The Barn: a Trinidad home in the redwoods with privacy and hot tub.

This private home feels secluded yet is just minutes from downtown Trinidad and local beaches. The master bedroom has black out curtains and is perfect for a deep restful sleep. The master bath is custom built with a deep tub for relaxing and a dual standup shower for a luxury spa feeling. The kitchen is fully equip for all of your cooking desires and Humboldt County is known for its great organic local produce. This home has a large deck complete with comfortable outdoor seating, two rocking chairs , and a new 6 person hot tub that looks out over a redwood grove. Relax and enjoy your vacation while you can hear the sounds of our year round creek. We are lucky to have Arcata airport, Mckinleyville, Arcata and Cal Poly Humboldt all within a 15 min drive south and the Redwood National Park is only 35 min north. This 5 acre property gives you the feel of being alone in the woods yet it is close to everything.

Loved staying here! The property is in a great location with plenty of room for our family of four. Coffee in the morning on the deck, picking blackberries, and exploring the creek behind the house were highlights. It’s a very peaceful place.It feels secluded but is less than a 5 minute drive to town.

Lush and green and cozy.

Large kitchen and living space made our stay comfortable and functional. Close to town and amenities. Surrounded by trees and beauty! 5 stars for sure!

Christmas Get Away

We enjoyed a lovely holiday at The Barn. Exploring Trinidad was a highlight and the hot tub was great. We found the host fee a bit steep but the host was very helpful.

Beautiful vacation retreat!

Our family of 4 enjoyed this comfy tucked away vacation retreat while we hiked the Redwoods! The hot tub was a welcome treat after a long day of hiking. Comfy beds, quiet, and private home!

Great home base for visiting the beaches in Trinidad and the Redwoods. We are a family of 4 with little kids, the house is well set up for cooking meals and eating in. The hot tub is great and the property is very peaceful. Our kids counted 40 banana slugs around the yard one morning and we were visited by deer a few times! The house is cozy and well decorated, so we had to move some stuff out of reach and do a bit of baby proofing which we expected. The host is very responsive and welcoming. Overall a great place for a family vacation and definitely recommend!

The house was perfect for our family and friends. Kitchen is well equipped and the grounds are well kept. Communication with host was superb. Can’t wait to visit her other properties.

Majestic Retreat!

This property is truly magical! You actually get to stay in the forest with redwoods right out your door! Five stars is not enough for the host or the property! This was our second trip for the second year in a row and we definitely plan on coming again!

Beautiful Sanctuary

This home is a gem in the forest. If you are looking for a comfortable place to retreat and be with friends and or family- this home is it. It had everything we needed and more. The home was clean. The decor was reflective of the local culture and the amenities were on point. I rented this home for my bridal party to stay in for my wedding. It was a perfect home-away-from-home.

This property was truly Majestic!!! There are no real words to describe it... it is only 5 minutes away from anything you could need but when you're there it feels like you're a million miles away from the world!!!

Tranquil heaven

This location is a tranquil haven. The setting is perfectly situated. We enjoyed the secluded atmosphere surrounded by redwoods. The host's generosity in accommodating our pets was a delightful touch. Nevertheless, the water quality posed a concern, exhibiting a dark red/brown hue and an overwhelming sulfur smell, which I am allergic to. Had we known about this issue beforehand, we would not have made the booking. The bathtub, a key factor in our decision to book, regrettably went unused. Apart from the water issue, the property's location ensured a fantastic vacation.

Clean, cozy, private and perfect location!

Loved our stay at the barn! The house was very clean, with plenty of room. Great communication with the host to ensure we arrived safely and had everything we needed... which we did. The location was private with plenty of redwoods, fruit trees, plants and flowers. Beautiful setting! The house was also centrally located to all the beaches and trails we wanted to visit with the little town of Trinidad nearby including a gas station, grocery store, restaurants, and gift shops. We looked forward to the hot tub every night after our days exploring the area. This was our first trip out to the California coast and if we ever make it out that way again, we would definitely book this spot again!

Great rental near Trinidad CA

This was an amazing rental! It might be a challenge finding it at night, but worth it! House is very comfortable and host was great. The location is off the beaten path, but wonderful location with the feeling of being in the forest of Humboldt. There was a stream running next to the property and could be heard at night. The house was well equipped and the jacuzzi was wonderful after a day of hiking. Definitely will be my go-to location when traveling to Humboldt. Property is a short drive to Trinidad...lovely town with a grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend this place.

Nothing Short of Heaven on Earth

So much can be said about this property. For starters, the location can't be beat. Nestled into a forest grove, it feels enchanted from the moment you pull up. Everything is lush and green and very well cared for. The house itself is filled with charm and good vibes. As soon as my wife and I walked through the door, we felt at ease and at home. The property owner (Michelle) is super responsive and friendly. There was no question that was not promptly answered. This will be our new vacation spot. You can't beat the region (redwoods at your doorstep and the ocean a mere mile away), and we felt so at home. Cannot recommend staying here enough.

Beautiful Cabin

We loved every single bit of this beautiful cabin and wished we could have stayed longer. Minor feedbacks: We couldn't find things that we needed as the drawers in kitchen are not labeled so we had to go through every single drawer or cabinet. We were told the regular simple materials were in the cabin, however did not find napkins. We had to use toilet paper temporarily while we were eating and then had to go down the store again to get napkins. We've gone to redwood during winter and spring and stayed in other cabins before this one so we didnt really expect the weather to be extremely hot. It's understandable though since it is summer but the room in the second floor was really hot even during the night. We couldn't have the windows open as not all or any windows have window springs. If we were to open it all bugs would have came in. Thankfully, Vanessa who works for Michelle had an extra fan that was hers. Overall, we loved this cabin.
