Base of Lassen National Park Secluded 1 BR + LOFT, 2 BATH HOME. sleeps up to 7

This is a comfortable and clean 1 bedroom + loft home nestled in the woods with soaring ceilings and a picturesque floor to ceiling windows for nature lovers. There is a wood burning stove in the great room with wood we provide. We have central air and heating as well. We have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need for cooking and dining including range/oven, large fridge, dishwasher and microwave. All new! Pots, pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, blender, air fryer, mixer etc! There are two full bathrooms, a large master bedroom with a king and a twin bed, and an upstairs loft with 2 queen beds. We also have 2 of the most comfortable leather sofas ever!

The large 2+ acre property is surrounded by mature pines, cedars and oaks. Friendly deer pass through several times a day. Watch the squirrels as they run and play amongst the trees. Complete peace and quiet! No traffic! No noise but the crickets and the frogs!

There is a large covered patio area with a barbecue and dining set for grilling and relaxing with friends and family. Also, a fire pit & several shady picnic areas for eating and relaxing.

There is a store in town (Reeds Market) with everything you could possibly need, from hardware to hot dogs! They have it all, including a dine-in deli serving hot meals.

Take time to kick back and relax after a day of hiking in majestic Lassen Park. Go to nearby Lake McCumber and fish! Go to Burney and see the breathtaking Burney falls! Or, just come to enjoy the beautiful peace and quiet. You wont be sorry! The quiet beauty will have you longing to stay forever!

With dependable starlink for internet you can attend to business as usual on the WiFi or catch up on your shows on one of the 3 large internet tv’s. With all the privacy and seclusion you could want while keeping all the modern luxuries we are all accustomed too.

This was such a great place, one of our favorites cabins ever. Beautiful place back in the woods and a short drive to Lassen NP. Great little amenities that made us feel right at home...we loved the attention to detail with the small little snacks and such. There is a convenience store in Shingletown that has basic supplies, also a cafe at Manzanita Lake. Thanks!

Very comfortable and cozy stay in an amazing property. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay. Getting to the house was simple and very accessible from the highway. Large and spacious house in the woods with a fire pit that we all enjoyed while we took night photography at the night. The best part is that the house is so close to Lassen so we were able to explore the park to our heart’s content. Internet was fast and reliable too.

Nice place and quiet

Check in was simple. We loved that the kitchen cabinets and drawers were labeled making it easy to find kitchen items. Had a group of deer come through the yard with two fawns. Was nice to watch them.

Excellent Home

This house had it all! We had ages 5 to 63 staying here and everyone was extremely pleased with the home. It was well stocked with everything you need. The kids loved the board games and sporting equipment. The adults loved the relaxing patio area! The location was convenient to Lassen NP. The owners have considered everything for a comfortable stay and made it truly feel like you were at home.

A great getaway place!

The cabin is very clean, cozy and extremely well stuffed. We find everything we need for a short stay. The hosts are very thoughtful and welcoming. Messages to the hosts are replied fast. The internet is fast. Can't think of a better place than this for a getaway.

Unfortunately, a fire at Lassen park prevented us from staying at the house. The owners were very communicative and prompt in helping is get a refund.

Beautiful clean home nestled in the woods. Very quiet and peaceful. Every morning while having coffee on the patio dear would stroll through the property. Comfortable beds. Great communication with owner. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful Cabin, everything you need!

We really enjoyed our stay at Stacy and Cyndee’s cabin! It was beautifully-decorated and well-equipped, truly a home away from home. Everything was very clean and in amazing and excellent condition—the furniture, bedding, cookware, dinnerware, even the walls and doors looked brand new! Since it was too hot to be outside (we stayed during the July 4th heat wave), we spent most of our non-Lassen time enjoying the air conditioning and playing board games. Our children had a blast! There were also many thoughtful additions that made the stay so pleasant, from the welcome treats and access to extra towels and bathmats/bedding, to the plentiful chargers throughout, and—separate Bluetooth speakers for inside and outside! Cyndee was also very responsive throughout our reservation process, and as we checked in for our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin!

Beautiful and renewing stay

This is a very beautiful place set in the woods. This was the perfect place for our getaway for a special anniversary. Every amenity was so thoughtful and really arranged for total relaxation. We enjoyed our coffee by the outdoor fireplace every day. The trail guides and maps were a lifesaver. We are coming back soon

Wonderful place to stay and relax!

We had the best stay at this house! It was so welcoming and cozy. When we got there, music was on for us, a basket of snacks on the counter and a bottle of wine. We've never had that anywhere else we've stayed. Shelly and her husband were just the best!! It was my husbands birthday and she made him his favorite cake. Shelly was always available to answer questions. We loved having the deer visit every day and feeding them graham crackers. A first! We were sad to leave. Wonderful house. 💗

Beautiful and secluded

This property is beautiful and peaceful. The owners provided anything and everything we needed. Especially since there were no restaurants open in the area in the evening for dining. Luckily, we were able to pick up groceries and the owners had everything we needed to cook.

Great Home and Property

We had an awesome stay here. The house is clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. There is a ton of privacy here. Although you are in a neighborhood, you can’t see or hear anybody. The deer come by everyday to say hi. Location is fantastic. About 15 minutes to Lassen NP. 5 minutes to a market and gas station in Shingletown. Burney Falls was beautiful and well worth the drive of a little over an hour. We had an amazing time hiking and fishing during our stay. Highly recommend.

Amazing property

The house was amazingly clean and had everything you could possibly need. Beds were super comfortable, everything in the house was high quality. Proximity to Lassen Park is excellent. The property itself is beautiful, especially the back yard- perfect for stargazing and watching local wildlife. Would absolutely stay here again. Also very reasonably priced considering how nice the house and property are.

Incredible private property with all the comforts of home away from home. Peaceful backyard area with fire-pit, BBQ grill, tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the deer up close. House had everything we could want and Shelly and Tony were super hosts making sure we were happy and well stocked with snacks and supplies. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect stay

Wow - just wow! We have stayed in rentals all over the US and this, by far, is the cleanest and best stocked home we've been in. It's way cleaner than my own home! Spotless from top to bottom, the owner had music on and a welcome snack basket waiting for us. Wide open living area up to the loft with three beds - my son got the whole upstairs to himself, which he loved. Three large ceiling fans kept air movement going and the cabin comfortably cool. The main bedroom is large with windows on 3 sides of the cabin, super comfy king bed with cushy mattress topper and a second single bed to the side. Tons of pillows and bedding. The main bathroom was within the suite, with a small sink area separate from and enclosed toilet and a huge walk-in shower. More than ample closet space and a small desk round out the space. The second bathroom was also large and perfect for my son. The kitchen is supremely stocked with all of the cookware, gadgets and plates/utensils you could need. Drinks in the fridge. The outdoor areas were wonderful too - one side with rocking chairs for afternoon shade and a large semi-covered patio with grill and large table. We didn't use fire pit, but on cooler nights, would be great. Several deer came to visit while we were there as well. Indoor and outdoor games are supplied too. Be sure to follow owner's directions, as one way is a private road. Great place to stay for Lassen National Park. Not much to do in town, but we were happy to just stay at the cabin!

Romantic getaway!

This well-appointed & quiet home provided a perfect base for our hiking adventures in Lassen National Park. We had romantic dinners on the patio, sipped wine in the rocking chairs and enjoyed watching the wildlife (does, bucks & even a pair of fawns). The kitchen had everything needed for meals and the owners provided additional & thoughtful treats. We benefitted from deep slumber each night...the bed was super comfortable. The A.C. was very much appreciated since the weather was unusually warm. The house is very private with no neighbors nearby. The description on the listing is accurate and exceeded our expectations in every way! My husband & I have stayed in VRBO rentals for decades and definitely find this home one of the BEST! Shelly & Tony stayed in constant communication which added to the quality of our stay. It was reassuring to know that they were aware of which hikes we were on each day.

Absolutely perfect stay and property for Lassen Volcanic National Park visit

The house is lovely, comfortable and very well equipped and set up. Had everything we needed and more. Outside spaces to sit lovely and relaxing. Friendly deer! Perfect location for easy access to the north entrances for Lassen, one our to fabulous Burney Falls, which Shelley nicely recommended! Communications with Shelley excellent, and she was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The wifi worked very well.

Beautiful Retreat!

We had an amazing stay, the owners had excellent communication, and every last detail was very well thought out. Excellent cleanliness and well appointed modern amenities. Thank you for providing a relaxing space for a fun getaway. We enjoyed the wilderness of Lassen Nat'l Park by day and came home to a beautiful calming retreat which made for a great vacation for our family. We could sit back in luxurious comfort, taking in the lovely backdrop all around us. Highly recommended!

We are Stacy & Cyndee Loucks. We were both born and raised in Shasta County and been married since 1991. We have raised 2 amazing daughters that have added fabulous son in laws to our family. We run a landscape supply company in Redding Ca together with our kids and a fabulous crew. 2023 is when we bought our first short term rental and 2024 was our first year to actually host. We love offering the best hospitality possible and potentially add more homes in the future.

We purchased this property for its seclusion, quiet and natural beauty. Nothing like the city, no road noise here! Crickets, owls, deer, frogs and squirrels... The stars at night are amazing! The home is filled with high end finishes and is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. We have some yard games. We also have family board games. Put down the electronics and get to know your family again! We hope to provide everything you could possibly need, just like home! OR BETTER!

I love how tucked in our cabin is and that it’s so close to the lake without any exposure to any roadways! Truly peaceful place to be!
