Vimala Voga Retreat House- Beach Access- Arcata

Vimala Voga is filled with natural light, treasures from around the world, and all the amenities to make yourself feel at home. Walk through our private garden into a space that has been thoughtfully decorated with love. Our master bedroom has a California King bed with organic mattress and the second bedroom has a Queen with a desk for remote workers to enjoy. We are a one minute walk to a trail that leads to the dunes. The beach is 10 minutes from our door step through the dunes. Please note there are other rentals in the property on one side. The yards are completely private and each have their own access.

Everything was excellent - cleanliness, the house had everything we needed, and the hosts were very communicative. A short walk to the beach, a quick drive to Arcata and Eureka. Highly recommend the Vimala Voga Retreat house!

An excellent stay in a clean relaxing cottage with a private fenced yard. A 10 minute walk through the sand dunes brings you to the beach. Always love my stay here and will stay again.

The house that we rented was just delightful, and we were pleasantly surprised that the published photos didn't do it justice! The housekeeping was very clean, and the energy of the entire property was very clean and clear as well. The inside was so warming and comfortable, with a kitchen that was totally stocked. Allison must be an artist, as the arrangements of so many items in the house were so creatively displayed. We also enjoyed the plants and flora grown in the very private yard. We had a wonderful time, and wished that we could have stayed longer!

Wow, what a wonderful retreat. It was such a lovely home. I cannot begin to describe how beautiful the morning sunlight through those skylights is. We needed a break from everything and this was just perfect. We had everything we needed. I tend to overpack in case Vrbos don't have certain supplies but we had everything we needed and more.

The Vimala Voga Retreat House is so nice! It's quiet, clean and so comfortable. My favorite part is probably the skylights that bring in so much warmth and natural light, even on a cloudy day. It is close to a little path that takes you to the dunes and beach. It is dog friendly which is a huge bonus for those of you with furry friends. I appreciate the large kitchen and washer/dryer for convenience. I would defnitely stay here again!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Arcata. The communication with the host was great - timely and accurate. The walk to the beach is easy, and the views on the beach are amazing! It's a short drive to the Redwoods where we enjoyed our hikes.
We really enjoyed the beach at night.

Had a plumbing problem the last day of our stay but Alex and the water department fixed the problem and I was able to take a shower before we left. Besides that we had a great time

Great, cozy place, peaceful and quiet. Our 2 yr old and dog really enjoyed the place, and the proximity to the beach and town. Will definitely enjoy visiting again!

This house was so charming and comfortable. The kitchen is HUGE and the beds are super comfortable. The location near the beach is really nice for a stroll and nearby Eureka has many tasty options for food. The laundry units looked new-ish but the dryer looked not in good shape on the inside --- hopefully the owner can address this. :) But overall --- A lovely location and would definitely visit again.

Very nice house it was super cute, I would definitely go back a million times if I could. Walking to the beach was not bad at all not to far away it was a very nice. House has everything you need and yummy coffee too! The front yard is a very cute garden. All around it was a very nice stay would recommend to anyone wanting to stay.

Lovely retreat!

This beautiful, cozy home was perfect for our trip to the Arcata area. We were literally steps from the dunes and beach! Our hosts provided a clean, nicely appointed and cozy home which we thoroughly enjoyed. We definitely recommend it and will come back some day!

Paradise

A beautiful, well maintained property. It was well decorated. It had all the kitchen appliances I needed to enjoy my stay. The fenced garden that the dogs could run around in was an added bonus. The delightful path directly to the beach was the final touch. This was the perfect weekend getaway. We will definitely be back.

Major Privacy & Safety Warning!This is a very small property that has had its driveway and back porch taken over by two large airstream trailers. You will likely have strangers sharing very tight space with you. If you have health, privacy, or safety concerns due to the other occupants and choose not to stay you will not be refunded.If any trailer campers smoke anything outside you will be sharing with them. They are so close the smoke will enter and linger in this little unairconditioned space that relies on open windows for ventilation. If they smoke heavily, you won’t be able to see clearly even inside. I experienced this firsthand.The first airstream is off the house’s back porch, a mere handful of feet from you no matter where you are in the house. There is a sliding glass door that separates the two units. This double wide glass door is covered by a sheet which upon arrival you are asked not to open for the privacy of the airstream tenants. The only bathroom in the house has windows in the shower that face right into this airstream and worst of all vice/versa. While showering or using the toilet every sound is shared between these neighbors, because they are only feet away. The second bedroom of the house’s windows also share the same problem. The second airstream is behind a wooden fence that partitions the driveway from the front yard. The front door is generously twenty paces from this trailer and its occupants.I recommend thinking twice about staying here.
