Welcome to Sandy Bottoms, our oceanfront pet friendly coastal house with amazing beach views. Located in Oak Island, one of North Carolina’s best beach towns. Enjoy multiple decks w/ private beach access (100 steps to water). Upstairs has 3BR/2BA, gourmet kitchen, living room & downstairs (not connected inside) has 1BR/1BA, living room, kitchenette. Laundry room w/ washer & dryer. 2 covered & 2 uncovered parking spots.

Come view the magnificent sunrise & sunset from our wraparound decks!

Oak Island Gem

Great property, just as advertised. The home was very comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. The views are beautiful from inside the home, and from the two decks. Our family had a great time and would love to stay here again.

Right on the Beach!

This was a week stay at the Sandy Bottoms House on Oak Island NC. The house was everything we expected. Having a separate living area on the ground floor was perfect for the teen age kids. The interior of the house looked newly renovated and well appointed. The kitchen could have used a few more pots and pans but there were enough to get by. Overall I would recommend this unit to anyone with a family.

Great house and location

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Sandy Bottoms. There is ample parking for all visitors. The house is clean, updated and nicely appointed. The kitchen has everything required to cook a nice home cooked meal with great storage for all pantry and snack items. You also have the ability to connect to the homes Bluetooth sound system which was nice. There are two covered decks that allow for great views of the ocean. The upper deck has a nice gate to allow your furry friend to roam securely. You are mere steps away from beach paradise. Absolutely recommend using one of two outdoor showers(the enclosed one specifically). Nothing better than a rainfall shower while listening to the ocean. Will be booking Sandy Bottoms again!!

Great time in Oak Island

We thought the house and location were great – STEPS from the beach! It had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The owners are very responsive to any questions or concerns. They did a great job of communicating before, during, and after our stay. A suggestion would be to send out the “what to bring/pack” email a week or two in advance of our arrival date to assist in packing/preparing. Also, it would have been helpful to have the ideas for local attractions in advance so we could book accordingly or didn’t miss anything that only occurs on certain days/dates, i.e. local farmers market. One interesting tidbit that we never did figure out – the ceiling fans in the upper level bedrooms can be operated by each other’s remote controls. We share the hilarious memory of one couple unknowingly turning on the other’s ceiling light as the second couple is trying to sleep and vice versa. We couldn’t figure out why the light would “randomly” turn on until the topic came up in conversation. Once tested and verified, we were rolling on the floor laughing while trying to decide which one of us is going to “accidentally” turn on the other’s light!! If you are looking for a little quieter, nicely updated, clean, comfortable place to stay just steps from your toes in the ocean – this is it! We would highly recommend this location and these owners and are looking forward to planning our next trip to Oak Island!!

Peaceful and Relaxing

Sandy Bottom is a charming beach cottage. We have stayed many different places on the island, and this by far has been our favorite. We had a total of four people in our party, and had plenty of room to spare. Our host, Jeff, gave detailed instructions for every possible question which might arrive on your stay. Highly recommend!
