This second floor suite is newly renovated and newly decorated with an upscale, trendy vibe. The property is located on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island, and is right next to Acadia National Park! You are within minutes of restaurants, trails, and all of the amenities.
Have coffee on this treetop deck! Walk to breakfast nearby, get an early hike in,
or drive to downtown Bar Harbor for the touristy experience. You are in the right place!

The Space:
This second floor apartment has a queen sized bed, and lots of space and natural light. The gorgeous bathroom with a tub/shower is an ensuite off of the bedroom. The living room and kitchen are open, and ready for your home cooked meals. If you would like to use the sofa bed, there are extra linens for the kids or that extra guest. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and dishes. There is a smart TV, internet, and an AC for those warmer days. You will love being so close to hiking, restaurants and the quaint village of Southwest Harbor.

The apartment is conveniently located on Mount Desert Island to explore Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor (20-25 minute drive). Although it's on a major road, it was quiet. The bathroom was small but clean and well appointed (good water pressure in the shower).However, when we arrived the bedding in the master bedroom hadn't been changed and the space behind the sofa couch was dirty. There were also only 3 chairs in the apartment and a limited number of available glasses and cutlery. Overall the apartment is too small to comfortably accommodate 4 people (we were 2 adults and 2 children). The ceilings are very low and it's quite dark inside. The host promptly responded to our complaints and brought a change of bedding. When we arrivedTo sum up, the apartment would be suitable for 2 people for a short-term stay (max. 2 days), if you plan to eat out most of the time.

Acadia Adventure

We had a wonderful time staying here at the property. The place was clean, the check-in process was simple, the bed was actually really nice. I've stayed at a bunch of places and this bed was one of the softest; you know when you've had to sleep on a rock how important that is.The road was a little noisy outside but that was really only an issue once it hit around 8 am, and I'm awake before that regardless. I also don't count that as a strike against the property, it is what it is, but should still be said.Overall would stay again.

Great Base for Acadia

Great place to stay to explore Mount Desert Island. Easy walking distance to restaurants in Southwest Harbour as well.

Acadia Suites

This cute and comfortable apartment is perfect for two people. It is clean, nicely furnished and well stocked. The location is wonderful--a quick walk to restaurants and town --as well as being in beautiful Southwest Harbor and near some spectacular views. A great find!!!

Comfy Nest in a Great Location

We felt very cozy in this apartment. One thing that should be pointed out is that it is 17 steps up a very steep set of stairs that are so narrow you have to walk up and down with sideways feet. Other than that it was comfortable and all worked well.

Acadia vacation

We used the property as a base for hiking in Acadia and it was perfect. Southwest Harbor is a lovely little town - much quieter than Bar Harbor but with easy access to everything. The kitchen was great - much better fitted out than a lot of places, with lots of pots and pans and everything you might need. We'd definitely stay here again. Also the manager was extremely responsive.

Great location

This place is in an excellent location, close to so many things to do but out of the hubbub of busy Bar Harbor. This upstairs apartment is cute and with a little attention could be perfect. It had nearly everything we needed (and Susan quickly arranged to have missing pillows delivered). Upon our arrival, the space smelled musty due to it being a warm day and all the windows closed and a/c turned off. A good airing out before guests arrive would help. The sofa bed mattress was really lumpy, but tbh, I’ve never found a sofa bed that was comfy. The sheets on the main bed also smelled musty. The towel rack in the bathroom was pulled out of the wall. Also, it would be helpful if the parking spaces were marked (#1,#2,#3) because there are three separate units sharing the three parking spaces. A couple of times the guests staying in the back unit parked behind our car making it difficult to get out of our space. None of these issues were insurmountable, and for the price, this place worked well for us. My daughter and I had a lovely stay in Southwest Harbor. Highlights: -Lunch at the Travelin’ Lobster -Drinks and snacks at Bowsprit Bar at The Harbour Cottage Inn -Dinner at Peter Trout’s Tavern (that fish sandwich!!!) -Coffee and bagels at Milagro Coffee -Found starfish at Tidal Falls Preserve -Cadillac Summit drive -Cider Tasting at Bon Vent -Wonderland Trail hike -Charlotte Rhoades Butterfly Garden

Stay on the quiet side!

This is a great base from which to explore all of Acadia NP and Mount Desert Island. Southwest Harbor is small but charming—unlike busy Bar Harbor, which is still only ~20 minutes away. The suite is perfect for a couple, and quite comfortable. Only issue is that the road is a bit busier than we expected, but during the day when you’re out having fun it’s not a concern, and at night we just shut the windows, turned on the fan and AC, and slept quite comfortably. All in all, definite recommend.

Comfy attic-like apartment

Very comfy bed, nice living area. Very small table, but we made it work for meals. Be prepared to climb quite a number of very steep exterior stairs to get in & out of the unit. Didn’t put garbage outside as the barrels were o reflowing & crows were scattering trash.

Quaint Place on Quiet Side of Island (Acadia)

Overall, a quaint place to stay if you want to enjoy the quieter side of Acadia. You do still have road noise - so make sure to check if windows are open. Also, I did not realize that no tables / foldable tv trays were no available. So, it did make it more challenging. Another thing is I am used to some amount of coffee being provided besides the coffee maker. The location is very good and you can walk to some local restaurants and shops that very good and fun to go to.

Nice little apartment in Southwest Harbor that makes a great location to explore Acadia NP and short drive to Bar Harbor. Would definitely book again if we return.

A great apartment to stay in during our visit to Acadia. Nicely painted and decorated. Plenty of room. Nice, comfortable bed. Great little deck for relaxing after a long hike.

Cute VRBO

Cute & clean place close to Acadia National park! The place had everything we needed except a hairdryer and ironing board. It is in a good location.
