Safe and simple, stay in this private, centrally-located screen free cottage, it's all yours. Resting on 14 acres right in town with walking trails, an award winning working furniture shop on site, it is less than a half mile from the D Day Memorial. The bedroom has a full size bed and the main living space has a twin bed and additional full size pull out couch. The kitchen is equipped to cook all of your meals. Blue Ridge Parkway, Smith Mountain Lake, Lynchburg, Roanoke are all close by. Please join us.

It was the perfect location for us to visit the National WWII Memorial, The Bedford Boys Tribute and Poplar Forest. It was quiet and convenient.

Quiet and quaint

Such a cute little cabin. My mother sister and I stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect for us! We stayed around the area the firat day and it was only 30min drive to Lynchburg! Definitely suggest it if you're looking for a relaxing time

We enjoyed our stay thanks. Recommend for consideration when able to create a more permanent enclosure for bathroom or even a curtain for privacy. Bathroom fan recommended. Otherwise a cute little place and worked out well. Blessings!

Easy Access to Town

Well set up kitchen, clean, close to town. Met the owner by accident. Told her I liked the guest house, but wished I could have called her to let her know we received a package for her. Left it at a building across the street only because an empty envelope was there with the same address. Trued to

Clean Rustic Space

This is a clean, tidy and friendly rustic rental. The kitchen only has a mini fridge. The bathroom doesn't have a door. The property is a bit hard to find, look for the sign to the Yoga Studio. One private bedroom other sleeping spaces are open spaces. Overall a pleasant stay especially if you need a clean pleasant place to sleep and have plans for the day.

Beware - no wifi

The listing did not mention wifi. I didn’t think about it until I needed to work after arriving. My hotspot wouldn’t work because this is a concrete house. The window unit was not on so there was a musty smell. The second day was much better after allowing the unit to run.

Not Limited mobility friendly

The front deck and stairs have no hand or guard rails. The bath is tight. My spouse fell/tripped twice without injury. The passage (no door) is about 24" wide. The distance from the front of the toilet to the lip of the shower is about 12". This is a trip hazard. The shower cover/curtain does not prevent water from leaking on the 2 open sides. We expected to stay 6 nights. We checked in Saturday and out Sunday (one night) because of the trip hazards and access issues (no hand or guard rails). I know they are within their rights to keep the entire payment for all 6 nights, and they did. This has put me completely off VRBO.

Would not recommend

I rented this property for a week over Thanksgiving holiday and we arrived on Sunday night. Too tired to do much but go to bed we slept. The queen bed is hard as a rock. I had already decided that I would go that morning and get a bed topper to make the bed more comfortable. Got up that morning and got in the shower and hot water only lasted about two minutes. I contacted the property owner and was told that they have never received a complaint about the hot water before. My husband tried taking a shower about an hour after me and encountered the same issue. Property owners husband came and said that there is hot water. I explained that the water gets hot but only lasts for a few minutes. I decided that I could not stay a week without a shower and rented a hotel for the week. Vbro and the property manager both refused any kind of refund. I will not use vbro again. I have rented multiple times from VRBO but after seeing how you are treated when you have an issue I will not ever be using again.

Cozy, Clean, Simple

Three of us (my son, his girlfriend, and I) stayed in this guest cottage for five days/nights. The cottage was freshly and tastefully renovated and was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Loved the linens on my bed. Although the bathroom has built-in privacy because of its location in the house, it took us by surprise that there was no door. That worked okay for us but might not work for all combinations of guests. Also, the acreage has several buildings on it, so it is not a secluded setting in that sense. Altogether we thoroughly enjoyed staying here and give a strong recommendation.

Simple, no frills, comfortable

Nice furniture, nice linens, comfortable beds. Very clean. You might like to know that the bathroom is tucked away, around a corner and out of sight, but it has no door.
