Tallulah Gorge, Black Rock Mountain, Minnehaha falls, and Panther Creek are all a short drive from the house. The quaint town of Lakemont is right down the road, and you'll find many wonderful shops and restaurants to explore in nearby Clayton too.
Whether you need a girl's weekend getaway, a writer's retreat, or a family holiday in Rabun County, this rustic cabin only 1.5 hours from Atlanta will be perfect for you.

The cabin is a picturesque retreat nestled on a 2.5-acre plot of land, surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you step inside, you'll find a spacious great room with cathedral beamed ceilings and a stone wood-burning fireplace, which is perfect for cozy nights spent by the fire.

The house offers plenty of room to spread out, with two bedrooms on the ground floor and a loft bedroom located at the top of the stairs. All bedrooms are beautifully appointed and furnished with comfortable beds and vintage decor that exude warmth and charm. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials needed for your vacation cooking needs. The two porches are wonderful for enjoying your morning coffee or to unwind in the evening with a good book.

This was a charming cabin nestled in the woods. We had everything we needed to have a wonderful getaway. The cabin nicely equipped and quite spacious. Our host was very responsive to questions and I appreciated that.

A little forest hideaway. We loved the porches, and lake cabin feel of this property. There were many thoughtful touches including a game cashe (in the wardrobe), bookcase, and even a piano. The antique touches madebus feel like we were going to grandma's canin. We loved it!

It was a lovely stay! The cabin was so gorgeous and beautifully decorated, I kept finding little marvels everywhere. Check-in was easy and we were provided perfect instructions, absolutely no problems at all. It felt so secluded but also super close to the nearest town. The kitchen had everything needed. The DVD collection was absolutely fantastic, major props for Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away! I couldn’t be happier with the amenities and beauty of our stay.

Clean and comfortable home surrounded by woods. Lovely screened in back porch, Ten minute drive to Tallulah Gorge and about 40 minutes to Anna Ruby falls which were spectacular.

Amazing!

Everything we wanted, privacy, the beautiful gardens, and the woods!! Since the weather was warm we really enjoyed the screened in porch! Very well appointed except I could find the iron and needed to touch up suits and dress. But popped them in the dryer for a few minutes. We can not thank you enough for a beautiful home to calm our souls. Plenty of board games too! We will be back!

Paradise Away from Everything

My friend and I were visiting Lake Rabun for a wedding. The festivities were at the Lake Rabun Inn and the Lake Rabun Pavillion. The location of this property is ideal for all things Lake Rabun. The property was clean, and truly a unique place where you could truly get away. We have talked about coming back to this property to stay just because! Amazing, amazing time!

Perfectly charming bridal cabin!

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and it was absolutely perfect. We loved the vintage decor - there was so much attention to detail. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Rachel was very communicative and flexible. We wish we could've stayed for a week!

Great stay

We absolutely loved this house. It is very cozy and secluded, the beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. We enjoyed our nights by the fire and morning coffees on the patio, the little window nook was my wife's favorite place to read. Everything was clean, an abundance of extra towels, napkins and sheets. We would've loved to stay longer, but couldn't because we had to work and the Internet was a little slow.

Very cozy, rustic cabin filled with historic touches and modern conveniences. Comfortable, roomy porches. Private and safe area. Beds were comfortable. Historic Lakemont is beautiful.
