The cabin is on 130 acres of wooded land. There are marked trails. There is also a small creek just a short walk away. The cabin has been renovated and is very cozy. There is a fire pit and picnic table. The deck over looks the woods and has a bench to sit and listen to the birds. The cabin is very private. The cabin is around 150 yards from the road….You will drive on a path through a field and a highly packed dirt road thru the woods to get to the cabin.

Best of Both Worlds: Despite feeling like you're miles away from civilization, it is incredibly close to town. We loved being able to pop out for a quick dinner or grab groceries within minutes, then retreat right back to our private wooded sanctuary.

If you like rustic cabins in a quiet setting this place is ideal. You can sit out by the fire at night and watch deer go by. The cabin is equipped with all the basics needed for your stay. Grocery store and restaurants were ten minutes away.

The cabin was precisely as advertised. Quite lo-tech, which was fine for my needs. Inexpensive next to a lot of overpriced places to stay during the Chautauqua season. Hosts were welcoming and accommodating. An ideal place to get away from it all!

A nice relaxing experience in a cute ristic cabin in the woods.

Enjoyed our time reconnecting with nature. We enjoyed the quiet location unplugged from tv and internet. Would definitely do it again.

This is a great little place tucked back in the woods, perfect for a couple of people to get away and be close to everything Chautauqua has to offer.

My wife and I were looking for a place to escape to on short notice four our 20th anniversary, the cabin, privacy, and forest were perfect. We will definitely come back, Chautauqua is very close, beats any hotel or motel in the area. Hosts were awesome Daryl and Julia

This cabin is a dream.

Hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Cabin is perfectly cozy, with exactly enough to be comfortable. Phone reception was mildly decreased, which was perfect for not falling into the phone but still being somewhat connected. Nestled in the trees, just far enough from the neighboring houses. We felt safe, even when our only light came from the fire pit. We missed our birding field guide, but enjoyed the various winged visitors all the same. Before we headed home, we stopped at the shore - max 10 minutes drive. Grateful for this getaway!

Not as listing suggests

I love camping! But for this trip, I was expecting a secure and clean cabin in the woods. The listing does not state that you must drive through a field and onto a dirt trail into the woods to arrive at the cabin. When I shook out the bed sheets, dead bugs were in the bed and an abnormal amount of Moths were landing on us while we were trying to sleep. We stayed one night out of three and when I contacted the host she stated, yes there are bugs in the woods, have a safe trip home”. I had to pack up myself and two small children on the 4th of July because the cabin wasn’t fit to stay in. Dirty, buggy, and hot. Don’t book this cabin!

If you’re not camping people then this place is not for you. A cabin in the woods will have bugs, there’s no way to prevent that. If we could we most definitely would. We have installed a bug light to catch them and it’s helped quite a bit. We spend a lot of time cleaning our cabin and have very good reviews on both sites. Prius we have returned guests. Sorry you didn’t like the camping experience.

This was THE BEST CABIN IN THE WOODS! I have been to other cabins but this was the best! It was secluded, private, and in the middle of the woods. No TV, no BS! The hosts did a great job of having a great place with clean sheets and towels, what else could you want? Yes there were a few bugs, but it’s in the woods, what do you expect? It’s about 2 hours from Niagara Falls if you want to go you have plenty of time to go for the day and be back in time for s’mores around the campfire. Don’t look for a Starbucks there isn’t one for 20 miles. The coffee has to be made old school on the stove in a percolator pot because the cabin doesn’t have enough electric service to support a coffee maker. So suck it up and deal with it for a few days. This is truly a GREAT PLACE TO STAY! The nights were beautiful and the days were even better. We cooked over the fire and played cards and games outside on the picnic table. Hot water for showers and a flushing toilet. No neighbors and distractions unless you bring them.
