It had everything we needed. And it was great to have a washer and dryer. We would recommend it.

Great place.

Clean. Tastefully decorated. Well equipped and stocked. It was wonderful to be able to do laundry! The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a trail or sidewalk for walking. Overall a great stay.

A sweet little house for a long weekend

This little house was such a sweet spot to spend a few days. It was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and opening the sliding glass door in the bedroom to let in the lovely spring air and the sound of dozens of songbirds.The house is very conveniently close to Warren Wilson College, where we were visiting our son and attending a number of events... but it is also just a hop over to Black Mountain and just down the road from Asheville. A great spot to stay near many wonderful places to visit!The host was super helpful and very communicative. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you!!

Extended weekend

I enjoyed a pleasant extended weekend at the cottage. The cottage was just as listed and even had more to offer than expected. The homeowner's provided a home manual before my stay and the same manual was there upon arrival. This made getting a quick trip to the grocery store easy on my 1st night.The directions were easy and the home was comfortable and cozy.It was exactly what i needed for some much needed R&R....Thank you! I cant wait to come back!

Last minute trip 8/1-8/4 2024

What a lovely home! This was a very very clean house with lots of extra touches that made it home. It is so nice to rent a home that has condiments, loved the coffee station & even laundry detergent. Couch was comfy and the blankets even softer. Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend & return! Got to visit the Pretty Place Chapel.✝️

Perfect getaway

We absolutely loved the house. You have everything you need, it was clean and in a good location. It’s a quiet neighborhood and not far from anything. The host was more than accommodating, and very quick to respond. The house is adorable and decorated nicely, it’s also reasonably priced. We would certainly stay there again. 5/5 stars for everything. Having a washer and dryer was great, even detergent was provided. We can’t compliment it enough.

Cozy Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this clean, comfortable cottage in a quiet neighborhood. It had everything you would need - well equipped kitchen, coffee makers (and coffee, too!), laundry room with detergent and softener sheets, shampoo, conditioner and body wash and plenty of towels in the bathroom, comfortable bed. The location was great - close to the Blue Ridge, Asheville, grocery stores and many other local attractions. All you need to bring are your clothes! We had an issue with the TV when we first checked in, but communication with owner/VRBO was excellent! They were able to bring us a new TV the very next day! I would highly recommend this property and if we are in the Asheville area in the future, we would certainly like to stay again!

The property was very cute and well located for our activities in Black Mountain and Pisgah National Forest and Ashville. It was much larger than I had expected.A couple of things:1) The contact phone number on the house instructions form (615-200-7766) took me to a person who is a property manager in Tennessee. Our inbound flight was delayed significantly and I wanted to contact someone to let them know. So, from what I had, there was not way to contact the property owner/manager except through the VRBO site or app. A phone number would have helped for texting.2) The turquoise mailbox has been knocked over so is very difficult to see from the road, especially in poor light or the dark.3) The recent rains had caused the vegetation around the front porch and back yard to be overgrown. A haircut would help.

Perfect Little Retreat

We stayed at this home for a few after our daughter’s wedding to explore the Asheville area. It was perfect for the three of us (college age son). Very well outfitted with extra towels, washcloths, etc. it included some lovely touches like candles, coffee pods, and Brita filter. We even used the full size washer and dryer! The beds were comfy, the heat/air worked great. Nice big TV for enjoying Netflix down time after a busy day of sightseeing. The only thing we wished for was an extra cozy blanket for the single bed. The owner communicated everything in a timely manner and even helped me make some adjustments to my reservation. My only regret is that I didn’t book it for a longer stay! I would highly recommend!

One of the best in the area!

This is one of the coolest vacation rentals we have enjoyed in the area. I was celebrating my 50th birthday and this place was a cozy retreat yet close to all the fun Asheville has to offer. We also love the Swannanoa area! Our daughter will be transferring to UNCA as a junior in Fall 2023, we are looking for housing for her and hope to rent your place again as we work through that transition next year. Thank you for paying attention to all the small details…your place is exceptional!

Fall Break Stay

Great stay! Just 10 minutes from Asheville. I was happy to have enough towels, trash bags, toilet paper, and laundry detergent. Most of the places I have stayed only give you a small amount to get you started and expect t you to buy the rest. So thank you!

Perfect!

We were doing a very short trip to see the Biltmore and just needed a place for an overnight stay. The location was very convenient to the estate as well as places to go eat while we were there. The home was very clean and we had everything we needed. It's a small thing but having forgotten my hairdryer I liked that they provided a very good quality hair dryer. The bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner of very good quality. The owner was very commutative with the the couple of questions I had which I really appreciated. Highly recommend this location. It's very quiet and relaxing.

Excellent location, clean property, owner is a sweetheart

This location is perfect! We always prefer to stay a little outside the city, this is about 10 minutes from either Asheville or Black Mountain. The property was exceptionally clean, with lots of little details to make our stay as enjoyable as possible! We loved the board games available as well! The owner is EXCELLENT at communicating which is a huge bonus and even helped recommend local dinner spots for our anniversary.
