This was the perfect place for our annual family gathering - right on the water with enough different spaces for kids and adults to gather and enjoy each others' company in small groups or all together. Loved watching the ferry as well as looking for the seal that visited regularly.

Shannon, i’m sure you hear this a lot, but want to say it that this was such a gift to us to stay at your place these last five nights. Thank you so much for being flexible and accommodating to us.We are looking forward to our stay next year and thank you for working with Lynn to help. Keep the price down in a range we can afford..I think the only ask that would help us is if the bedroom that has the double bed could be upgraded to a queen, but that is just an ask as we know keeping this place running must be quite a financial challenge for you.Oh, the barbecue worked great!Steve Lee425-652-1759 well look for the orcas.

Wonderful!

The LakeBay house was perfect for our family of 12. The views are stunning! Most had a chance to kayak and walk the beach. We enjoyed the two gathering spaces and outside areas. The kitchen has everything a large group could need and Communication was great.

We loved our recent stay and could not get over the amazing views from the back patio! If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay away from crowds and noise, this is the place! 5 stars! Owners are super responsive and extremely accommodating.

Wonderful place to host a get together

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! It was the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family and friends (including toddlers and young kids). The home is beautifully maintained, with a stunning waterfront view that truly takes your breath away.The location is fantastic, with a nearby beach and state park providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun and exploration. The proximity to the ferry for Herron Island made it easy to enjoy a quick adventure.The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, which added to the overall positive experience. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

Great extended family getaway

We have stayed twice at this Lakebay waterfront home with our family of four adults in our 60s, five adults in their 30s, and a baby and toddler. The space allows for everyone to be comfortable, with good areas for people to hang out together or have privacy. The baby was able to crawl around without getting into trouble. We did a lot of cooking and found all we needed. The view over the water is pretty. Short walk on the beach is nice, though you quickly get to private property. The kayaks are delightful.

Great family gathering

Rain or shine, this is the place. This is our 2nd stay and it didn’t disappoint. Comfortable for all, great for kids, inside and out. We will be back.

Family reunion

Delightful location adjacent to the water. Enjoyed the kayaking, walking along the beach exploring the big daily tidal flows. Lots of local venues to visit in nearby towns. Easy access to grocery stores in Gig Harbor. The house is spacious and well furnished and comfortable for a big group, 5 adults and 3 kids. Thank you Shannon.

Excellent multi-generational stay!

Our family (7 adults, one toddler, one 5 year-old) had a delightful time at this house. Communication with Shannon was excellent. House was clean and the property was splendid! Cannot describe how lovely it was to watch the tidal change, to enjoy the wildlife and watch both the Olympic games in the TV room, and the Olympic mountains from the patio.

Annual Family Vacation

Wonderful property right on the beach. Very hot weather and had some issues sleeping. Wish there was some type of cooling system in the house where the bunks are located. Otherwise it is perfect.

Wonderful waterfront house for a large family gathering

We gathered family members from multiple states for Thanksgiving. The house has a well-landscaped outdoor deck, perched right on south Puget Sound. Very picturesque. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the bedrooms easily accommodated our group of ten. We used the two kayaks several times and also hiked on the beach. I really recommend this for a large group wanting a pretty natural setting.

The Best Family Reunion Ever !!!!!

This lovely beach home has so many wonderful features, it is tough to know where to begin. As our group included elderly folks, we appreciated the one level living. Having five bedrooms allowed us plenty of privacy and space during our reunion. We LOVED the layout of the home, which offers gathering spaces for both large celebrations and cozy conversations. The house was very well stocked. We did lots of cooking and never lacked lacked the proper kitchen items for our feasts. Our host, Shannon, was quickly responsive to all questions and requests. She even went above and beyond by extending our checkout time to accommodate our family's needs. We all highly recommend this home for a most magical family adventure !

Labor Day getaway

This home is a find for families and friends who want to relax by the water! The owners who we were in contact with us were so responsive and kind and their house me was perfect for our friends and family annual getaway. We used their kayaks as well as our own and got out on the water daily. We loved watching the Ferry go by (so quiet and calming to see), and just relaxing on their back deck. The home has so many places to spread out and gather and be close and also not have everyone underfoot. Thank you! Beds comfortable and clean home also! We hope to be back.

Annual Family Summer Trip

From the moment my two sons and their families arrived we knew this was the perfect place for our summer vacation together. My six grandchildren were in the water kayaking within 30 minutes of our arrival. The location was beautiful and relaxing and offered many outdoor activities. Kayaking, clam digging, flying kites, making s’mores around the fire pit, and the sunsets were fabulous. We also enjoyed watching the Herron Island Ferry, cranes and sea lions. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. One wing of the house was perfect for kids sleeping quarters and the other wing for adults. The hosts were wonderful communicators and responded quickly to the few questions we had. Great family vacation.

Best place we've stayed.

Our family gets together every year and this was the best place we've stayed. We kayaked during the day and relaxed to sunsets across the water in the evening. We were even lucky enough to see orcas one morning. It's a great place to relax and hang out.

Perfect family getaway location

I love this home. It is 100% as advertised. We had 7 adults & 4 kids under 10 in our group & this home was the perfect fit. Plenty of indoor space with two separate living areas, a well stocked kitchen & well spaced bedrooms made the one rainy day enjoyable. The outdoor space is fabulous. On the one sunny day we had dinner outside & a bonfire. The beach holds many treasures & the watching the ferry come & go is just an added bonus. Thanks to Shannon for making our experience so smooth!

First of all this place has gorgeous views and great amenities like you’re staying with a family member. The house is fully stocked with everything you need to host a family holiday dinner. The host is spectacular and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I will be coming back and booking this listing again. MAHALO!

On the Water Oasis

We could not have had more fun spending time with friends and family here over Easter weekend. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and has plenty of space. The kids loved the bunkroom, reading nook, and running all over the beach. The weather was not that great, but we still enjoyed walking the beach, watching the ferry, and the views of the mountain. Communication was so easy and Shannon so attentive and kind. We will definitely be back in warmer months.

A wonderful weekend away

We had a lovely time at Shannon's place. Communication was quick and no problems at all. The house is a proper vacation/family home and very comfortable. Space for all 12 of us. Makes such a difference having plenty of crockery and cutlery and dishtowels, glasses etc. Beds were comfy. The outside area will be a real treat in the summer but we still made it count with an bonfire every night. Watching the ferry and the tide come in and out - just lovely. The lights and cosy outdoor bar area work well to give it that relaxed, home away from home vibe. Thanks again!
