Salmon River Cabin: privado, bañera de hidromasaje, terraza / patio enorme, ducha al aire libre, pozo de fuego

** Varias actualizaciones de mayo de 2016 incluyen un nuevo sofá, silla de cuero / otomana, mecedora, camas, porche delantero y una gran mesa de cocina con capacidad para 8. Además, hay una nueva cama king en el dormitorio principal y todas las camas son muy cómodas con espuma de memoria.

La cabina está situada en un grupo de 5-6 hogares con residentes permanentes. Para respetarlos, no hay absolutamente ninguna fiesta ni ruido después de las 10 p.m. Le agradecemos de antemano por cumplir con estas reglas.

Salmon River Cabin lo tiene todo. Ubicado al final del camino y ubicado a lo largo del río Salmon en 1. 5 acres, hay algo para todos.

Una pared de ventanas se abre a una gran terraza para el entretenimiento, que también es donde encontrarás la gran bañera de hidromasaje con capacidad para 8-10 junto con una ducha exterior cerrada.

El patio es privado y tiene espacio para todo lo que desee hacer. Hay espacio para su juego de frisbee, wiffle ball, bocce ball, asar malvaviscos alrededor de la hoguera o dar un corto paseo hasta nuestro increíble pozo de natación, que tiene su propia playa y sillas de jardín para sentarse y ver pasar el río. Hay un montón de espacio seguro para explorar o simplemente estar solo.

La casa cuenta con una nueva cocina con un ambiente abierto para que el cocinero pueda mantenerse conectado con los invitados. La sala de estar da a la terraza y al patio y tiene una chimenea de propano y equipo de música con conexión para iPod, mientras que la sala del den / TV tiene una estufa de leña. El primer piso tiene un plano de planta abierto con espacio perdido para que las personas se reúnan, se rían y jueguen. También hay una sala de lavandería y baño completo en el primer piso. La casa tiene bochas y juegos de mesa en abundancia.

Las habitaciones están todas en el segundo piso. El dormitorio principal (con baño adjunto) tiene una reina y dos gemelos (no literas). El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama queen. El tercer dormitorio tiene una cama queen y dos camas individuales en una litera completa.

Salmon River Cabin es el lugar al que ir cuando desea privacidad, naturaleza y aislamiento, sin dejar de ser fácil de encontrar y estar cerca de todo lo que desee.

Beautiful location, and our basic needs were met. This property is definitely more of a cabin vibe compared to comparably priced rentals in the Welches area, which are cleaner, nicer, and more up-to-date. Nothing wrong with that; just have the right expectation. The hot tub was excellent, and the hot water in the house held up, which was helpful. It took a couple hours to heat up the house after arrival with the baseboard heaters and small mobile electric ones provided.We felt we should share with other renters the reasons we couldn’t give 5 stars:- The fireplace remote batteries were completely dead with no replacements available and we had to go out and buy AAs to start the fireplace.- Dishes in the cupboard were dirty on arrival, with food residue still on them (several plates, several cups, and several forks). The cutting knifes were dull.- Substantial mold was growing on the cooking surfaces of the gas grill.- Sheets on the beds were very nice, but we all agreed the pillows were flat and the mattresses too soft. Preferences vary, of course.- Watered down hand soap reduces effectiveness.

We had a board retreat here and it was perfect! Great location, a lot of separate spaces to chill when you needed to think but a nice living room where we could all do our work together and a huge table where we could eat together. The setting is amazing!

We had a fantastic time at this gem! The house and backyard are spacious, just as pictured. There are neighbors but it feels very private. The walk to the river out back is like a very small hike but entirely worth it. We were there every day and the cold water was refreshing on the 90 degree days! Inside, the kitchen is nicely equipped, open but not too open. The den is an open space too but the noise doesn't carry to other parts of the main floor. Beds were comfortable - there was a nice mix of flat and firm pillows for all tastes. There is a skylight right above the primary king bed that doesn't have a curtain, so bring your eye mask! We were there in the middle of an unusual heat wave and this house doesn't have A/C. It got chilly in the evenings but even with windows open it took a while for the top floor of the house to cool down after such intense heat. It was fine, but good to know if you are going in the summer and have a low heat tolerance. Also, the power went out while we were there. From reading the binder and talking to the (friendly) neighbor it sounds like this happens now and again. Flashlights were on hand but we did have to drive into town to get a signal to be able to report/check in on the outage. It had a minimal impact on our stay, but something to be aware of if you have anxious travelers. Chris is an excellent communicator and we were grateful check in was so easy after a lot of travel. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Family vacation

We had an amazing trip to Welches! The house was perfectly sized for our group & very comfortable. The hot tub & outdoor shower was awesome. Loved the lathe yard! They offered plenty of supplies & had an easy check out process. A few suggestions-the hot tub cover is very heavy & hard to take on & off, the description about getting to the river & access were misleading. The house was a little “cobwebby” & the upstairs shower was difficult to work. These few things did not impact our amazing stay & we would love to stay again sometime!

We had the best girls trip! River is 5 minute walk away and had a semi private swim hole. We loved the rustic feeling of the house and of course the hot tub! We will definitely be back. We accidentally locked ourselves out after arriving, and the owner was responsive and helped us get into the house within 5 minutes.

Wedding weekend

We loved the property....very quiet, enjoyed the outside firepit, a bit icy but yhe hot tub was enjoyable, and the river was awesome. Had great sleep, a little surprised that all bedrooms were upstairs but no issue for our group. Wedding at Zigzag Falls and dinner at Timberline was so much fun.

A very Peaceful stay

Our family enjoyed the cabin, views, proximity to the mountain and activities in the area. The house was clean and fairly well supplied. We really enjoyed the wood stove, being from GA, it was a delight. The hiking was stellar as well as the short drive to Mt Hood. Our grands really had a blast playing in the yard and exploring near the river. It really is a nice place. The only think I would change are the larger beds, The mattresses seemed like they were out of memory. The bunkbed and twins were more comfortable. All in all we appreciated our stay and benefits of the location. The good news is the couches were pretty comfortable. The owners were great at getting back to us quickly when we needed information or advice.

Relaxing House Salmon River

Property is beautiful. We walked out to the river which was so relaxing. Hot tub was so nice even thogh it was cold out. House is very clean. The beds are so comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could need. Host is very responsive.

True feel of a cabin getaway

Our family had an amazing time at your cabin. We loved the coziness and welcoming, warm feeling of the entire cabin as well as the yard and the Salmon River behind us. The sound of the flowing river was relaxing and we even had a bonus visit of a doe and two fawns one morning. It was an overall fantastic experience! Thank you, from our family. ♥

Great place to stay.

It was a great cabin for us. Lots of room stayed cool even when the temperatures were in the 90s. Only thing i would chand is the grill needs to have a deep cleaning and gas elements replace.

Wish I had known…..

I wish I had known….. that the house would be freezing cold and despite the host’s insistence that it heats up nicely, it did not. It is at the end of a long dirt road with huge potholes. Would have been nice to know before driving it in the dark. Or that the wood stove listed as an amenity only works if you buy your own wood. Or that the stairs are incredibly steep and impossible for anyone with the slightest mobility issues. And that after being there one hour I informed the host that the property would not work for me and yet he declined to refund me a dollar of the money I paid.

Relaxing

Life saving crockpot :) Spent the day before our trip preparing ingredients to throw in my crock pot when we arrived ... Only to forget it. Walking in to find one was amazing! The hot tub was my favorite part, although it took me a while to figure out how heat it back up. Just wish we had more time.

Nice cabin, very quiet

The host/owner was a great communicator. The place isn’t completely secluded, but it is off the beaten path and very quiet. You can hear the river in the background. Everything works. Thanks for a nice stay!

Our experiance

The good: We mostly enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Although neighbors are very close by, the privacy was decent with trees and bushes blocking their view. Lots of space, comfy master bed and pillows. The hot tub was great and was already heated when we got there. The wifi was great cause we had no cell reception. Listening to the trickling of the river from the back yard was pleasant. Not too far from larger towns with more shopping options. The not so good: When we first walked in it was super cold and it took a very long time to reach a tolerable temperature. Lots of windows with no blinds or curtains downstairs. It is a private enough location but overall was a rather cold and drafty place with a musty smell. We tried to close ourselves in the master bedroom to get 1 warm room quicker but the door seemed warped and would not close all the way and would pop open immediately. Theres no reason the house couldnt be warm already when we arrived. The Master shower knob was rather difficult to pull out and push in to turn water on/off. The backdoor knob turns on the inside but not on the outside when it's locked so its easy to accidentally lock yourself out which I did. The back porch could have been blown off, lots of tree debris doesnt go well with walking barefoot from the hot tub.

Good stay

Nice quiet property and the host was very accommodating which isn't always the case with VRBO. The location was great and the property was well stocked. It was a bit dirty and could use a good cleaning as there were lots of spiders and their webbing inside the unit. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Lovely stay in the woods

We loved frolicking in the river, hot tubbing under the stars, and snuggling near the fire to watch Netflix! Huge house with everything you would need.

We bought this cabin initially because my wife and I fell in love with the property. It is magical here. Its private with places to explore, swim and play. A creek that runs behind the yard that allows for fun and games, along with a forest to explore and the best swimming hole on the Salmon River. We redid the cabin to match the property--warm and open and a fun place to entertain. It really meets the needs of our family and our guests. We have made some amazing family memories and hope you do the same.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Relaxation, this place is quiet and yet close to all the activities you want on a get away. It is within walking distance to golfing and professional croquet, close to year round skiing, hiking and mountain biking. We have used this as a base for white water rafting or fishing expeditions as well.
