Acogedora casa durante todo el año a las afueras de Portland Maine en Highland Lake.

La escapada perfecta durante todo el año. Siéntese, relájese y disfrute de la hermosa vista del lago en cualquier época del año. Te sentirás a kilómetros de distancia a pesar de que estás a las afueras de Portland Maine. Nuestro campamento durante todo el año se encuentra en Highland Lake. Es el lugar por excelencia para disfrutar de todo lo que Maine puede ofrecer. Estamos a poca distancia en coche de las hermosas playas de Maine y de nuestra estación de esquí local. Shawnee Peak Estamos a una hora de White Moutains y cuarenta minutos a Freeport. Siéntese junto a la hoguera y escuche los bribones mientras observa la salida de la luna, o saque uno de nuestros kayaks y flote en paz. Nuestro campamento ofrece un bote de remos, cuatro kayaks y una canoa. (Chalecos salvavidas incluidos) Un muelle de 50 pies para pescar. Hay una balsa de trampolín en el agua y varias carrozas para que todos disfruten. Tenemos un juego de croquet, un juego de bochas y un pequeño juego de voleibol / bádminton que se puede instalar en el patio trasero. En el invierno, puede ir a esquiar, pescar en hielo o andar en moto de nieve por la puerta principal. Los propietarios viven al lado, así que si olvidó algo o necesita ayuda para orientarse, solo pregunte y lo ayudaremos.

We LOVED our stay! The cabin is so comfy and clean. The lake is amazing! The host thinks of EVERYTHING to make your stay enjoyable...from plenty of towels to lifejackets to fans to dishes...the list goes on. It's a great location in the quiet but not far from stores and restaurants. There was a bad storm that rolled through right before we got there but Donna came over right away to make sure we had settled in ok. I would recommend this place to anyone asking for a peaceful place to stay and if I ever venture back to Maine I would stay here in a heartbeat!

House on the lake

My wife and I stay for a long weekend, had a great time! Anything you might need is provided, watched the sun rise over the lake right from the dinning table, enjoyed the gas fireplace at night. Off the beaten path but not really 5min and your on the main drag with a multitude of stores. I'm sure its even nicer in the warm weather.

Cozy Lake House

Very nice house off the beaten path, yet close enough to all activities. Nestled in the woods on a lake made for very relaxing down time. Beds were super comfortable which was a huge plus. Perfect stay!

This lakeside home was comfortable, roomie, and exceeded our expectations. With updated finishes and a lot of kitchen and living space, this was the perfect space for a group of girls!

Great lakeside Portland area vacation home!

Excellent accommodations, wish we had stayed longer! Nice to be a short drive from the city, and at the same time be in a nice quiet woodsy area right on the lake! We loved the games area downstairs, and enjoyed boating with the kayaks and paddle boat provided. Lovely view of the lake from the kitchen /dining area. Excellent communications with the host.

Relax lakeside

We had a wonderful 3-week stay at this comfortable lakeside home. Quiet location on a beautiful lake, easy drive to Portland city and airport. Lots of towns and nature walks to explore. Donna is very available and hospitable. Two king size beds is a bonus. Highly recommend!

Excellent !

What we enjoyed the most, besides the beautiful cottage, amenities, and location, was the Lake. The calmness of the early morning views, and the easy accessibility, just to name a few. And of course, the incredible variety of birds, and their beautiful birdsongs. Our favorite was listening to calls of the loons echoing across the lake.

Very nice property. Check out time is 10 and you have to launder your sheets and start the towels you used. Made for a busy morning to check out.

Cozy winter get-away

We visited in February for some winter R & R and the house didn't disappoint! It was spotless and had everything we needed to make a snow day cozy and fun! We went snow tubing about 15 minutes down the road and although the lake wasn't frozen enough for skating, we found a great indoor ice rink about 15 minutes away. The house is located about 30 minutes north of the Portland waterfront, yet it feels like a world away. Restaurants and a grocery store are only about 10-15 minutes away, too.

Beautiful spot

We loved the location on the pretty and peaceful lake. It was relaxing and we enjoyed just sitting and enjoying the view. There weren’t many places nearby to get food, but we enjoyed going to Portland for meals. Having to do laundry on the checkout day felt rushed and it would have been better if we’d had a little bit later checkout time to allow for that and also if it had been communicated in advance. We would have chosen to bring our own linens if we’d known.

Too many rules

When we arrived the host greeted us I was surprised to find we had to make our own beds strip them wash and dry all sheets and towels before leaving put sheets back folded on bed alot of work for vacation I am very used to stripping beds snd putting used towels together but not doung the laundry. Too many signs and rules hanging everywhere you look very threatening message about being out of house by 10 even though you have lots of house work to do Beautiful location nice house not a welcoming atmosphere

We moved here from Portland when the kids were little and plan on staying here to watch our grandchildren enjoy our lake My children grew up making fairy houses in the woods and catching salamander and learning to waterski in their front yard. My husband favorite quote is 'We live here!'

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We fell in love with this view the minute we saw it. With in a few months of us buying our house, the camp next door became available so we bought it and became the proud owner of two properties on Highland Lake. We are close enough to enjoy Portland and all it offers and still be able to relax at the end of the day and feel like we are miles away from work.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Nothing is better than sitting by the fire and watching the moon rise over the tree. In the winter , if mother nature cooperates, you can cross country ski, ice fish, snow shoe or take a long walk down the lake. In the off seasons I am flexible with the checkout time and the cleaning fee. If you want to leave it clean and forgo the cleaning fee. Please check with me. Thanks
