Beautiful, bright, spacious1000 square foot one bedroom guest house within walking distance to the beach. We are conveniently located between Arcata and Eureka and just a short distance to the redwoods. Our guest house has a private yard and entrance perfect for a relaxing visit to the coast. The beach is about a 10 minute walk through the dunes and opens up to a secluded beach that goes for miles.

This was our last step on a two week long California coastal road trip. It was very lovely so close to the beach to be able to walk and walk and walk for miles was fantastic!

Overnight stay with lasting memories

The location was a bit off the beaten path, but a short walk to the dunes made it one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. The accommodations were exactly as described. Thank you for hosting us!

Great bungalow!

Super comfy, clean and impressively decorated bungalow. Met our needs as we were looking for a stay over for a long road trip down the coast from Oregon to Sacramento. Allison was great in accommodating a special request for us and communicated all pertinent info throughout the process. Close to Manila Dunes where you can take a short hike to the beach where you literally have miles of beach to mostly yourself. The owners have put a lot of effort into making this place comfortable and charming. Some things to note: The neighborhood feels kind of rural and you are a 10 minute drive from town out on the peninsula. The unit itself is a detached (and fenced) space with a main home on the property. The hike to the beach is about 10 minutes through loose sand so get your beach shoes and be ready for some moderate effort. All in all a great stay for us, especially related to the quality of the finishes in the bungalow and the attentiveness to our needs by the owners.

We adored this property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We needed a breather away from everyday life and certainly got that here. We will definitely look to return when we want to getaway again! Thank you to the hosts.

Short but sweet

We had had a long drive and crazy weather so the space and warmth of this unit was most welcoming after our long day. We picked up some yummy food from the co op and the perfect kitchen allowed us to warm up and toast our items so a comforting meal. Bed and bedding were super cozy and I just loved all of the creative pieces Allison had in her home to admire or actually purchase. Inspired me to get cracking on projects myself. Thanks for the stay and we will return!

Wonderful property!

My dog and I spent one night here and we both loved it. The bedroom has a skylight, so it feels like you are sleeping under the stars... The pictures do not do this place justice! I could go on and on about all the little details: popcorn popper, creuset coffee mugs, French press, helpful binder for area activities, large washer and dryer, but you would have to see it for yourself to appreciate it. Creates a feeling of peace & serenity.

Wonderful Spot for North Coast Exploration.

The bungalow was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the secluded path through the dunes to the beach. The bungalow is ideally located for visits to the Ma-Le’l Dunes (which are definitely worth seeing) and a half hour south of Trinidad (very good tide pools in College Cove) and an hour and a half from Crescent City. It was the perfect base camp for taking advantage of the northern coast and a nice spot to relax after days of hiking and beach combing. We will definitely stay again if in the area. Beautiful bungalow with everything we needed.

Surpassed our expectations

Sweet well appointed cottage with a spa feel, just steps from the beach. We loved how quiet and spacious it was. The photos don't do it justice. Lovely little garden area inside the fenced yard with ample privacy. We visited several of the suggested eateries and the Finish hot tubs (highly recommend). Great guide! Would definitely book again if we to return to the area!

Lovely private beach getaway

This property is well-appointed, so clean, spacious, and a short walk to the beach. I have mobility issues but was able to walk to the seemingly endless beach, and I was so grateful for that privacy and quiet. My husband and I stayed three nights and could easily have stayed a third. Eureka and Arcata have a lot to offer and we hope to be back. Thank you!

Blissful Beach Bungalow-Highly Recommended!

This Beach Bungalow is truly Blissful! The owners are artists and have put a lot of creative energy into the space which thanks to several well-placed skylights, has plenty of light. The kitchen is well stocked the bed linens are quite luxurious. A short walk over the dunes will take you to a beautiful broad beach that stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions. My partner and I spent two nights here and we wish we had booked a third!! Our stay was peaceful and rejuvenating.
