Be our guests at Rambling Waters in this fabulous, sophisticated vacation retreat in the foothills of the NC Smokey Mountains. This upscale vacation home on 5 wooded acres is beautifully appointed and extremely well stocked with every guest’s needs in mind - from the youngest to the most senior member of your group.

Whether late afternoon grilling on the expansive shaded deck, or gathering for a lively holiday dinner in the great room, you'll have everything you need to prepare a festive celebration in style. The upper level deck offers scenic views in casual elegance with outdoor dining, lounging, and conversation areas, and even a private seating area outside the Ma BR. Your lower level deck (with paralleled views) provides you with a "hang zone": a gravity chair and some good old-fashioned Adirondacks.

The moody rec room is another great chill-out area with a second stone fireplace, smart TV, its own bar w/ seating for 4, a mini-fridge for your cocktail mixers and snacks, a MW, and of course, a game area. Whether enjoying your happy hour playing poker, gin rummy or Uno, your mountain and Frog Pond views still surround you. Perfect for families traveling together who need a little down-time space.

You'll never feel "stuck" inside on a rainy day with Harrah's Casino / Bowling Alley just 10 min. away; or choose from the plethora of books, games, and puzzles, including checkers/chess, mini-pool and indoor bowling.

Early birds catch some stunning pink/orange mountain sunrises from the great room and decks. While nighttime s'mores around the fire pit at Frog Pond give everyone something to look forward to before bed, and the stargazing here is amazing!

Lovely property

This was our second visit to the cabin. It is so peaceful yet close to town. Host is very responsive and ensures all details are handled. I recommed this listing 100%.

Beautiful cabin with lovely views

This cabin was just as shown and was very well stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed our annual family gathering here. Many pretty sights are within an easy day trip from this location, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, GA, many great scenic drives. The leaves were peak and the weather was perfect!

Wonderful stay

We loved this place! It was as nice as the photos. We loved having morning coffee on the wrap around porch. Very picturesque. I hated to leave. I wish we could have stayed there more days. We were in the area for a wedding. If we ever get in this area again this would be my first choice of places to stay.

My daughter’s wedding

This place was beautiful, clean and very spacious. We were in Murphy for my daughter’s wedding and we had rented 3 houses for our family. The other two didn’t work out and we had to send people to hotels. We were so thankful w this place.

Comfortable, well-stocked property

Multigenerational family stay for a long weekend. Accommodations were outstanding. with comfortable furnishings and well-stocked supplies. We enjoyed the family room and the teenagers enjoyed their privacy downstairs. It was conveniently located for dining in Murphy and breweries in Hayesville. We hope to return.

Home away from home.

Beautiful property puts it mildly. Everything about this place from the driveway to the kitchen table leaves nothing but lasting memories. A wonderful way to blend two families into one. Unforgettable.

Columbus Day weekend

Outstanding house. Excellent appointments, decor, and more. Could not have been better. Location was not secluded and quiet due to being so close to the highway so we could not enjoy our outdoor time at the property. Otherwise, a great house to stay at.

Great Stay at Rambling Waters

Our family had a wonderful stay at Rambling Waters! The home was beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything you could think of. There was plenty of parking for our trailer… we brought our motorcycles to ride the nearby Smokies, Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway…beautiful fall colors! Location was also great and easily accessible. The only downfall was the road noise from the nearby highway. We will definitely book again!

Beautiful getaway.

Beautiful getaway that is nice and quiet for a family vacation. The first time we visited this home my wife and family loved it so much that we had to book it a second time. The kids loved the out door fire with s’mores and getting to slow down and catch up from our busy lives. We went to a few parks for some hiking while enjoying the beauty of nature. Went to Cherokee, and Gatlinburg with even more beautiful views along the way. My family definitely recommends this vacation getaway.

Best house ever!

This property was fantastic! The pictures don't do it justice. The owners have thought of everything. We loved that they had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Bedding felt awesome. The small touches mean a lot-they left books about the area, list of places to visit, great games for kids and basket of supplies if you forgot something like bug spray! The view from the deck was so beautiful! Thanks for sharing your home- we will be back!

Would definitely stay at this house again. Beautiful house and stunning appointments. I will email the owner re cleaning staff provided by Vrbo. All my communication was with the owner, not the property manager. The owner was very responsive to my questions. Communicating with the owner was the icing on the cake! July 21-23, 2023

A magical place.

The stay was wonderful, the house is in a magical place, the cleanliness is spectacular, we spent spectacular days, we enjoyed having the fireplace on and watching television, it was super relaxing, the children enjoyed running around, the only inconvenience we had was that the grill did not work, we were notified just upon arriving and it was not possible to fix it and we could not make the food we had to prepare there, the communication with the office regarding the door code did not have a timely response until the next day. We would definitely choose it again.

Amazing Property

This house has it all! Everything you can possibly need at your fingertips. Other rentals lock closets and personal belongings up, this house doesn’t and it feels so welcoming. Plenty of space to spread out, the finished basement is perfect! The bathrooms are huge! Every detail has been thought about, step stools for kids, every cooking item you could need, two sets of washing machines. They’ve thought of it all and it is just as advertised. I imagine this town is busy in the summer with rafting but it was very quiet in the winter. Walmart and food store close by. Drive to Smoky Mtns is about an hour for hiking. Owners are quick to respond to any emails as is property manager. It was the perfect spot to get together with family and stay a few days.

Nice place to escape the rush.

Celebrated my 50th birthday with family so just wanted a nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The home was impeccably clean and well appointed. Has everything (and then some) we would need for a multi-day stay. The kids loved the downstairs space, which thankfully gave us adults a chance to talk without constant interruptions. The pond was a nice feature to have a campfire by. The views of the mountains were a pleasant view each day. The kids enjoyed looking for all the frogs as the croaked at dusk. It was nice not having other people around us. The only cons I can think of is there is highway noise that can be heard and the upstairs beds could be a bit more comfortable. Otherwise, everything was absolutely AMAZING. Bob was communicative and welcoming.The management company was equally responsive. A+. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Good last minute rental

We had a last-minute cancellation on another Vrbo, 6 days before arrival for a wedding weekend. This was only one of a handful of places available that fit our needs. So overall good last-minute pick. Pros: - Well furnished house with ample bed space and room to be together or wonder off separately - Comfy beds and lounging area - Kitchen was perfect with well-stocked utensils/cooking and baking items and some basics like sugar and spices. - The 3/4 wrap-around double deck was wonderful with a pretty view off in the distance Cons:: - Check-out time was advertised on Vrbo as 11 am, but the management company's separate email and the in-house manual said 10 am. - Hot water in the showers lasted only 5 minutes (not great when it's a full house and all 3 showers are going at the same time to get ready for a wedding) - The location was just off the highway so a little noisy but had good insulation so not really an issue inside much. - The listing said accessibility, and while the main floor had a great wheelchair and disability access in the bathrooms and the layout, there's no ramp to get into the house. Just a flight of stairs and a mud driveway (not suitable for a wheelchair or walking aids). - The management company wanted a copy of our driver's licenses, which seemed sketchy. Suggestions: Jacuzzi :)

Wonderful Property

Really great property in Marble. Clean, well stocked, comfortable and spacious! Lovely grounds, with pond and fire-pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
